Gemma Faraday vs. Peggy McIntyre: Steel Cage Match

This was it, Peggy was ready for this day. She beat Gemma once, and then let Gemma sneak in a victory over her in a hardcore match. Peggy was in her usual wrestling attire tonight: A green one piece swimsuit, gold kneepads, gold elbow pads, and boots that were a mixture of the two colors. Tonight Peggy was going to shut Gemma up for good, and silence any critics she had about her inability to finish off tough opponents in close matches!

Her music played as she came down the ramp, in a dead serious walk down the middle of the ramp and straight up the ring steps through the cage door. "Making her way to the ring.... standing 5'6'' and weighing in at 149 pounds.... from Dublin, Ireland.... Peggy Mcintyre!" The announcer called. Peggy received a healthy mix of cheers and boos, no surprise there. She did whatever it took to win and that either rubbed people right, or terribly wrong. Right now she didn't give a damn what anyone else thought.

She only cared about winning this match.

As Peggy stood in the ring pacing she called out, screaming above the noise of the crowd. "Gemma! GEMMA! Get yer little punk bitch ass out here right now! Lets finish this you twiggy little brat!"

Gemma took deep breaths, trying to steady her racing heartbeat as she waited her cue. Tonight was huge, for the Brit. Final confrontation, Gemma and her rival Peggy MacIntyre bringing their animosity to a head in a steel cage. Nowhere in her career had Gemma Faraday ever found herself locked in a steel cage, let alone in one with an opponent as brutal and rough with her as Peggy.

Still, there was no backing down now. Peggy had beaten Gemma down, left her looking weak and pathetic on the floor more times than the Brit could count. Their last match had ended with Gemma's victory. Other than that, however, Peggy had thoroughly kicked the Brit's perky ass up and down the halls of AFW. Backing out now would prove Gemma to be everything Peggy accused her of: weak, scrawny, unworthy of being in that ring. No matter what else happened, tonight, Gemma was willing to go as far as it took, to prove the Irish woman wrong. Even if it was the last thing she would ever do.

Gemma wouldn't have long to wait, however. She listened to the crowd react to Peggy, the mix of cheers and boos for the thick Irish lass. More importantly, however, Gemma heard Peggy calling her out. Ears burning, Gemma shouldered her way past the production crew, and onto the ramp. There, the fans cheered the pretty young Brit as she raised a defiant fist into the air. A display of her courage, that Gemma hoped would help mask how worried she felt.

Her music started a touch late, but Gemma stormed down to the ring. The punky young Brit decided to forego her usual high-fives and winks to the audience. Her gaze was fixed on Peggy, in the ring. And on the heavy, all-too-enormous structure that would engulf both women, in the match.

"And her opponent," the announcer called, seemingly playing catch-up, "from Blackpool, England, standing at 5'5", and weighing in at 129 pounds ... Gemma Faraday!" Gemma slid right into the ring, and pushed herself back up to her boots. Without a word, the Brit walked up to Peggy. Pushing into the Irish woman, grinding her chest into Peggy's and glaring directly into her eyes, Gemma wanted it to be clear on no uncertain terms. She was ready for this fight.

Peggy stared straight at Gemma with contempt as she walked down to the ring. Gemma walked right up to Peggy bumping into her, and Peggy moved forward herself as to not give ground! "From the time I met ya, the first thing yer scrawny punk ass did was talk down ta me, callin' me fat. I put ya on yer ass n' showed ya how a real woman wrestled and unlike last time ya won't get lucky inside this cage. No fuckin' way." Peggy said in a growl, low enough for only Gemma to hear. "You are the same as the little prissy prom princesses who did the same. Now they are workin' some dead end job or in school while chubby Peggy signed a Friction contract and is gonna be on top of the wrestling world." Peggy said with a grin. The first step towards the top was defeating Gemma tonight.

As the bell rang, Peggy grabbed onto Gemma to engage her in a grapple and shoved her back into a corner as hard as she could! The louder the impact of Gemma's back slamming into the corner the better....

"I don't need to get lucky," Gemma said, letting the words come out in a low growl. "I know exactly what to expect from you, and I'm not letting you cheat me out of another win, tonight. And when I've got you pinned to the mat, we'll see who the 'real woman' is!" Gemma's brow furrowed, however, at the rest of Peggy's threats. The Brit chewed her lower lip, nervously. It burned at her, Peggy calling her a "prissy prom princess," but what she was saying was obviously coming from a place of deep resentment. The sheer anger behind Peggy's words was enough to intimidate Gemma. If she brought that anger into her wrestling, the steampunk girl was in for a hell of a night.

The opening bell sounded, and Peggy was on Gemma like a flash! The Brit tried to push back, but was taken completely off-guard by Peggy's stiff offense! "N-no!" Gemma squealed, as she got thrown back by Peggy's strong arms. Her back hit the corner hard, the turnbuckle shuddering. "Aaarrh!" Gemma groaned in agony. She arched her spine, upper body thrust forward as she tried to work out the pain in her back. Gemma gripped the top ropes tightly. The match was well underway, and to her absolute misery, Gemma was already suffering at Peggy's hands!

Peggy drove Gemma back and had a belly of fire tonight! She wasn't about to let that Brit extinguish that flame either! As Peggy backed her in the corner she stepped back and rammed her shoulder forward into Gemma's sternum! "How'd ya like that one!?" She shouted as she stepped back and thrust forwards a second time! "I'm gonna snap ya in half ya damn punk!"

Peggy stepped back away from the corner, beckoning Gemma to come at her. "Show me what you're made of ya little prissy twig!" She knew those taunts would get under Gemma's skin. If she rushed in Peggy didn't doubt that Gemma would land a few solid, hard hits. Peggy was in a cage with someone she hated. She was more interested in a knock down, drag out brawl than a wrestling match at this point!

"Hhhgnnnn!" Gemma grunted, as Peggy's shoulder drove right into her slender torso. The Brit was rocked against the turnbuckle, as the air was driven from her lungs. "God!" Gemma gasped, letting out a sob as Peggy reeled back, and drove into her mercilessly yet again! The match was off to a rough start, Peggy clearly fired up and ready for a fight.

Gemma shook her head, once the fiery redhead finally backed off. Gemma nursed her aching ribs with an arm, while she shook her head. She'd let the Irish woman back her into a corner, and now Peggy was owning her. Gemma shook out the last of the cobwebs, and grit her teeth. Gemma's chest swelled, as she pulled in a deep breath, which feuled the Brit as she threw herself forward. Lunging at Peggy with a hard and fast dive, Gemma swung her arm forward. Arm swinging out, Gemma drove straight toward Peggy's face, ready to lay into her hard with a flying forearm strike that, she hoped, would show that she wasn't just going to lie down!

Peggy wasn't expecting the explosive speed and lunging attack from Gemma, and she paid for it dearly! Instead of a slugfest she took a hard forearm smash that dropped her down to the mat! Peggy coughed as she rubbed her face, kicking the mat in pain! "Argh... ya bitch!" She hissed at Gemma as she tried to recover, slowly making her way up to her feet!

Gemma was gonna pay, of that Peggy was sure. However, Gemma was proving to be far grittier a foe than Peggy would have guessed..

Gemma took a moment to recover, and relish in the sight of Peggy going down to the mat. "How'd you like that, slagamuffin? Not so tough when I can fight back, are you?" Gemma squared her feet, and gave the Irish woman a wicked grin. Seeing Peggy get back to her feet slowly, Gemma saw an opening. Her spine still smarting from the earlier assault, Gemma was going to have to push through the pain, if she wasn't going to let this opportunity pass her by!

Squaring her feet, Gemma took a step toward Peggy. She then unloaded on the Irish woman, launching a hard kick square for the ample bosom of her opponent. "Hah!" Gemma cried out, as she swung her thick leather boot square for Peggy. If it connected, Gemma would reset and swing for another one, trying to knock the wind out of her redheaded opponent's sails.

Peggy groaned and dropped down to one knee after Gemma's kick connected, and the second one brought about a loud scream as Peggy landed on the mat back-first with a thud! "AHHHHHH!" She shouted, rolling to her side and gasping for air. The wind was knocked out of Peggy as she writhed on the mat in pain, kicking feverishly as she rolled onto her back!

Gemma's shoulders heaved, as she took a deep breath and watched Peggy writhe on the mat. "Who's a pretty little princess now, eh, ducky?" she asked, taunting. "Not so easy to tear me down when you're not standing over a sucker-punched girl now, is it?"

But, it wasn't enough for Gemma to stand there talking shit. Even if it did feel good, Gemma spreading her legs wide and arching her back with a rude "two-finger salute" over Peggy, to taunt her. Stepping off, Gemma took a quick jog toward the steel cage itself. Hopping up, Gemma planted a boot on the links of the cage, using it as a stepping stone to launch and throw herself backward. The Brit was showing off, now, launching herself at her downed opponent with a springboard leg drop, aiming to drop one of her toned legs right across Peggy's face!
