Strategy: Spring Tiger attacks quickly and technically, using quick kicks and submission holds to wear down her opponent’s arms and legs before delivering a finishing move or forcing them to submit. Spring Tiger is also deceptively strong and surprises many opponents with her Tiger Suplex finisher, though her small stature limits her to only using this move on opponents who are her size or smaller. If an opponent is larger than her, Spring Tiger will using high flying attacks or slams from the top rope, though she is cautious and won’t recklessly risk injury, saving such daring moves as a definite finisher or as a last resort.

Preferred Attacks: Leg and Arm submissions as well as kick combos.

Favored moves: Spring tiger utilizes a large arsenal of submission moves that target her opponent’s arms or legs such as the Indian Death-lock, Cobra Clutch, Boston Crab, Sasorigatame and others. She also uses Kicks, often in rapid succession to strike her opponents legs, stomach, and head as well as dropkicks for extra power.  

Finishing moves:
Tiger Suplex- standing behind her opponent, Spring Tiger hooks both of her opponent's arms from the sides, and places her hands palm down flat against the opponent's upper back. Spring Tiger then lifts her opponent up and falls backwards, arching her back and legs and then slamming her opponent down to the mat shoulder and neck first. This move can either end in a bridging pin or be released upon execution.

Tiger Suplex:

Tiger’s Jaws- With her opponent lying face down on the mat, Spring tiger secures a double toed leg lock and then spinning around, threads her leg between her opponent’s locked legs and leans back into a bridge, grabbing her opponent’s chin and pulling it upwards. While very painful for her opponent, this move consumes a large amount of Spring Tiger’s stamina to use.

Tiger’s Jaws:

Springing Tiger Splash- A simple splash or Plancha, involving Spring Tiger leaping from the turnbuckle and slamming, stomach first, on either a standing or lying opponent.

Characteristics

Personality: Haruna is an energetic girl with a burning passion for pro-wresting. She is initially friendly to everyone she meets and strives to make friends but can be quick to anger if she feels
that she is being looked down upon by an arrogant opponent.

As Spring Tiger, Haruna is deeply competitive and gives every match her all as to not dishonor the mask which was passed down to her by her father. While Haruna is openly happy the majority of the time she often struggles with the pressure of living up to her father’s greatness as a wrestler.

For most, giving your all in a match is something to be proud of but Haruna wants to be invincible like her father and feels greatly ashamed by losses, believing she has tarnished her father’s legacy. After sulking for a while, Haruna returns to her usual happy self and devotes herself to training even harder in an effort to redeem herself in the next match.        

History: Haruna is the daughter of the legendary wrestler Tiger Mask. Through watching her father, Haruna fell in love with Pro Wrestling and vowed to one day be as great as him. In Middle School, Haruna devoted herself to training, imitating the moves she saw her father and other wrestlers perform and following a strict diet exercise regimen, all unbeknownst to her father.

In her first year of high school, tragedy struck. The invincible Tiger Mask received a serious injury and was forced to retire. Haruna was devastated and refused to let the Tiger Mask legacy, which had been passed down from father to son for many generations, die. She confessed her plan to be the next tiger mask to her father but he forbade her from following in his footsteps out of fear that his only daughter would end up like him.

Haruna sought to prove her ability to her father one way or another and began training in secret even harder than before. When she turned 16 years old she joined an amateur high school girl’s pro wrestling circuit under the name Spring Tiger. Dawning her father’s mask, Haruna won her first match making a name for herself. Word soon of the mysterious Female Tiger Mask soon found its way back to Haruna’s father who was forced to acknowledge her skill and potential as a wrestler.

Tiger Mask admitted defeat for the first time in his life and agreed to train Haruna to be his successor. Haruna had believed her own training to be severe but it was nothing compared to the trials her father prepared for her. Despite the pain and hardship, Haruna refused to quit.

With her new found strength and techniques, Haruna won the championship of her amateur girl’s league and defended the title until her senior year of high school. Her father hoped she would be satisfied with this accomplishment but knew better. He was fully aware that his daughter had the same burning desire for competition that he had and would continue on her journey of self-improvement.

Now 19 years old, Haruna gave up her title and left to join the AFW league in search of even greater challenges and to prove to her father that she was worthy of the Tiger Mask. Great challenges lay ahead, but Haruna Takaoka, the Spring Tiger will meet each one head on with all her strength.
