Lost and Found

Rika was sure that her punch was going to connect, so she was very surprised when Akashi turned her punch against her, and then she ate the mat. She raised her face up, blushing in embaressment. "Hey! You said you were gonna let me attack first!" She bounced back to her feet, raising her fists at the ready again.

Akashi looked down and smiled. "I did let you attack first. I never said I would let you connect with the attack but man I'm glad I didn't. You look like you got some power in those fists. I was almost tempted to see if I could take that hit but maybe I'm getting a little wiser." She went down to her knees and attempted to put Rika in a headlock, not wasting anymore time on banter. It seemed if she let this girl take all the shots she could she might just end up on the floor.

Rika was almost to her feet when Akashi caught her in the sudden headlock, causing her to yelp. Immediately she started struggling against the sumo. She was already losing her first fight here, she had to make a come back!

Rika would attempt to drive her elbow into Akashi's side several times until she let go, and then quickly follow up with a punch to her gut.

Akashi groaned when the first elbow drove into her. She was right, the girl knew how to hit. Even the first one hurt but she didn't let go right away. She had to hold on even tighter. The punch to the gut nearly took the air out of her and her body screamed at her but she knew she only had to suffer a short while longer. She would attempt DDT from the headlock, just to daze the girl and then roll away, clutching her sides and wincing. "Shit.." She panted out the word in a huff as she tried to gather her breath.

Rika grinned as her punch connected, and was sure Akashi was going to let go of her soon. But she underestimated the sumo's ability to take pain, and still found herself in the headlock. Growling in frustration, Rika was about to throw another punch into Akashi's gut. But she woman beat her to the punch with the DDT, and Rika cried out in alarm as her head fell to the mat. Since she was unused to wrestling moves, Rika didn't know how to counter them or how to lessen the damage of them. She lay there on the mat, stunned and groaning in pain.

Akashi was hoping for something a bit more lighthearted but she got a real workout. She wasn't expecting the girl to hit so hard right out of the gate but it seemed like she wanted a trial by fire instead of being eased into it. Akashi took a few precious seconds to try and recover as much as she could befor trying to land a double axe handle down onto Rika.

Rika was shaking the cobwebs from her head as Akashi recovered, and was making her way onto her hands and knees when the sumo's blow struck against her back. She cried out in pain, and her arms and legs shook from the impact, but she still remained upright on her hands and knees, whethering through the attack.

"Not...good enough!" Rika panted. She would jump out at Akashi then, driving her shoulder into her gut.

'ooph!' Akashi was slammed backwards by the assault. She grunted. "Getting alittle rough for practice..." She said with a slight grin. "I'm not complaining but you don't want to escalate this any further. It serves you nothing." It was a friendly warning. Akashi wasn't going to let a rookie beat her but that wasn't really the warning. Even if Rika ended up winning, she could still be the loser. An injury before she even had her first fight would be bad.

Rika decided to press her attack further, launching herself at Akshi. trying to pin her down beneath her. IF she managed that, she'd grin down at Akashi. "If you don't go all out, how can anything be gained?" she replied. Even if this wasn't her debut she was taking it as seriously as if it was.

With Akashi beneath her, Rika would try to throw two quick punches across her face, and then throw one behind her into Akashi's unprotected stomach.

Akashi was only waiting for the response but gave none of her own. There was something to be gained by not going all out all the time, but it seemed Rika didn't quite understand that. Maybe she would someday. As soon as she finished, Akashi rleaned on her back and brought her knees up to slam them into Rika's gut, hopefully she would be able to strike in the few moments before Rika reacted.
