AJ Shay vs Remi Tachibana - Determination vs Grace

She found it scary how easy it was to inflict pain on Remi with this hold. It almost felt like being on a leg press machine. She pushed up, holding firm on either end of the woman to arc her arm in an unnatural way. She would tuck her legs back in then extend them out again, pumping the girl up into the crippling effect t of the submission. Even with the woman's struggles, she was fairly certain she could keep this up indefinitely, possibly even win the match with this move. There was one problem though…

The screams. Remi’s agonizing cries as Alexa worked her back was almost too much to bear. She tried to shut them out at first, turning her head and pretending they weren't there. It only got worse, each time the woman screamed she felt her body buckling, she knew she was responsible. It got to be too much… so she broke the hold. Letting go of the woman's neck and thigh, she pushed her legs out fully to roll the woman off of her.

She turned herself over, trying to shake off that sick feeling that had swelled with Remi’s cries. She had managed to get herself over onto her hands and knees, crawling over to her downed opponent. Without a word, she draped herself over top of her, attempting to go for an early pinfall.

At first, Remi would blink in disbelief when Alexa stopped applying the submission hold. Perhaps she thought that she was going for a pinfall rather than a win via submission? Or perhaps she wasn't prepared to hear what it was like to be wrenched mercilessly in a submission hold? Whatever it was, Remi would find no answer to that as she was then pinned down by the rookie. From there, she would attempt to regain her bearing, looking to kick out of the pinfall attempt.

"ONE!"

Still, the bow and arrow hold had done quite a number on her, that despite being released from the hold, her spine and neck were still aching from the pressure applied on them. Even so, she was already out of the hold, and she would try to seize this chance to recover and bring the fight back into the match. But in order to do so, she needed to kick out of the pinfall attempt first, or else she would end up losing against the rookie.

"TWO!"

And that's the second count. Mustering her strength, Remi would kick out as hard as she could before the referee could count up to three. Right before she could bring her palm down, Remi managed to kick out, but she was still exhausted from the earlier hold. Even so, she would try to push Alexa off of her to give herself a breathing space.

It was an odd sight, going for a pin after intentionally letting her opponent out of a hold. The referee didn't question it, she had seen her fair share of odd in friction, this was hardly the strangest thing. Alexa know a Pinfall was unlikely, but thought perhaps she might be able to squeak out the window here. She had been able to do quite a number on the woman thus far so there was always a chance she would be unwilling to continue or unable to escape the simple pin.

She counted in her head, victory seemed closer now than ever as the counts fell. She almost believed she had it when Remi buckled beneath her, stopping the count. She had started to lean back when her opponent gave her a shove which toppled her onto her backside. She scooted backwards, putting some distance between the two of them as she stood up.

She was still pretty fresh, coming out of her exchange with Remi mostly untouched. She bounced on the balls of her feet, shifting her weight from side to side as she waited on on the woman in purple to get up. “So when was that lesson you were going to teach me actually start?” She flashed the woman a big goofy grin.

Unlike Alexa, Remi was pretty winded after being subjected to the submission hold earlier. Panting, she would roll over to her side before ending up on all four. Upon hearing Alexa's words and seeing her stupid smile, Remi would throw a glare at the rookie, thinking that she might be taunting her. "Gkh... y-you'll see..." Remi growled as she would get back up on her feet.

Once she got up, Remi would take a stance. This time, she had to be careful, or else she would end up getting humiliated by a mere rookie. Thinking of continuing the match, Remi would lower her body in preparation to lock up with Alexa again. She would get close to her opponent, seemingly going to have an collar and elbow tie up again.

But, as she got closer, she instead dipped down, going lower as she would try to wrap her arms around Alexa's body, looking to clutch her hands together in order to lift her up and try to slam her down into the mat.

Remi had come across as a bit full of herself, it was true, but Alexa had no real reason to dislike the woman. There was a likelihood a lot of that stuff was all for show. It was hard to tell in this business when you you shared the ring with them. So she may have prodded the woman a bit with a verbal jab, to build their dynamic, perhaps humble the woman a bit. Alexa was pretty harmless as far as personal attacks went.

She lowered her stance, arms raised as she locked eyes with Remi. She waited for the woman to act, moving in as her opponent did. She seemed ready to tie up, willing to grapple again now that she had worked her opponent over a bit. She was caught by surprise when the woman dipped down, hugging her arms around her waist rather than meeting her head on.

She reached down, pulling her hand on Remi’s shoulders in an attempt to shove her back. “Hey!” She was already being hoisted off the ground though. She kicked her legs as she was brought up into the air then let out a gasp as she was deposited hard on the mat. She grunted as she was slammed flat on her back on the canvas, reaching behind her to clutch her back.

Already slamming Alexa into the mat, Remi considered her next option. Seeing that her opponent was on the canvas, it would make sense to keep up with her assault. But she would like to conserve her strength first before she could bust out some big moves. She decided that she would like to use a simple move for this, but she knew that even a simple move could deliver quite a devastating damage.

So, Remi would leap up into the air, extending out her leg in midair before falling back, looking to hit Remi across her chest with a leg drop. If possible, she would like to quickly go for a pinfall attempt to keep the younger woman under pressure, giving herself more edge over the rookie in this match.

Alexa groaned on the mat, one eye closed as she looked up.at the looming figure of Remi. She clutched her back, kicking one of her boot heels down against the canvas as she suffered through the impact. Her eyes snapped wide as her opponent took to the air, slipping her arm out from under her as she attempted to roll away in a panic.

Remi's leg drop didn't hit her quite as intended, but caught her pretty good on her side as she attempted to flee. She let out a cry of pain as the woman's weight crashed down against her, gritting her teeth. The rookie was flopped onto her back promptly after failing to escape, her opponent going for a swift pin to try and sniff her out early into their exchange.

“One!”

Alexa threw up her arm, giving remind shove at the same time. She wasn't even going to humor the woman by taking that extra count to recover. Tucking her arms in, she promptly made to roll away from Remi, trying to get to her feet as fast as possible. She didn't seem to be terrible slow yet, while Remi’s attacks had been effective, it seemed she was still managing them decently.

While the leg drop didn't hit Alexa as she intended, Remi still got the rookie under her, though Alexa still managed to break out of the pin. Alexa pushed Remi away before she rolled away from her in order to get back up. Seeing this, Remi would get herself on her feet as quickly as possible so that she could go after Alexa.

For this, she would extend out her arm, hoping that she was quicker than Alexa while getting back up so that she could land a clothesline right into Alexa's chest, hopefully taking her down into the mat with the attack. She needed to keep the rookie under pressure, giving her no time to compose herself so that she could finally take her down at the end of this match.

This was fine. She was fine. She started off strong, losing a bit of steam wasn't going to kill her. She wanted to believe that anyway as she raised herself back up, meeting the other woman's eyes. She drew in a deep breath, stepping in to meet her head on. Planting her foot, she twisted hard, pivoting to start to throw her leg up into one of her new roundhouse kicks… and she mistimed it. Remi ran straight through her with a clothesline, bowling her over before she had gotten half way through the motion. Perhaps this wasn't the best of time to practice skills she had only just learned.

Alexa hit the mat hard being caught by surprise in an awkward half turned position. The impact threw her to the ground, rolling her up onto her shoulders temporarily before she flopped onto her back again, blinking in confusion over what just want wrong. With a loud grunt she tried to sit herself back up, trying not to get caught out on the ground too badly.

Remi's clothesline managed to knock Alexa down onto her back, and she was looking to keep it up. Seeing Alexa trying to get up, she decided that the rookie should stay on the mat as she would try to deliver a shoot kick right into her chest to send her onto her back. Then, she would step away slightly from Alexa before she did a very picture perfect standing shooting star press right onto Alexa's prone body, splashing her onto the mat with her weight and the impact.

Right after that, Remi planned to grab one of Alexa's legs as she would go for a pinfall attempt, and the ref would come over next to them, counting for the pin.
