Marc Troyard vs. Felina Rodriguez - Back At It
-VS-
Victory Conditions: Victory by pinfall, submission, or KO
***
”I’ve got this. I’ve got this. I have this.”
On the outside, Felina Rodriguez appeared every bit the calm, confident kickboxing champion that many perceived her to be, standing there, slugging away on heavy bag in the gorilla position, waiting to be called for her first match in a really long time. She had a new look now, a bit more serious before, with her hair tied up, her legs protected by thick, strong pads, and a chiseled six-pack. The look of a kickboxing warrioress, battering the bag back and forth with lethal kicks.
Focused. Determined. Strong. Inside, though, she had some niggling doubts. She’d taken a sabbatical over the past few months, staying out of the ring to really focus on her training. It wasn’t that she was doing bad in the AFW - far from it, actually. She was still undefeated after three matches, something she was quite proud of, but she didn’t want to just ‘do well’ - she wanted to exceed. That meant fighting at the top level, expanding her skills in wrestling and making sure her kickboxing skills stayed sharp. That meant being the best she could be.
So, several months later, and here was the test. The ‘new’ Felina was about to make herself known.
She forced those jitters as far away as she could get them, took a deep breath, and stepped out of the curtain the moment she was given the signal, putting herself on display to half of the entire world.
To her delight, the crowd gave her a decent round of applause, welcoming her back with open arms, always happy to see a new face return. That helped ease up the nerves just a bit, more than she expected, and she rode that high all the way down to the ring. Felina promptly rolled in under the ropes and popped up to her feet, bouncing off to her side of the ring. There she stood, getting in some shadow boxing while she waited for her music to end and the real show to start...

Re: Marc Troyard vs. Felina Rodriguez - Back At It
Backstage, Marc was pumped for this match. Of course, it was with a woman, go figure, but this one was rather special. Well, all of the matches that he had so far had been special. He met a model, danced with the darling of Tension and had a sexy fling with a purple haired doctor. What could be more better?
Well this time she's facing a kickboxer. An actual champion kickboxer.
Needless to say, Marc was more than happy with the matches that he was getting. I mean, he gets to be in the ring with some hot, sexy and awesome women. That alone was a dream come true. But Marc always felt that he needed to be with someone who had great striking ability. Not to say that he didn't like rolling around with a woman, but Marc was quite comfortable when it comes to just dueling with just your fists and feet.
Which makes this match all the more better when he sees a glimpse of his opponent. He had heard of Felina and thought one day he would like to at least trade strikes with her, not only does she have the natural Latina beauty but she had skill. Real skill. Well, anyone who is part of the Rodriguez family could say that they have skill.
Pounding his red taped fist, he was psyched up. Chloe Mason was there at the gorilla position, with her two bodyguards of course. Almost as if leading a lamb to slaughter. Which is what she thinks as Marc is about to go with a kickboxing champion.
"Just make sure you come back with your mouth and lips in one piece. The rest of you, I don't care." Chloe said as she begins to walk back to her office, her 6.5 inch heels clacking. The blonde had things to do, papers, documents and still recovering from a hellishly tough match with Taylor Parrish. "Well I'll try. Can't make any promises,
Miss Mason." Marc replies, not turning to face Chloe. Chloe responds with just a back wave. "Have fun with your date, or whatever..."
The music hits and the crowd do welcome the perfect gentleman, the audience seeing that Felina isn't the only one with some changes...one being that he had a beard. Hopefully that acts as a cushion for hard strikes, but this is Felina he's facing. Shaking hands and taking pictures with the crowd before he slides inside the ring, with the same charming smile that he always has. Marc was at least dressed right, black boxer shorts and shoes. He took one look at Felina. And of course, his mind always has something to say.
"DAAAAAAAAAMNNM!! STILL AS HOT AS EVER!!!" Be still, beating heart.
Marc did learn to maybe go easy on the charm, some girls apparently aren't into that and Felina seems like the kinda girl that likes it competitive and not much on the talking. Although, it wouldn't hurt to send some nice words on her way. Men here in Tension can be absolute assholes and Marc never liked being put in the same crowd as them. "You're looking good. Even better than what I have been hearing about you. Glad you're back." He says, scratching his head. "Can't believe I'm about to face a kickboxing champion. Here's hoping I don't get killed here. Ehehe. Although I probably might be with how beautiful you are, dear."

Re: Marc Troyard vs. Felina Rodriguez - Back At It
And today’s contestant was: Marc Troyard.
Felina wasn’t the best when it came to doing research on her opponents - at least, not as much as Carmen would’ve liked. Today, though, that wasn’t her fault. It wasn’t that she didn’t try to look up some stuff on Marc, it was more that there wasn’t much to look up at all. Period. Most of her Google searching turned up an overweight, bald real estate salesman in Ohio. Not the same guy, she was guessing.
So, that being said, she didn’t know much about the man before he came sauntering out from behind the curtains. When that happened, she learned a few things immediately.
First off, he was suitably hot. Lots of muscles, built to fight, a rugged look overall. She wasn’t a fan of facial hair, but if she were, he’d have plenty to offer. The audience sure didn’t seem to mind, seeming more than a little friendly with the guy as he made his way down to the ring. Off to a good start.
Second off, he was suitably friendly. Almost a little too much so - she could appreciate some flirting, but the dude was laying it on thick from the start. She could work with that, though.
”I’ll try not to go to hard on you, handsome. Don’t want to ruin that pretty face.” She gave him a wink fully expecting to kick him in the face multiple times. The referee just groaned and ushered them towards the middle. She extended her fist, looking for a bump.

Re: Marc Troyard vs. Felina Rodriguez - Back At It
It is understandable that not many people would have known Marc Troyard. Unless if you were in the streets of New York, you wouldn't see him fighting in a amateur or even a pro circuit. So he'd have to impress her right from the get go.
And it seems like he did impress her... personality wise at least.
He'd wanted to stand out from the male Tension crowd (hopefully) so showers of praise and compliments are to be expected of him. He's always honest. When a hot and beautiful girl is stood in front of him, he'd say so. Even if they have pads on and have an admittedly impressive six-pack.
Marc smiled when Felina responded, rubbing his chin. Nice of her to say that. But with experience, if someone says that they don't want to ruin that pretty face, 99 percent of the time they do. Ah well. Comes with the territory, this job.
She extended her fist towards him, looking for that classic gloved fist bump. He would kindly respond in kind, bumping her padded fist with his tapped one. "Appreciate it, Although it would be cool to witness the level of a champion myself." Giving a cheeky wink in kind. The ref would go over the rules but Marc would look up and down and examine that body of hers with his eyes.
Yup, she's gonna be one hell of an opponent.

Re: Marc Troyard vs. Felina Rodriguez - Back At It
Wow. And people told Felina that she could be a bit of a big flirt sometime. While it wasn’t that odd for her to play a few mind games with her male opponents, few of them gave her this much material to work with - Marc seemed like he was on the verge of falling at her feet. Granted, he would be doing that regardless in one way or another, but she appreciated the attention.
She tapped fists with him and took a step, hopping back on her heels as she made space between them. ”You might be closer to it than you think.”
The bell rang and Felina snapped to attention right away, breaking into her kickboxing stance, sharp as ever. One foot slightly out, arms raised, bouncing on the balls of her heels. She kept her eyes forward, never leaving Marc for a second...thought she did take the occasional detour to check out his chiseled chest. Quite nice.
Felina held back for now, though, not wanting to be the first to make a move this time. She still had some questions about Marc and the way he fought, and she didn't want to try and kick his head off before she got answers to some of them.

Re: Marc Troyard vs. Felina Rodriguez - Back At It
He might be indeed.
As he bumped his taped fist with her own padded one, Marc took a step back himself, both starting even. He took time to wave and wink at the audience, particularly the women in the stands. Overtime he had been building quite the fanbase, although his record might not be as good, he's still lovable in his own right. Besides, his matches weren't like this so he felt right at home. Not that he wanted to exclude getting his wrestling skills to be at a competent level but nothing like throwing some punches....Well, that and rolling around in a bed maybe...
Would she be interested in that sort of thing though? "Well! Never say never!!"
With the bell ringing to signal the match, Marc broke into his southpaw stance, keeping light on his feet, his fist clenched tight and he would close the distance between the two, not a single step misplaced. When he got closer, he would shift left to right, eyeing her movements. Despite what people knowing him to be quite the gentleman, he's ever appreciative of an opponent's form and not lacking in knowledge. He brought his left leg forward for a quick step before throwing a quick jab with his left, aiming towards the chin before throwing another with his right, but lower and towards those abs of hers. Nothing fancy, just to test the waters.

Re: Marc Troyard vs. Felina Rodriguez - Back At It
Felina kept her playful smile on even after the bell rang, but underneath things were decidedly less friendly to Marc, already planning all the ways she could win this thing. She analyzed him from head to toe. Checking out his body, yes, but making more important decisions. Noting his Southpaw stance, the calm and controlled way he moved, the occasional glance at her breasts - though, to be fair, that last one might’ve been her imagination.
She inched her way in, cautious, waiting for him to make the first move, which he did without too much prodding. His left jab came in quick, might’ve even hit if she hadn’t moved back when he advanced, but she managed to move her head back just enough avoid it all the way.
The second strike was a little trickier. That came in and hit her stomach, knocked some wind out of her - but not so much that she couldn't retaliate. Her leg came up in a flash, swinging low for a snapping roundhouse kick to his thigh, whipping it hard. Immediately after, she brought that same leg up and in, then shot it out with a side kick towards Marc’s chest, attempting to push him back and establish the range.

Re: Marc Troyard vs. Felina Rodriguez - Back At It
Well he could probably admit that he did had a glance of her breasts. Although he's probably fearful that it would make the situation worse. He's already gonna get hit hard. Best not add anger to the attacks.
But to be fair, like Felina, he was figuring out more on the opponent's stance and posture, even her reactions as he moved in closer. It may be his first professional fight, but he was studying more on the kickboxing champion.
Too many times you'd see people testing the waters with fighters throwing jabs, just gauging how far they could keep the opponent out of their reach. It is a sustainable tactic but admittedly, Marc was more excited to get started, already going for the attack, which did work some. The first one was blocked but he had a feeling the second one would have struck gold. And it did, knocking sons air out of her. But Marc knew that this would need some more punishment if he was to take the air out of the Latina beauty.
Her and were pretty nice.
Being close quarters with a champion was already risky as it is so he planned on moving back, resetting his guard, but Felina's leg cane out low and in a flash, smacking him right in the thigh, which made him wince some. Nah, he knew that leg kicks are a bitch and could really hurt, that one video of someone ending a MMA fighter with a leg kick was brutal enough. He had to retreat.
Just as he stepped back, her leg came up, never touching the floor and shooting straight towards his chest. His guard came to his aid as both forearms came together to shield him. Still doesn't mean he was subjected to the powerful impact, it was only his arms and not his chest. Better than the latter. He took two steps back, again, reset his guard. But damn, that felt like it could have done some damage. "Well damn,
pretty good kick there." Should he really be complimenting his opponent during the fight? Only Marc.

Re: Marc Troyard vs. Felina Rodriguez - Back At It
There were many reasons why Felina had opted for kickboxing over boxing - besides being undoubtedly better at the former than the latter, of course. One of those that come to mind right now was a simple one: she loved the way a perfectly placed kick sounded against a human body. A nice, solid, meaty THWACK. Couldn’t be beat.
Bonus points for doing real damage, too, landing nice and flush on Marc’s fine skin. The guy made a good heavy bag.
What was more, her second attack, the one meant to push Marc back, did its job beautiful. This was the range she wanted him at, where her kicks could do the most damage with the lowest risk of retaliation. If she had her way, he’d be staying there for the entire night. The next few seconds were acceptable, too.
”Like that?” She had a quick giggle as she moved in, her bare feet practically gliding over the canvas. ”Love this.”
She brought her foot up in a wide, sweeping arc, her leg slicing through the air as she came at Marc with a high roundhouse - the same kick that had brought many a woman to the floor in some of the best bouts in her career. How would Marc take it? She was curious.

Re: Marc Troyard vs. Felina Rodriguez - Back At It
Marc couldn't help but be impressed by the kickboxing champion, the power in which her legs produced for those two kicks. He was really getting a feel of his opponent. Literally and figuratively. Still, he could feel the sting from that first kick to the thigh, Marc knowing all too well what a good leg kick can do. One could really halt the victim's movement. He'd have to be more careful.
The bearded gentleman didn't really want to be just a heavy bag this time however, he was studying his opponent more and more, even with the briefest of intermissions as they move about. No doubt Marc knew much on the applications for kicks, longer limbs, stronger muscles, better to pick your opponent apart at a good distance.
So Marc would have to get inside where the advantage is neutralised.
So far, he only saw her kicks, wherever or not she could punch remains to be seen but as her leg swings high and wide, Marc would step in and duck his lower body down with a attempt to duck under the kick, albeit having the foot grazing the top of his head there. Marc already decided this was not an opponent to be slept on.
Regardless if the kick did had a lot of power out in it for a need for a follow through, Marc's taped left fist swung towards Felina's side with a low hook before immediately coming up, his right fist shooting up, the second attack looking like a cross between a uppercut and a straight.
Either way, it was firing diagonally up towards the chin of the kickboxing champion.
