Gemma Faraday vs. Peggy McIntyre: Cage Match!

Peggy was hanging there and totally unable to get anywhere! As Gemma locked in the hold Peggy let out a shriek as she found herself in terrible pain as the hold was far harder to break out of or reverse than a regular figure-four! "AHHHHHHHHHH!"

Peggy twisted and thrashed about, trying to reach at Gemma, claw at her, punch at her, or pry away her grip to escape! Peggy feverishly worked at her stuck foot, knowing that if that could get undone she could escape as well although the sudden lack of a grip would likely result in some sort of fall!

At least if she fell she might have a shot at taking Gemma with her!

Gemma winced, as Peggy's screams filled the arena. She wrenched on the hold, trying to punish Peggy's powerful legs as much as she could. The fiery Irish woman wasn't taking it lying down, of course, and only partly because she was trapped in the cage. Instead, Peggy was scratching and pounding at Gemma's own legs, eventually forcing her to relent.

"Aggh," Gemma moaned, releasing the tension on Peggy's legs and clutching the cage, "you just don't know when to let up!" Gemma was aching, frustrated, but she had to do something. Peggy was free from her grip, and Gemma couldn't let her take control. Biting her lip, Gemma steeled herself and let loose with a powerful kick to the side of Peggy's body- one that she hoped would unseat the dazed redhead, and send her tumbling back down to the mat alone!

Peggy breathed a sigh of relief as she fought her way out of the hold, and managed to release herself from the cage! However, what she considered to be good fortune quickly turned out to be something else entirely! As she was now free and not attached to anything Gemma landed a hard kick to her side!

"Argh! Wh- no no AHHHHH!" Peggy screamed as the kick hammered into her side and she was moved enough to be off balance, slowly losing at her balance, falling back to the mat as she reached up and tried to grab onto something in vain! The landing was excruiating as he shouts of pain could attest to! However,r even more painful was the fact that Gemma was still atop the cage, free to climb down! As Peggy writhed in pain, breathing heavily she covered her face with her hands. If this was how she was going to blow it, she couldn't bear to see it happen....

Gemma's eyes widened as she watched Peggy teeter, totter, and finally go tumbling off of the cage! On instinct, she almost wanted to reach out and catch her opponent. Still, her better judgement won out. If Peggy didn't take that tumble, she would surely bring Gemma down after her!

As Peggy hit the mat, crying out in pain, Gemma looked over the edge of the cage. This was it, her chance to escape and win the match. She was in the clear. But, before Gemma could swing her boot over the edge toward freedom, she stopped herself again. The animosity between herself and the fiery Irish woman was so great, Gemma knew simply running away wasn't going to be enough. She had put put an end to this, right here and now.

On wobbly legs, but looking determined, Gemma lifted herself to stand on the ledge of the steel cage. Chest swelling as she took a deep breath, Gemma steadied herself. She raised a finger into the air, to signal her next move. Her fans' voices raised in cheers, realizing what the young woman was (perhaps foolishly) about to do, next. And, sure enough, Gemma bent her knees, and flung herself into the air for a final Bomber Run!

Coming down and forward, Gemma went careening hard back into the ring. Spinning end over end, Gemma aimed to come down for a crash landing into Peggy's prone body, right in the center of the ring!

Peggy was laying flat out, totally unaware. Her ears were ringing from her own impact and the sudden graceful yet brute force impact of the flying Gemma caught her off giard, sending shockwaves through her already agonizingly pained body! Before she knew she would need to be checked out. Now being wheeled out on a stretcher was far more likely. Her knee, back and now chest pulsed with pain from any movement. Hell, her chest hurt when she drew breath. She had bruised or cracked ribs for sure, maybe even broken ribs.

Peggy let out one last, loud yell before slumping back to the mat. No writhing, no screaming, bo movement. Peggy was limp on her back, her chest rising slowly as she struggled to draw her labored breath.

Gemma came crashing back down to earth at breakneck speed. In the rush, she couldn't even see where she was heading. The Bombshell could only hold onto faith that she'd judged the jump height, leaping a distance she'd never dared jump in her entire career, up to this point. Gemma was throwing everything she had, into trying to bring this feud to its inevitable end!

Finally, Gemma hit! She came crashing down onto Peggy's soft body, the force enough to leave both women aching! Gemma came off of the yelling Peggy with both arms wrapped tightly around her aching chest! Gemma grimaced in pain, but looking down she could see that Peggy had gotten the worse of it, by far. The move had not only connected, but seemed to pay off dividends!

Collapsing onto Peggy as quickly as she could, Gemma went for the pin. Gritting her teeth, the simple act of pressing down into Peggy for the pin was enough to leave Gemma wincing and whimpering, but she persevered.

"ONE!" the ref called out, slapping the mat.

Peggy continued to may bloody and seemingly lifeless as she was covered for the pin! She wanted to move her aching body, but she physically would not and could not go along with what her will wanted!

"TWO!"

Peggy was at the bottom again, the pretty popular, thin woman on top. It felt like wrestling was like everything else before, pretty popular princess getting the best of pudgy Peggy. The barely conscious woman could not move and with the last ounce of energy the nearly blacked out Peggy was practically in tears although it was hard to see in her red, wet face. "D-damn you....." She weakly whispered as the final count came.

"THREE!"

Gemma could only lay still and lifeless on top of Peggy, pinning her down against the mat with the last bit of life left in her body. Gemma's head raised weakly, looking at the ref. Gemma's wide, wet eyes were pleading with her, praying that the ref would complete the three-count and finally bring this bloody, violent mess to a merciful end. She could hear Peggy's angry retort from beneath her, during the count. The Brit didn't even have the energy left to reply. She just wanted this to be over.

And finally, like a miracle, it actually happened. The ring bell sounded, and Gemma was announced the victor! The voices of the fans reached the rafters, at the climax of an intense and brutal rivalry. Gemma tried to get up, as the ref raised her hand in victory. The punk girl didn't have it in her. The second the ref released her hand, Gemma fell back down onto Peggy. Nuzzling her head into Peggy's ample chest, Gemma breathed hard, and tried to fight back the pain.

"Oh, God," Gemma gasped, right into Peggy's chest, "God, that hurts ...! N-never ... never fought like that!" Gemma laughed, lightly, between gasps for air. "Th-thanks ... for being such a mean bitch ...and really ... making me fight!" As the fans cheered, Gemma would remain there. She fought the urge to pass out, but this fight had taken everything out of her. It was an amazing victory for a girl who had precious few. And she honestly felt like she owed Peggy, for that much.

Peggy was barely awake enough to hear Gemmas words. "You are just the same as all of them. Popular girls too good to include pudgy Peggy in their fun. Then I tried to lose weight so you jerks would accept me but no way." Peggy said quietly as she fought back tears. Her memories of growing up and being marginalized by the beautiful people all came flooding back.

"I had wrestling, 50 pounds lighter n' before. But ya came and took that from me too.... gotta be better than me here too. Ya got to show the world you are better than me. Fuckin' let me get carted out in peace...." Peggy said knowing full well it was going to be a long time before she set foot in a ring again. Injuries, and embarassment were going to take their toll for sure. She let herself down for blowing it, and let down her friends who went out of their way to prepare her.

Gemma was still face down in Peggy's body, as the fiery redhead unloaded on her with her hurting rant. The Brit lifted her head slowly, a look of confusion and pain on her face. Her entire body aching, Gemma couldn't manage a rebuttal. Partially because she had given everything she had to defeating Peggy- but also because she was simply gobsmacked by the Irish woman's words!

"I-I ..." Gemma stammered, in her confusion. Talking hurt her ribs, however. Everything hurt her ribs, it seemed. Still, Gemma managed to roll herself off of her opponent, as the AFW staff was coming down to assist them out of the ring. Gemma rolled onto her back, watching the cage lift off the ring to make way for AFW medical staff. Chest heaving as she gasped for air, Gemma stared up at the arena lights. As much as this feud had meant to her, Gemma was now realizing how much it had meant to Peggy, as well. Gemma wanted to prove herself, that she could hang with someone as tough as Peggy and not end up getting dominated yet again. But what had Peggy been trying to prove. As her theme continued to play over the loudspeakers, Gemma let her eyes flutter shut. Gemma was the victor, finally. Her fans were cheering her efforts, instead of mourning her humiliation. But what had she done, to get to there?
