Athena Wonder vs. Scarlet Farley - Roads of Power

It looked like Athena was booked for another match, this time against someone named Scarlet Farley, who called herself the Dread Pirate. Not that the blonde MILF had anything derisive about that, considering that she herself presented herself as a superheroine while wrestling in the ring.

Determined to win this match, Athena gave herself one last check up, making sure that her tight, long-sleeved leotard was properly worn. Satisfied with her looks, the Eighth Wonder waited for her cue to make her entrance in the gorilla position, crossing her arms under her ample breasts. Athena was well-known for her impressive physique despite despite being quite old. No matter who she would face in the ring, Athena would give it her all to ensure that she would emerge victorious in the end.

When her entrance music was played, Athena marched out into the arena, greeted by the applause and cheers from the crowd. As usual, the blonde MILF would pose by flexing her arms, showing off her impressive, voluptuous figure, earning her quite a nice pop from the crowd. And they sure appreciated seeing how tight her outfit was, hugging her impressive figure quite neatly.

Athena Wonder:

After that, Athena headed over to the ring, head held high as she walked down the ramp. When she finally reached the ring, she heaved herself up the apron before entering. She would pose in the ring some more before she unclasped her cape, handing it over to the ringside officials so that she could wait for her opponent to show up. She couldn't wait to see what her opponent was like.

It hadn't taken much to cause a stir. One match in fact. An impressed crowd researching where someone like her had come from had an easy time looking up her impressive history. From there the news she had been hired onto the AFW roster took on a life of it's own. In no time she was being stopped in the streets for autographs and pictures or getting free drinks at the bar. Sure, with the fandom came the odd few weirdos who wanted her to put them in headlocks or throw down with her in a parking lot. She hadn't let Rosemary in on what happened to those ones though, she had a feeling the smaller girl would lecture her to no end if she knew she was brawling outside of the ring again. Despite being the younger between them, tiny little Rose liked to try and play nanny with her for some reason, as if she could actually keep her in line. Funny.

Tonight marked her first official match through booking. The demand to see her again had been far too high so they relented on their push to keep her off TV until her out of ring behavior improved. She didn't know much about her opponent tonight, mostly because she didn't bother looking. She wasn't another small ninja girl playing pretend, so that was a plus. Her name was all she knew. Athena Wonder. Assuming she had a gimmick, she pegged the woman for either a magician or a superhero. She had almost made a bet over it with Rosemary in the back, but it was clear the younger girl knew the answer already with how confident she was to actually try to goad Scarlet into it. As cunning as Rose could be, she had a terrible pokerface.

Athena loosed small from here as she observed the entrance from afar. Flashy suit, check. Boob window, check. Cape, check. Superhero it was. She had high hopes now, as beloved as her first opponent had been, they were a crass little thing that didn't really give her a good foundation to work from in terms of ring dynamic... Unless you buy into the whole pirates vs ninjas thing. A true blue hero against the dastardly pirate scourge though, that sold itself.

The air was humid where she perched, even with the light breeze lapping at her hair. Her opponent looked so small from here. Everyone did really.  She was almost tempted to spit down into the ring, just to see if she could hit Athena but thought better of it. She was going to be hard enough on the woman once she got her hands on her, best to save it for the show. The arena light in pulsed, letting her know it was time. Swinging out over the catwalk, she held on time to the thick chain and planted her boots. She gave a gesture, letting the backstage crew she was all set.

As Scarlet's music blared over the sound system, the stage and ramp remained darkened. Within the center of the stage the projected image of a flapping black flag was displaced. On it's face a skull a crossbones, solid black and white save for one long scar down along the face to mirror her own. The crowd gasped as spotlights trained themselves high above the ring as Scarlet hung out precariously from a slowly lowering anchor from the rafters above. The idea had been Rose's for the girls own sky captain gimmick, but despite being an aerial ace the younger girl wasn't nearly daring enough to do it, so like all good pirates she claimed it for her own.

No one questioned the logic behind it, more invested in the spectacle of having something so unique for a seemingly ordinary match. To her however, the theatrics involved we're important. It's why she was always in character... The pirate getup also had the added bonus of most people not trying to cut her in line. Ever.

Even with no microphone her voice rang out loud and clear for most to hear as she sung a shanty on her decent. It told a tale of work and whimsy as the admirals daughter tried to reform a pirate only to become one instead in a referral of roles. As she neared the ring, she reached back and unclasped herself from the safety rigging hit within her coat, leaving the article of clothing behind along the anchor. The drop was only two or three feet when she hopped off, much to the terror of those in back, so many safety codes violated in an instant.

"What a well laden strumpet you are." She shamelessly looked Athena up and down, giving her a small cat call. A few members in the audience following suit, which got a boisterous guffaw from her within the ring. Her lovely little parrots in the crowd, how lovely. Hatless tonight, she still gestured removing it to hold the non-existent headgear over her chest as she bowed deeply with a western flourish, though the gesture seemed more in mockery than sincerity.

"The Crimson Helmsman, Captain Scarlet Farley. Ye may simply call me Captain." Rising from her bow she flashed the older woman shark like grin with an accompanying wink. "A right shame ye cape not be white, we'll be needin' to hoist that high in surrender soon enough lass. Though, if I'm bein' honest with ye, I'd be providin' ye a ringside burial either way." Her voice was a sweet Irish singsong whose tone had been bastardized by the harsher more deliberate sounds within her pirate lingo. There was a sharp edge to her words though, subtle but there all the same that came across rather threateningly.

Athena looked up when her opponent finally made her appearance. While she had seen this type of entrance before, it still never failed to stun her. She did make this sort of entrance once when she was younger, but to see someone hanging in the air so precariously, one couldn't help but blink their eyes owlishly while staring at the stunt performed right before their eyes. It was clear now that her opponent was sort of a big deal, even before joining AFW.

When her opponent, the one who styled herself as a pirate, finally landed, Athena studied her as she crossed her arms under her chest, trying to ascertain what she was like. Tilting her head as she listened to her words, Athena would then introduce herself in the same manner as hers. "The Eighth Wonder, Athena Wonder. Just Athena is fine," she said to Scarlet, not moving her arms as she stood tall like what a superheroine ought to be.

"Well, you certainly aren't the first one to try giving me a burial of any kind," Athena responded to Scarlet's words confidently. "And you're not going to be the last." She lowered her arms as she stepped away from her corner. "Also, do you know how most pirates met their ends?" She tapped her fingers on her neck, smiling in a self-assured manner. "Come on, guess." While she could understand the appeals behind pirates, there's still no changing the fact that pirates are nothing but high-sea robbers who should be brought to justice. And as a superheroine, it's her duty to bring this one to justice.

It was so very tempting to make a buried chest reference, what with Athena puffing hers out like that. It was almost too easy... And she had already made mention of burying her. A shame. Scarlet had a whimsical look on her face, already enjoying the casual banter. "The Eighth Wonder hm? Sound like ye will make a right fine prize." Her weight shifted to her back foot, leaning back slightly. She was a rather animated woman, rarely standing still for long. Her posture was far less pristine than her opponents, almost always off kilter just slightly. She had an easy going air about her when her tone remained undarkened.

Scarlet quirked a brow to the question she was posed, letting out another thunderous laugh. "Most, ye say. I don't think I have to be worryin' about scurvy, mutiny, or the law... Ye really think ye'll be the one to scuttle me ship, do ye?" She was grinning from ear to ear, finding this hilarious. Her head lowered slightly, eyes peering over at Athena while shadows played over her face. "Ye be out of her depth lass... Try not to drown. Nobody is coming to rescue ye." There was a grim bit of finality to her words as she slowly backed off from mid ring. She leaned in slightly, somehow knowing to duck the raising anchor from her entrance.

As the anchor raised it cast a large shadow over the ring, one which slowly dissipated once it finally was raised high enough to clear the lights focused down below. She idly waited for the bell, working out her neck and back with soft audible pops as she applied pressure. Facing the ninja lady hadn't really been a proper warm up back to the ring, not after being gone for so long. Someone Athena's size would make for a far better showing and a chance to get back in the swing of things. She clapped a hand to her shoulder, slowly cranking her arm to roll it. She'd remain like this until the bell finally sounded.

This one was confident, that was for sure, though Athena wasn't lacking in terms of self-assurance either. Athena did not respond to Scarlet's words as she would step back, giving herself one last preparation for this match. She did a little stretching up, showing off her impressive physique to the masses. And then, the referee would call for both wrestlers to come to the center before she went to call the bell, finally officiating the match.

Stepping forth, Athena would begin by holding out one of her hands, offering to latch it on Scarlet's so that they could start the match with a contest of strength. The Eighth Wonder was looking to ascertain the Dread Pirate's strength so that she could determine what to do next in their scuffle. From the look of it, Scarlet seemed to be a rather formidable opponent, putting her pirate gimmick aside.

Scarlet hummed softly, the very same shanty she had been singing earlier was the referee finished their part of things. Stepping back to center ring, her eyes never left Athena's. She had been staring for quite awhile now, did she even blink? Save for the hints of intensity in her voice, she hadn't been nearly this serious in their brief interaction.

Her grin widened at the offered hand. The all to familiar test of strength. Did the self proclaimed heroine really think she would go along with this? Both women looked the part of capable powerhouses, no one would argue that. Was she hoping to app already to her sense of competition? Stepping in she seemingly humored Athena, slipping her fingers intertwined with with with her opponent's.

No stranger to this sort of showmanship, she slowly offer her other hand to Athena, to complete the lockup. Just before that could happen however, her threw out a hard kick to Athena's midsection in typical heel fashion. She had her weight behind the blow, making the most out of the first actual attack of the match to try and bend the heroine in half or bring her to a knee. She wouldn't have the element of surprise like this again after all. Did she need to play dirty to win her matches? No. But it was something ingrained in her character, something that despite being morally wrong people seemed to cheer her for. Go figure.

If her boot had landed firmly enough to cause the desired effect, she would violently yank her hand free from their shared grip, clapping her hands together to linger over her head. Fingers locking into one another, she balled her hands into one massive ball of fist to bring it down as hard as she could muster in a double axe handle smash at the woman before her. Scarlet was as powerful as she looked, each heavy strike carried with it the added force of her weight making her already impressive striking feel more like solid weapon strikes than an actual person's body parts.

Athena had been in this industry for years that she's used to people actually trying to pull some dirty tricks on her. There were times when she's not above using them too. The moment her hand locked up with Scarlet's, the Dread Pirate brought up her foot, delivering a hard kick to the Eighth Wonder's midsection, driving some air out of her lungs. "Guuuhh!!!" She doubled over, bending down after taking the surprise attack.

With Athena bending over, Scarlet then yanked her hand free from the blonde superheroine before she held her hands together above her head, bringing down both hands in order to hammer Athena's back with a double axe handle smash. "Urghhh!!" Both hands hammered on the back of the Eighth Wonder, bringing her to one of her knees. From the strike and the kick before, Athena could surmise that Scarlet definitely packed quite a tremendous strength in her, and she had to react accordingly to it. Those strikes were indeed painful, but she had taken much worse before.

Now brought low to her knee, Athena would attempt to stop Scarlet from following up her double axe handle by bringing an arm around Scarlet's knee, hooking it around in her effort to pull the Dread Pirate's leg under her. She was hoping to make her opponent lose her balance, thus giving her move advantage in this fight.

Scarlet had leaned her weight into the kick, digging it in deeper than she really needed to to reach her desired reaction. She loved to play things rough and loose, with no real game plan in mind she ran on instinct alone. This had the added benefit of making her very good at adapting with a bit of flexibility to her style. It came at the cost of being extra efficient though as she rarely laser focused her efforts on one body part and worked it over hard during the match. As Athena was bent down before her, Scarlet looked on with a glint in her yes, wanting so much to lift the woman up and bring her crashing down to the canvas. She knew better than that, as an opening gambit it would be follow to go for something so big on someone as large as the heroine.

Axe handle smashes were among one of her favorites, even if she rarely made use of them over something else. The feeling of weight and power she was able to put behind them was noteworthy, as Athena soon found out. Both attacks had been very telling about the heroine's ability. While she had passed up on the test of strength, how the woman had taken her attacks had told her most of what she was curious about.

Reaching down she laid her palms down on Athena's shoulders. She hadn't intended on stopping there, even if it was the perfect time to boast or taunt. She could do that once the woman had been properly laid out on the canvas. Before she could press the assault further, Athena had looped an arm around her leg, scooping it up which left her in an awkward position. She was being dragged down, but still upright. Rather than risk being yanked down into a split, something she was in no way flexible enough for, she fell backwards to the mat, letting the other woman have her desired result somewhat begrudgingly.

Her impact shook the mat, a larger woman than a bulk of the AFW, when she went down it was something that wasn't easy to ignore. She propped herself up, peering down her body at Athena with a grin. "If ye me down here all to ye'self, ye only needed to ask lass." She raised an eyebrow, throwing a small jest at the other woman, another test to gauge her by. She didn't take the woman as a prude. It was a hard thing to imagine with how big and beautiful she was and her choice of attire. That would have been a waste. If Athena didn't hesitate, she had an opening to follow up on having brought Scarlet down. If she did find herself distracted for just a moment, Scarlet would lift up her free leg and try to bury her boot heel in the woman's face.

Successfully bringing down the Dread Pirate to the mat, Athena listened to Scarlet's words, and in response, she smiled wryly at her. Being someone her age and having quite a storied career as a wrestler, the Eighth Wonder wasn't one to be easily embarrassed by such comment. Responding to Scarlet's words, she said, "Is that so? Well, you're not offering." Seconds later, she saw from the corner of her eyes that Scarlet was about to deliver a kick right onto her face, but she didn't have much time to completely avoid the attack, so she just moved her head aside to avoid a direct hit.

Still, the kick still managed to scrape her by the side of her face, and she winced from having Scarlet's heel brushing against her cheek. Even so, that wasn't an excuse for the Eighth Wonder to stay idle, so she would quickly release the Dread Pirate's leg as she would scoot back, distancing herself from her. She would try to crawl away from her to increase the distance between the two of them.

If she managed to get herself out of Scarlet's reach, Athena would quickly get back on her feet, eyes still fixed on the Dread Pirate to see what her next move was. She needed to catch her breath first before she could come up with her next move, which would allow her opponent to get back up as well. From their clash earlier, Athena could surmise that Scarlet was a very strong opponent, and the Eighth Wonder had to react accordingly and come up with a suitable strategy to take her down.

"May have, if ye bought me a drink or two first." Scarlet let out a deep laugh, watching as Athena scurry back from her. The woman's choice to flee and regroup was taken as an open invitation by the good Captain to run her down like a dog. Her lips parted displaying her teeth with a wide grin. She was leaning forward, clamoring to her feet in hot pursuit, taking long strides to close in fast on Athena.

The Pirate Captain didn't believe in giving her opponents room to recover. She was built for endurance and power and used it to her advantage in every way. For being a larger woman, she didn't tire easily and took most blows in stride. Once she got a whiff of what she considered weakness she became a unrelenting force. The super heroine would find out fairly quick she couldn't afford to ever let up.

Her steps were heavy on the canvas, even if Athena hadn't seen her coming, she certainly would have felt and heard her. Subtly wasn't something Scarlet put to much thought into when it was so unnecessary. Once she was close enough, Sher threw up her leg mid stripes, attempting to slam the sole of her boot squarely into Athena's face to bring the super heroine back down to the mat. If she managed catch her with the big boot, she would keep her foot solidly against the woman's face all the way to the ground to turn it into a massive stomp as well.
