SS 16 hardcore Title Match: Adrian Kytes (C) Vs. Alicia Wells in the Sea Lion's Den

Adrian didn’t scream but she didn’t have to. It was clear that the Achilles Tendon Hold Alicia had her in was agonisingly painful. Equally, agonising or not, it was rapidly becoming clear that it wasn’t going to win her the match either – she’d forgotten the boots. Well, she hadn’t forgotten them but Alicia had overlooked the effect they’d have on this hold. Adrian’s boots were protecting her tendon from the pressure the kickboxer’s forearm was applying; not entirely but it had to be helping. And the rigidness of the footwear was stopping her from really hyperextending it.

It was turning what ought to be a match-ending hold (and had been in a MMA environment) into merely a potentially crippling one.

To add injury to insult, Alicia was taking a barrage of kicks from the champion’s other leg. The angle here favoured her so Adrian couldn’t get a ton of power or really hit anything too vital but the repeated hits still hurt and the damage would mount up. The redhead’s lips curled in frustration but she held the lock, seeking to do as much to that leg as she could. The harder it was for Adrian to walk, the happier she’d be.

But, all too soon for her own liking, she’d had enough of the kicks. Releasing the lock, the British amazon sat up and went to scoot forward, trying to shift to mount Adrian where she could start raining strikes down at the champion’s head and torso.

Adrian breathed a sigh of relief after Alicia finally got the hint and stopped twisting Adrian's foot off, it still hurt but she didn't feel anything come snapping apart or ripping off so it would just be a while of being cautious about putting any weight on it when she got back up one her feet. If she got back on her feet.

The British Amazon had no intentions of letting Adrian squirm away and rest up, preferring instead to climb up over the former cosplayer's now pain-ridden leg and start raining down blows on the prone champion. A few shots blasted her in the chest, driving the air out of the brunette's lungs as she tried to keep some semblance of a guard up, even if one punch was enough to rock her own arms back into her face "...go back to the hold..." she groaned underneath the pressure.

Adrian held still surprisingly conveniently for Alicia to slide up into mount, where she started throwing punches down with a mixed lot of effects. Several landed in the ribs/chest area, further winding her opponent, but the champion was fast enough to get her arms up to block the ones aimed at her face.

Given enough time and brute force, she was certain she could batter her way through Adrian’s guard. There wasn’t anything wrong with it, but her strength and positional advantage meant that one square hit had basically cannoned the blocking arms back into the champion’s face. If she could keep that up, it shouldn’t take that long to start landing hits on the chin beyond. But that wasn’t all that efficient.

Instead, she kept throwing punches, looking for a chance to grab a wrist or an arm. If she could, Alicia’s next move would be to scoot up into high mount so she could start looking for an armbar or – even better – a triangle choke. She’d thoroughly battered a leg so, if she could repeat that on an arm she’d be well ahead of the game. And, even with the work Adrian had done on her leg, Alicia’s lower body was more than strong enough to choke the champion out.

If not, then she’d just keep on pounding away with punches to the chest and face, waiting for her opportunity.

Struggling underneath the amazon as she shuffled forward to get a better position to rain down the punishment, Adrian soon found herself with her elbows inadvertently resting up against the bigger woman's thighs as the hardcore champion's situation seemed to go from bad to worse, but still, her guard was held up, taking the brunt of the blows to deny Alicia the satisfaction of seeing Adrian's face get mangled by her ground and pound strategy.

With the size difference and a sore leg preventing her from bridging up, there wasn't a lot of room to maneuver until Alicia tired of just creating bruises and moved down to pull at the former cosplayer's arm, no doubt with some bad intentions before Adrian took the opportunity to roll to one side, arm somewhat trapped but now without the weight sitting down one her chest as she maneuvered her free arm behind the redhead's sizeable legs, pressing down on the back of the knee as she rolled Alicia onto her shoulders, stopping her foe from getting the pressure she needed to firmly lock in the hold. She wasn't about to be powering out from Alicia's grip any time soon but folding the Brit over,getting it so that her long legs were almost touching the canvas would do a lot from how bad of a situation she was in.

She’d been a little hasty there, Alicia discovered. She got the arm, her hands clamped on Adrian’s wrist like a vice, and was moving up to the high position she needed for either armbar or triangle. And then the champion picked her moment perfectly and the redhead found herself rolled onto her side and then her back, stacked up on her shoulders. The arm was still trapped and she wasn’t letting go just yet, but one of her legs had Adrian’s free arm behind the knee and they were both curled up until they nearly touched the mat.

Yeah, she should have tenderized Adrian a bit more before she got cocky.

There weren’t any pins in this match, so she wasn’t in any danger of losing that way, and it wasn’t painful but it was uncomfortable and not a little humiliating. On the other hand, she’d still got Adrian’s arm. Getting an armbar sunk in would be nigh impossible but she’d still got options. Alicia’s violet eyes glared up into Adrian’s for a long moment. Then the redhead went to curl her pinned leg to the side, looking to simultaneously get the arm out from behind her knee and get the calf behind Adrian’s head.

Ideal position or not, she wasn’t about to give up the arm she’d got trapped without at least trying for a triangle choke. And, in her mind at least, she could absolutely pull it off.

Under normal match rules, Adrian might have had the match won here and now, rolling up the big Brit like this with her shoulders on the mat, could have given her a surprise 3 count depending on how off guard Alicia was caught by the former cosplayer's technique. But it wasn't a normal match and all this was doing was inconveniencing the British Amazon by keeping her held like this. It beat getting beaten down and was buying her time to get some feeling back in her leg, but Alicia was not going to take being folded up like an accordion lying down.

The last thing Adrian wanted was to get Alicia's legs around her neck, good position to block a perfect Triangle Choke or not, Alicia had enough brute strength to simply crush the brunette's neck regardless, forcing Adrian to willingly jump into what everyone who faced off against the redhead dreaded. As Alicia's legs opened, she pushed herself forward so that when the vice snapped shut, it went onto the brunette's sides instead of her neck and head, trapped in Alicia's body scissors.

Given Adrian clearly was familiar with Alicia’s fighting style and her match history since joining AFW, the last thing Alicia would have expected going in was her putting herself right into danger. But, as she widened her stance to secure the triangle choke, she found her opponent moving up so that – instead of her neck – Alicia’s deadliest weapons were wrapped around her body.

Well, if that was how she wanted to lose, Alicia had no problems with that at all.

With the champion’s body cradled between her smooth thighs, in one practiced motion the redhead extended her legs up, interlocked her ankles and put ferocious pressure on Adrian’s ribs. Even with the damage she’d taken to one knee, her scissors was still more than powerful enough to break her opponent’s will to resist.

Like Valley had said, there weren’t any ropes to save Adrian once she’d got her wrapped up. And, with one arm fully under control, one of her own legs battered all to bits and Alicia’s weight edge, she wouldn’t be pulling the same escape as Cecilia had.

Which made the redhead more than a little suspicious about this but, well, once she cracked a rib or two, it really wouldn’t matter. She squeezed tighter and tighter and tighter, her quads and hamstrings swelling into definition as she went all out for the submission.

If Adrian hadn’t been familiar with the line ‘out of the frying pan into the fire’, she definitely would be now.

Adrian knew what she was getting into when she pushed herself into the infamous bodyscissors of Alicia Wells, still didn't stop it hurting all the same. Her body buckling under the pressure forcing a loud cry of pain before the brunette grit her teeth to shut herself up, still it was enough for the referee to start asking annoying questions about giving up. "'M fine..." Adrian managed to growl out through her pained expression, the champion was clearly not fine with how things were, but she didn't need to be. What she needed was to get into the correct position.

With Alicia's grip still on her arm and her leg not being 100% she knew she wasn't going to be turning Alicia over into a Boston Crab any time soon, added to that Alicia had enough power that the champ couldn't just break free even if she started elbowing her in the knee, that didn't mean she was out of options though as she propped herself up to her feet and began to shuffle to the side, making sure that her back was closest to the cage before she wrapped her free arm around one of Alicia's thighs and pulled back.

It was crazy as all hell but if anyone asked Adrian this was just as planned, falling back to pull Alicia up and launch her forward, head first into one of the solid steel bars that held the cage together, making sure she couldn't brace it by keeping her arms occupied with the first one the red-head had grabbed. No ropes? No problem.

After her experiences with Army and Cecilia, Alicia had been looking for the champion to try a Boston Crab so that likely wouldn’t have got her too far. But that didn’t seem to be what Adrian had in mind. Instead, the redhead was left watching suspiciously, doing her best to cause severe damage to her opponent as the other wrestler shuffled around.

If she’d been confident of keeping the arm under control, she’d have gone for the ankles to keep Adrian down. As it was, she didn’t immediately see what the champion was going for. While Alicia was smart, she wasn’t used to the idea of using the cage as an actual weapon instead of a terrain feature. And, by the time, she did realise, it was too late to do anything about it.

All she could do was close her eyes and make sure she wasn’t about to bite her tongue.

The steel bar to the head left Alicia reeling, a trickle of blood oozing from where the bar had struck her forehead, but not yet out of it by any stretch of the imagination. Acting on instinct, her left arm let go of its grip on Adrian’s and she did her best to grab a hold of the bars to stop the champion doing that again. And, if the impact had loosened her scissors considerably, it’d be a matter of moments before they tightened again. The redhead knew she could have Adrian right here, and she didn’t mean to let go if she didn’t have to.

A small relief as Alicia's thighs slackened on impact, just enough for Adrian to slip between the redhead's legs before the crocodile jaw snapped shut again, this time without any flesh to chew on. Hissing in pain, Adrian grabbed hold of Alicia by the waistband and pulled herself up behind the amazon, stumbling slightly as she reached up to hook the Amazon's arms in a full nelson, trying to pull her arms away from the cage.

With a battered leg and a tenderized torso, her breathing haggard she put one foot in front of the redhead's legs before pulling her foot back and letting herself fall forward, trying to smash Alicia's face back into the cage even if it met falling into the cage herself.
