Scarlet Farley vs. Kozue Kaburagi - Kunais and Cutlasses

They didn’t have to wait long for the referee to come bursting out from the curtains and come scurrying down to the ring. After all, the crowd was already getting restless from the wait they’d endured before Scarlet even showed up, and management had the good sense to not make them waiting any longer than need be. They had a show to do, after all, and this excursion was just the tip of the spear. Time to get things moving along.

Kozue was in the corner as the official prepared to get the festivities underway, crouching down with her back to the ropes as she waited for the bell to ring. Preparing. Stewing. Thinking about the way she’d messed up at the Pig & Sickle Massacre. She’d underestimated Scarlet for one thing, which seemed like an odd thing to do with a woman nearly twice her size, but there it was. The woman was crazier than a shithouse rat, but she wasn't stupid. The functional kind of crazy.

She’d paid a heavy price for that, but she was smarter now. Knew how to take it. Bug bites, whittling away at Scarlet until she went down, hammering her defenses and seizing each opportunity that came her way. That was the way to end this.

No holding back. No hesitation.

The referee raised her hand, nodded to both wrestlers, and signaled for the bell to ring.

The second - the instant - that bell rang, Kozue took off like a cannonball shot, charging hard across the ring, making a beeline for Scarlet. When she was close enough, the New Jersey Ninja leaped up, extended her feet, and came at the pirate with a strong dropkick to the chest, aiming to hit both breasts with a heel as she did it.

As the referee made their way into the ring, The captain had motioned them over. A bit bewildered  and in an obvious hurry to move things along she hesitantly stepped up to the beckoning Captain. Scarlet cupped her hands together, nodding for the official to do the same. Reluctantly the girl played along, holding her hands up like a bowl as Scarlet removed numerous rings from her fingers, knowing from experience such things would be counted as weapons if she were to hit Kozue with a closed fist. They couldn't have that. "Good on ye." She gave the referee a small shooing gesture as they scampered off, passing the personal effects to a staffer ringside. It wasn't long before everything had been finalized.

The Captain hadn't been paying Kozue much mind, instead choosing to stretch herself out a bit, much to the delight of the crowd. If they hadn't known of her before, many were going to remember how now. Laying about backstage of crates and cables did her little favors...

She considered potentially hanging a hammock for herself someplace in the back if they intended to keep her sidelined for much longer. Though, after tonight, with what the audience was about to witness, she doubted they'd want to keep her off air. In that respect she should thank this odd little ninja woman for jump starting her debut.

She hummed contently at the sound of the ring bell, hearing it again in person was a delight with brightened her features. Too long since she last set foot into a ring to compete. The moment was sullied by her opponent though, charging across the canvas like a woman possessed. The Captain stood her ground, while she was pleased to have a fight, her heart wasn't quite in it at the moment.

It was hard to take Kozue, someone so small and wiry very seriously without good reason. As the woman came up, her heels planted themselves firmly in her breasts, compressing her chest as she took to bracing steps back but remained upright. If there had been any doubt to the American Ninja of the authenticity of Scarlet's endowment, which had been insinuated at the bar, the resistance, give, and lack of wild jiggling was enough to speak on the purity of her form. Scarlet raised a brow as the other woman hit the mat, questioning her choice of opening gambits.

The Captain stalked forward with thunderous steps to take back the ground she had lost. As she loomed over Kozue, she raised her knee, her long leather boot suddenly resembled the barrel of a gun in sleekness of design and implied thread having it pointed directly at her. Her foot back down, boot heel stabbing itself down at Kozue's right knee. The lumbering attack would surely be a devastating strike to her lithe frame if she failed to remove herself from the zone of impact.

Scarlet didn't seem very concerned with preserving her opponents well being. While she was a showman, and these days, partnered with Rosemary in the future, she spent most of her career as a ruthless heel. Habits such as these were chains not easily broken.

Kozue’s opening gambit wasn’t quite as simple as it might have looked to the outside eye. It actually had two parts to it. The first was landing the dropkick, and the second was turning it into a dropsault - a variant on the move that would’ve had her flipping back and landing on her feet, ready to follow up with haste.

Good idea. But that variant required a certain amount of give from her opponent, to make the backflip work. Kozue didn’t wind up getting that, because Scarlet and gravity had a very strong relationship. The woman only took some small steps back, mostly unfazed, and that meant there was only one direction that Kozue was going - straight down.

”Shit-” She came down on her shoulders, but there was no time to lament the failed move, since Scarlet was already moving in for the kill, raising a deadly foot into the air and bringing it down with all the subtlety and power of a sledgehammer.

Kozue drew her legs in, avoiding the stomp at the last moment, but she didn’t just stop there. She rolled off her shoulders, threw her legs up, and popped to her feet in an instant, landing in a crouch, creating some distance between them.

She only stayed in that position for half-a-second, though, before she launched herself at Scarlet once more, her long hair streaming behind her as she flew. This time she came low, throwing out a roundhouse kick to the side of the giantess’ knee, trying to see if she could have better luck chopping this tree down from the bottom.

The Captains boot came down with all the force of a collapsing skyscraper to slam onto the mat. The thunder clap of the impact sent a ripple which shook the foundations of the ring enough to disturb the ropes.

There was a joyful maliciousness in the moment that lost some purchase on her face when Kozue tucked her leg away. The grinding crunch of flesh and bone lost beneath there heel wasn't something she was permitted time to dwell on, her foe was still moving.

Scarlet's eyes followed the American Ninja movements with a general lack of care. It was far too early for disappointments like this to actually upset her. Most of these small men and women were flighty little birds until their winds were clipped. For all their speed and heart, it would only take her one moment to render all their hard work for naught.

She had started to trudge towards Kozue when the first struck again. Her leg hooking around to clip Scarlet behind the knee. Her stance buckled for a moment at the unexpected loss of balance.

Rather than teeter and remain upright, she embraced the waves rolling over her and dropped to a knee. Sloppy as one may have expected, one of her palms planted itself to the canvas to arrest her fall from going any further.

One eye narrowed as the other remained open wide, grinning as she was brought to a knee, finally paying attention to Kozue. Her body twisted as she extended her arm out, using her superior reach to try and grasp to the smaller woman's throat, or if too far, grab for her the cloth of her top with little mind towards what she might actually catch hold of so long as it was something.

Kozue shivered along with the ring as Scarlet’s heel came hammering down, hitting with the same ungodly force that had put her down in record time. It was a redundant thought, but she couldn’t get over the power this woman wielded. It rivaled Killer King’s, and she didn’t have his crippling stupidity to even things out.

But she had speed, she could count on that much, and she was more than willing to show Scarlet just what she could do with the right timing.

Her kick came crashing down into her knee, and she couldn’t resist a brief burst of elation. Granted, she would’ve much preferred to just bring Scarlet down, get her on her back, but this? This would do. She could get her into a Shining Wizard like this, and then-

”Grk!”

There’d be a smirk forming on her face, but it vanished when a hand reached out and grabbed her by the neck, catching her with a vice grip. Kozue couldn’t breath, could scarcely gasp, and Scarlet wasn’t even using both hands. This. Woman.

Not wanting to spend a second in this longer than need be, her body spurred into motion and went on the attack. She swung her leg low and fast, trying to catch Scarlet with a rising knee to the chin.

As The Captain's hand found flesh, her fingers clamped down around her throat, the jaws of a wild beast whose teeth sunk on deep. There was a knowing look on her face, a doomsayer preaching the end of the world finally finding justification in the fires on the horizon. She had begun to rise when Kozue's knee struck her square in the chin, jarring her head back with a grunt. She had hit her dead on, and yet, nothing changed. She was still standing up, dragging the American Ninja with her, stretching her out at arm's length to hold her aloft. Her head had returned to face Kozue, meeting her eyes. The Captain was smiling. It lacked the warmth one might expect from it, instead carrying with it an emotional weight of something else... pity perhaps?

She threw her arm up, displaying a dangling, possibly struggling Kozue to the Friction arena with a shout. Parading the woman who called her out for not only those in attendance but the world to see. This is what one could not only expect from her but expect to happen to them should they face her in the ring. The display was short lived. Just long enough for a few pictures, burning this into their minds. From there she took a few charging steps forward before kicking off the ground.

The two went up into the air together, and as they came down in unison Scarlet landed on the canvas on a knee once again, bringing Kozue's form crashing down to the canvas with all the power and momentum she could give her. before releasing the girl, she took this moment to take a cheap shot. Coiling a fist back, she drove it down at Kozue's stomach, if the chokeslam hadn't winded her, this was meant to do the job. There was no hesitation, no sense of remorse in anything she did. Strictly business. No quarter.

Releasing Kozue from her grasp, she took her time standing to her feet. She took the time to now nurse her jaw with a light rub, snickering down at Kozue as she rose to her full height. Casually stepping around the girl, she raised up a boot to place it on her chest, leaning down on her weight to attempt one of the more disrespectful pins there were. Surely this wasn't the end?

Kouze kneed Scarlet in the chin - right in the goddamn face - and she didn’t go down.

A knee. To the chin. And she didn’t go down.
She didn’t even slow down much, if at all, and her grip on Kozue didn’t ease one bit. She was still rising, standing, lifting her into the air, and...oh, fuck. She was going for a chokeslam.

Kozue fought, squirmed, and kicked as she was hoisted into the air with frightening ease and held aloft, displaying Scarlet’s stagger power. Her hand went to the pirate’s wrists, holding on and trying - in vain - to pull free. But there was no escaping this, no getting out of what was coming her way. It was just a matter of waiting, and she didn’t have to wait too long.

Kozue went up and Kozue came down, crashing hard on her back with a thunderous impact that left the crowd wincing and the ring shaking. She didn’t even have time to cry out from that pain before Scarlet doubled up, striking her hard in the gut with a vicious blow.

It would’ve folded Kozue up into a little ball, if the buccaneer's boot hadn’t made that impossible. Sh pressed down, keeping the New Jersey Ninja flat and pinning her shoulders to the floor. That brought the referee running over, and she began the count. ”1…!”

Kozue sprang to life, fighting hard to not be pinned by this of all things, but it wasn’t so easy. Scarlet was a heavy woman, her heel was pressed down, and it took some real effort to move the thing.

”2…!”

With a strong heave, she shoved Scarlet’s boot away and saved herself from the most embarrassing loss of her career. She rolled over to her chest and started to push her way up, rising despite her body’s mounting protests.

The Captain gave a small wobble as her boot was displaced. She snickered at first until it evolved  into a large laugh. Looking over the crowd, she gave everyone in attendance a large dramatic shrug. Standing over Kozue, she gave the girl a shove to her back, letting her start to rise from zero again.

"Allow me to help ye." She leaned down grasping for a handful of her ponytail, predominantly displayed so much it was hard not to use it as a handle. Her other hand reached out to grab hold of the American Ninja rear, fingers digging into one of her cheeks invasively. From there she grunted, attempting to deadlift Kozue up into the air, high above her head again, a full extension of her arms.

Dropping to one knee, she left the other foot planted to keep her leg at a steady right angle. With the fluid drop, she brought Kozue down with all of her might, to slam her back out along the raised knee in a vicious backbreaker.

It wouldn't end at the impact alone, as her hands shifted to move over top of the girl. One to grip her chin, the other to clap down on her thigh to not only hold her in place across her leg, but forcefully bend her out across it in a follow-up submission hold.

Kozue was starting to see what the problem was, here. Scarlet was like a boulder rolling downhill - once she got going, she gathered momentum at a ridiculous rate, and there was just no stopping the onslaught. She moved from one crushing move to the next, and there was barely anytime to catch your breath or plan something or throw in a counter. The woman was relentless.

As if to illustrate that point, Scarlet reached down and snagged her ponytail, which would’ve been distressing enough, but then she had to go and grab her ass, too, sinking her fingers in for a handful. ”Hey, hey, get the hell off my-”

A shriek was forced out of her as she hoisted high into the air, held high, then brought down across the steel girder that was Scarlet’s knee. Searing pain shot through her spine at the impact, and it only got worth as she was held there, bent further and further down, her flexibility put to the test. Desperate to get free, she pushed at the grip on her chin with one arm and swung her elbow at Scarlet with the other, trying to give her some incentive to let go.

"Perchance I pull ye hard enough to sneak an inch or two more from ye, hm?" The Captain let out one of her now signature boisterous guffaws. She seemed to handle the smaller woman so casually, that in itself was an insult. Her sheer brute strength allowed her a great many advantages, one among them was her innate ability to shrug off most blows she received until an area had been worked over sufficiently.

The odd strike here or there from Kozue, while she felt the dull thrum of pain from each, did next to nothing to prevent her from moving forward to the next pain she sought to inflict upon the poor girl. While Scarlet was more than willing to walk through a hail of punches and kicks to grab hold of her targets, she could not abide by giving them easy opportunities to retaliate against her. She had been in this business for far too long to make such a foolish mistake.

Kozue's elbow impacted itself against a tone wall of solid abs, enough to warrant a grunt from the Captain. Her eyes narrowed, even despite the circumstances, she felt that one as plain as day. No amount of bending this girl over her knee was worth several more of those, not when it was an unnecessary thing to subject herself to. She hunched down over the girl, giving her taut body one last forceful shove downward against the natural protests of her human form. The Captain would rise swiftly again, tossing Kozue away from her across the ring as if she were a heap of garbage being discarded into an open dumpster. Rising back to her giant's height to watch the girl land as she would.

Her palm sought out where the elbow had dug in, giving it a small rub and a scratch, playing it off as if it were nothing. The Captain lumbered onward, taking her sweet time to make her way after Kozue. "I'll be rememberin' ye name this time, Kazoo. Ye been enough of a bother to warrant it." Wait... was that her name? her brow furrowed before her shoulders rolled back into a shrug.

It didn't much matter to her. These weird name though... it's as if their parents wished them into obscurity. As she neared, if Kozue hadn't managed to pull herself up off the ground by then, she would lunge in with the last step of two, attempting to savagely kick the girl in the side, hooking the toe of her boot beneath her to see the girl thrown from the ground towards the ropes, possibly even spilled to the outside.
