Maria Tempesta vs. Peggy McIntyre

It felt good when the knee connected, the crowd cheered for Peggy for a change. She was used to a more mixed reaction but she had to admit, she really liked it when the crowd got behind her. The look on Maria's face was also very satisfying to Peggy. "Whats wrong? Not used to pushing people around then have them stand up to ya?" Peggy said as she grabbed hold of Maria's arm.

Peggy planted her feet and twist her torso trying to wipe Maria over to the ropes as hard as she could!

Maria heard Peggy taunting her. Normally, she would have taunted back, but at the moment she was still catching her breath from being kneed in the gut by the Irish girl. She was still doubled over when Peggy grabbed her by the arm and unceremoniously whipped her across the ring. 

As she bounced back, she breathed hard, tried to focus, and raised an arm for a clothesline...unless Peggy could counter and hit her with something else first, that was...

Peggy rushed at Maria looking to leap up and dropkick the woman in the chest! However, Maria was coming back quicker than she expected and Peggy's head snapped back as she plummeted to the mat and landed flat on her back! "Augh!" Peggy groaned as she landed, bringing her hands to cover the back of her head as she rolled to her side.

Maria planted her to the mat hard, halting the momentum she had built in one fast, hard strike! Peggy hated this lady, she reminded her of Chloe... a loudmouth who can fight but still needs to be smacked hard to make them shut up. Peggy couldn't stand when someone could talk more than she could.

Maria's counter worked, and worked beautifully, her boot slimming hard into Peggy's head and dropping the other girl hard. A mixture of cheers and boos -- mostly boos, admittedly -- rained down from the audience. Maria responded to it all with a smile and a nonchalant shrug.

"Sorry, that hurt?" She teased, pressing her foot against Peggy's side to shove her onto her front. "Let's Dr. Tempesta make it all better." Sitting on Peggy's back, she would cup the other girl's chin and pull back, wrenching on her in a quick but effective camel clutch.

Peggy was down and felt her head yanked back, Maria's hands locked around her chin! Peggy screamed out as her own hands reached up to Maria's clawing and pulling at them in an attempt to get her to loosen her grip! Peggy was not off to a good start and this woman seemed perfectly all right with talking non-stop.

Peggy had to shut her up, somehow. The best way would be to get momentum and start playing head games of her own, however Maria always seemed to be a step ahead of Peggy meaning that such as task was certainly going to be difficult!

Maria grinned as she yanked on Peggy's chin, stretching the poor girl underneath her relentlessly. "What's the matter, I thought you were used to being on the bottom?" She teased. To add insult to injury, she released one hand from Peggy's chin and leaned back, slapping at Peggy's button. "Come on, giddy yap!"

Maria's aim wasn't to make Peggy to submit at this stage: it was just to humiliate and torment her a bit. After a few more seconds, Maria would try to slam Peggy's head down against the mat and roll back to her feet, circling the downed Irish girl and giving a mocking bow to the booing crowd.

Peggy had experienced more than her share of humbling moments in matches so far in her less than stellar career. This was a new low. The butt slap and head pound left her reeling, holding her head in her hands as she groaned in pain kicking the mat.

She had to do something now. Peggy grunted as she tried to orient herself swinging her legs out to sweep Maria off her feet!

Maria smiled as she looked down at Peggy, taking a few minutes to savour her handiwork. Peggy was already finding out the hard way not to mess with her, and if the match continued going the way it was going now, then she would pin this slow Irish girl before long.

As she moved closer to Peggy, ready to pull her up by the hair, however, Peggy's legs lashed out. Maria gasped as her legs were suddenly knocked out from under her. Her butt hit the mat. Wincing, she rolled, trying to get back to her feet before Peggy could fully recover...

Peggy scrambled to her feet just as Maria did and she clearly looked pissed. She was tired of this womans antics. She was just as cocky as Chloe, a lot less violent and brutish, but just as annoying. The thought of Chloe and Maria meeting and forming a team made Peggy shudder. So much ego in one place, so few brain cells mostly due to Chloe. Peggy stopped thinking of that train wreck and focused on the match.

Peggy ran right at Maria jumping into the air and spinning, her legs kicking up as she tried to hit Maria with a running spinning wheel kick! "This ought to shut that damn huge mouth o' yours huh?!"

Maria was already rolling to her feet as Peggy did, and managed to get up to her feet at the same time. The Irish girl was looking quite angry at this point. Maria wondered if the name calling and taunting was starting to have an effect, or if Peggy was just normally this way.

She didn't have much time to think on it as Peggy came charging at her with a spinning wheel kick. Maria would try to duck, hoping to spin behind Peggy and, almost tauntingly, try to stun her with a backwards-facing elbow to the back of her head. Otheriwse, if she was too slow, Maria would be nailed hard by Peggy's kick and doubled over by the hit.
