Hikaru Sawazaki Vs. Mighty Yukiko

Yukiko was finding herself rather interested in tonight's match as she would stand at the Gorilla Position as she would nod her head towards the stage hands to let them know that she was ready whenever they were. Tonight she was going to face off against a fellow Wrestle Angel, Hikaru Sawazaki, she couldn't say they had been best of friends or anything, but she felt a certain kinship with the Wrestle Angels wrestlers as compared to the newer folks here in Friction, just the notion that they were from the same faction a while back made her feel more familiar than she probably was. She was sure they had hung out once or twice, maybe had a few matches and possible a spar or so, but she wasn't exactly a woman that Yukiko had spent a whole lot of time with in her Wrestle Angels days.

Still, perhaps that was something that could be improved on now here in AFW. Which was also why she was looking forward to this match. She would narrow her eyes and bounce on her feet, as she would shortly enough as her theme would start to blast out of the speakers and with it the teal clad wrestler would make her way out onto the ramp, to a loud pop of the crowd as the national fan favorite wrestler Mighty Yukiko made her way out onto the ramp. One arm raised up in the air as she would then take to jogging down towards the ring, giving high fives the crowd and and taking a water bottle that was offered to her with a smile. Yukiko would open it up and of course take a big gulp before she'd throw it right back.

Now that she was reaching the ring, she would jump up on the apron and then up over the ropes so that she landed on her feet inside of the ring, rolling her shoulders a little as she would walk up to the center and raise her arms up and wave towards the crowd. She would then turn and walk towards her corner as she would then await Hikaru to make her way down to the ring so they could start this match.

Hikaru was backstage pacing about. She had won something of an upset victory in her debut and she was eager to follow that up. However, she was facing a woman she never really thought she would be in the same league as figuratively speaking. Hikaru was set to face Mighty Yukiko. Hikaru wasn't sure if she was ready, but she would find out very shortly. As soon as her music began to play she came out to the ring clad in her yellow and black one piece swimsuit, boots as well as yellow kneepads.

Hikaru came out to the ring to the sound of a polite applause with a few cheers from the crowd. She walked down the middle of the ramp and smiled. When she arrived at the ring she climbed up onto the apron then through the ropes, walking around the ring with her fist in the air before settling into her corner. She stretched and kept her eyes on Yukiko, a woman whom Hikaru had never really met but had heard plenty about.

Hikaru held her hand out to shake Yukiko's but wasn't sure what to say to her. Instead she just smiled and nodded. Hikaru was trying to hide her nerves as best she could.

Mighty Yukiko would nod her head as she waited for Hikaru to make her way down towards the ring, as she would lean back against the corner, but when the woman came down to the ring, Yukiko would step out of her corner and start to walk up towards the center of the ring.

With her hands on her hips, she would wait and keep her eyes on Hikaru. So when the young woman came up towards her and offered that handshake to her, the pink haired woman would heartily take it, firmly grabbing the hand and giving her an enthusiastic shake. " Hey hey! Long time no see!" Mighty Yukiko said in a friendly manner. " It's nice facing off against a fellow Angel. How are you doing?" Mighty Yukiko began to speak and in a cheerful manner.

Hikaru was relieved that Yukiko seemed to be very pleasant and somehow recalled Hikaru in Wrestle Angels even though her stint there was a short, unremarkable one. "Thanks, I am amazed you remembered me though since I was one of the small fish and you were, well, you." Hikaru said with a nervous laugh.

Before Hikaru could say anything else the bell rang and she began to circle Yukiko. Yukiko was faster, stronger, tougher.... Hikaru tried not to think of all the ways that yukiko was superior to her on paper. She had to just focus on the match and ignore everything else. She lunged forward, trying to step up and engage Yukiko in a grapple to start things off!

Mighty Yukiko would tilt her head to the side at Hikaru's words, throwing on a bright friendly grin towards the woman. " Nonsense! There were no small fish back then, we were all like....uuuh....Sharks! anyone could have stood at the top is what I mean." Mighty Yukiko said as she would nod her head, moving her hand up to give a pat towards the woman's shoulder.

When the bell rang, Yukiko would back up and raise her arms, her eyes intensifying, a rather stark contrast to friendly face she had put on earlier. She would start to circle Hikaru, but when the fellow Angel lunged forward, Yukiko would match her!

Lunging in and going for a lock up with Hikaru, Yukiko would quickly try and push the woman back!

Hikaru gave it her best, trying to push against Yukiko. Despite being of similar size Yukiko seemingly had more firm muscle on her and Hikaru was being forced back steadily. She tried her best to slow Yukiko's progress but it wasn't long before she was shoved against the turnbuckle!

"Arrghh! No.... ngh!" Hikaru muttered doing her best to shove Yukiko away and swing her open hands at Yukiko, trying to hit her face or head to get her to back off! Hikaru was in a very bad spot, knowing full well what Yukiko was capable of. Her thrashing and flailing were a sign of her desperation to get out of this corner, although it was doubtful that her attacks would amount to much of anything!

Yukiko would be able to pull the woman backwards, forcing Hikaru back towards her corner, forcing her back and getting straight up against her, pushing against her as she would soon enough feel how Hikaru abandoned the lock up to instead swat and swing her hands against her.

Yukiko would wince with the slaps and thrashing as the pink haired woman would release her opponent and start to back up, after all, she was up against the ropes and entitled to a rope break.

The Mighty one would then back up a bit more and smile, nodding towards her opponent as she would raise her hands. " you've got fighting spirit."

Hikaru just let out a nervous laugh at the compliment from Yukiko. She really didn't know what to say, so she nodded in thanks and tried to get back to it. She knew she was a big underdog in this matchup, but didn't want to just roll over and quit. She wanted more than anything to win this one!

Hikaru jumped out of the corner and tried to kick her legs up to aim a dropkick right into the chest of Yukiko, hoping to catch her off guard by moving as quickly as she could!

Yukiko would look on at Hikaru Sawazaki as she waited to see what the fellow pink haired fighter was planning to do, deciding to wait and see for the moment she was rather quickly caught off guard though as Hikaru did something that the Mighty Yukiko hadn't expected.

As the black and yellow spandex clad wrester came rushing towards her, jumping up and driving her feet into the chest of the Wrestle Angels Ace, causing Mighty Yukiko to fall backwards onto the mat, gasping and coughing as air rushed out of her lungs, hands moving up to hold her chest as she rolled over onto her side.

Yukiko stood up in amazement! Her offense actually hit! Hikaru jumped up and made her way over to Yukiko, bending down to pick her up. She had an excited look on her face as she tried to bend down, grabbing Yukiko between the legs as well as around the shoulder. She was riding adrenaline and not about to let go of that. Hikaru was going to try her best to lift Yukiko up and slam her right back to the mat, smiling the entire time as her start to the match had been far better than she could have expected!
