AJ Shay vs Remi Tachibana - Determination vs Grace

Alexa worked her limbs around Remi, managing in both their weakened states to completely entangle her opponent. This could have been all she needed to put this match away. Both her and Remi seemed to be scraping the bottoms of their energy reserves at the moment, if her for couldn't crawl to the ropes this match was as good as hers.

Like some form of rabid spider monkey she clung to Remi’s back, squeezing and choking the woman with every ounce of strength she could muster, trying her hardest to knock the other girl out. As her opponent reached back, hands floating neat her face, she didn't give it much thought. People struggled like this all the time, grabbing hair or tugging at her limbs, this was no different… except it was.

Remi’s fingers and nails jams into her face, dragging painfully across her features, catching her eyes. Her hold shattered almost entirely as she let out a scream, releasing her arms around the other woman's throat to clutch her face with both hands, thrashing to the side as she writhed in pain. She wildly kicked out her legs, trying to blindly shove Remi away from her.

Remi managed to catch Alexa off-guard with the eye-rake, which allowed her to escape the hold. Gasping out, she would move away from her opponent, trying to catch her breath. The referee who saw the dirty move from Remi earlier, harshly admonished her for doing so, and she told her that if she did it again, she would be disqualified. Remi barely acknowledged the referee's words as she took this opportunity to recover from almost being choked out by her opponent earlier.

Hoping that the eye-rake did its job properly, Remi would then get herself back on her feet, still trying to catch her breath. She would then move away from Alexa, giving herself enough room to recover. The crowd booed her for her underhanded tactic, and even Remi didn't like it, considering that she considered herself a fair player above all else. It's just that the situation itself had forced her to resort to such a move. This time, she was determined to overpower her opponent with her wrestling prowess.

Alexa had rolled herself over, finding some manner of purchase on the canvas away from Remi on her knees. Hunched forward in like a gargoyle, she hissed as he fingers pressed where nails had dragged across her fragile face. Her hands were shaky as they came away, staring down at her clean palms that kful they were not caked in blood.

The fresh wounds left their mark all the same, notable redden lines of her smooth features marred with the temporary raised redden flesh of a deep scratch that had just failed to break the skin. She blinked her eyes, vision spotted with small dots of white and black that didn't seem to go away.

Alexa remained where she partially rose, trying to shake her head or rub at her face with her palms. The match had taken a back seat as she tried to work sight back into her eyes. She didn't seem to take notice of Remi recovering, the room ng threat of attack far from her mind. It wasn't even certain if she had heard the referee verbally administering their warnings for the behavior.

Standing up and recovering, Remi looked at Alexa, who was still affected by the eye-rake. Thinking that her opponent was in no shape to fight back at the moment, Remi would close in, looking to grab her by her head and put her in a front headlock. Hoping that her opponent would not be able to do anything at the moment, she would tighten the hold as she would reach down for her bottoms so that she could try to hoist her up and over, throwing her behind with a vertical suplex!

Remi needed to cause as many damages as she could on her opponent in order to secure her victory. The fact that she had to resort to some dirty trick seemed to leave a bad taste in her mouth, but it was something that had to be done in order to achieve her win in this match. She couldn't allow herself to lose, no matter what!

Alexa expressed her surprise as Remi clamped down her hands on her, tugging her up at least partially onto her feet. Her boots scuffled along the canvas as she fumbled blindly forward, letting out a choked grunt once an arm tightened around her neck. She rapidly blinked her eyes, still having trouble keeping them open as they watered from having them gouged.

She still had the wherewithal to struggle, putting her hand on Remi’s hips as a push off point to try to pull away. She winced as the woman's arm flexed around her constricting her in direct opposition to her attempts at escape. Then she felt it. Something grasp for her waistline… fingers clasping, grabbing hold of a handful of fabric. “No no no!”

But it was too late, she was already being hoisted up into the air, a fine display of Remi's strength and form as well as Alexa’s aptitude to look good still while in peril, which she very much was. She hung in limbo, the blood rushing to her head at the peak of the suplex, it almost felt like time slowed dragging seconds into minutes. The shift of motion continued, gravity taking hold again as she came crashing down flat onto her back with a cry of pain, the impact shaking the ring with a this that rang out loudly.

Her figure bounced with the recoiling push back of the ring beneath her, leaving her back feeling numb to anything but the sting of the suplex. She breathed raggedly, trying to catch her breath after it was knocked out of her. Thankfully she had started to regain her sight, but the damage may have already been done. She made a weak attempt to break away, moving to roll to the side to make some distance.

Slamming Alexa down into the mat with the vertical suplex, Remi let out a huff as she took a look at her opponent. Brushing aside some of the stray hair off of her forehead, she decided to just try ending this match by putting herself on top of her opponent, going for a pinfall attempt as she would hook an arm under the crook of Alexa's knee.

With her being on top of Alexa, Remi pinned her down as the referee came over next to them, counting for the pinfall attempt, slapping the mat next to them.

"ONE!"

Her plan had been to flee, regroup, and take another swing at Remi after she had some time to recover. The other woman hadn't even humored the idea of a soft reset, instead catching her the instant she had tried to roll away to drag her over onto her back. It wasn't as if Remi was a particularly powerful woman, but in this moment she seemed to control Alexa with an ease that had the brunette red faced in embarrassment. She had no energy to fight free as her foe simply dropped down across her, hoisting a leg up towards the rafters.

This was bad. She knew it, it seems as though the audience thought saw it as well. They were chanting the count, aleven over the lingering jeers of Remi’s eye rake, in their eyes Alexa had already lost and they were sending her off. This realization to her was far more demoralizing than anything her opponent she could have said to her. If she didn't have the support of the fans, why bother going on?

“Two!”

She could simply give in, laying down to take the pin in its entirety. Take a loss and move on with her life… was this who she wanted to be though? A quiter? She had been here before, in a sense, made to tap out. She hated it, that feeling of helplessness, being at someone else's mercy. This wasn't the same though, not with Remi. The woman have attacked her eyes to get her here, letting her win now would only prove cheap tricks like that worked.

No… if she was going down, she was going down fighting.

Alexa drew in a sharp breath, cheeks puffing up as she held onto it within her mouth. With all she had, her body twisting as she threw her palm up at Remi’s shoulder, shoving at the woman with everything she had. It turned out, that wasn't much, but just enough to get a shoulder up off the mat. Even with her best efforts she remained awkwardly beneath Remi, her leg still held up. Alexa gave the captured limb a shake, trying to not only free it up but push Remi off her.

Remi thought that would be the end of this. She disliked the fact that she had to resort to a dirty move earlier, but she believed that it was necessary in order to win this match. So, she remained on top of Alexa as the referee counted for the pin, thinking that her opponent wouldn't be able to kick out.

But, she was proven wrong when Alexa managed to break the pin at two, and she stared at the girl in disbelief. Letting out an annoyed huff, she shook her head as she would get herself back on her feet, grabbing Alexa's head to pull her up as well. "You better stay down after this..." Remi grumbled. This time, she would properly finish this match with a legitimate move, not a half-assed, dirty move like an eye-rake that she did earlier.

So, she would lift Alexa up, making sure that her opponent's back was resting on her shoulder. Holding Alexa face up on her shoulder, Remi would link her arms around Alexa's torso and press down, squeezing her spine against her shoulder. And then, she would bring her down, swinging Alexa's body forward so that she could land a double knee gutbuster, having her land into both her knees belly first. It was her finisher, Saving Grace, and she hoped that this would take the younger woman out of this match.

Alexa pushed up at Remi, trying to dislodge the woman but got little more than a look of annoyance as a result. She wasn't sure if it was due to the fact she had managed to break the count or that she was making sure a feeble attempt to free herself after the fact. It hadn't lasted for long as her opponent slipped off her to rise to her feet, grabbing her firmly by the head to guide her up as well. The brunette reached up, grasping at her foe's forearms as if to fight back but could do little more than go where she was being lead. Her legs wobbled, forced to stand she relied more on Remi to keep her upright than her own power, something she was not happy to admit.

Alexa's eyes shifted up to glance at Remi from below, half hunched as she had been manhandled back to her feet. She had better stay down? Who did this woman think she was, threatening her like that. Her grip tightened slightly, finding enough strength to rise further on her own. "Don't count on i- Egh!" She hadn't even gotten a chance to finish her defiant sentence, trying to mark a combat with a tinge of wit. Instead, she was scooped up with a panicked cry. The world spun as she was transitioned across Remi's shoulder, wincing as gravity and her captor worked in tandem to bend her painfully against the grain. She let out a choked gasp, kicking her legs and reaching out with her arms as if to struggle free.

With a sudden rush of air, she found herself popped up off Remi's shoulder in a state of free fall. What might have only been a second felt like an eternity of hang time as she drifted down towards the mat. A straight fall or slam would have been painful enough but was a luxury she wasn't allowed her tonight. Her body crumpled down across Remi's knees, sinking deep into her abdomen. Her eyes shot wide, mouth opened to scream out in agony but nothing came. The oxygen had been forcefully knocked from her body leaving her with a sharp stab of paint and a dull numbness to her extremities. Like a marionette with cut strings she flopped off her opponents knees to lay sprawled out across the mat, sprawled out exactly as she landed as if broken into pieces. She was left staring at the ceiling, eyes glazed over slightly, hollow, as she struggled to breath.

Remi managed to perform her finisher, Saving Grace, perfectly, and she saw that Alexa seemed to be neutralized, which would allow her to seize her victory. After making sure that Alexa was on her back, she would put herself on top of her, pinning her down on the mat. She would also grab one of her legs, lifting it up as she went for the cover, and the referee came over next to them, slapping the mat to count for the pinfall attempt.
