Special Conditions: The match takes place inside of a small multisided cage with a walkway above it. No Holds Barred. No Disqualifications. The winner will be declared the Hardcore Champion.


In the Sea Lion's Den, there is very little room to move. Fight or Flight kicks in and with no where to run, there is only one choice. Who will be the predator and who will be the prey?

Adrian Kytes was smiling a whole lot more than someone in her situation should be smiling. Here she was, not even one month off a hellacious falls count anywhere with Cecilia Northman, back in the USA (technically) defending her belt once again against someone she was no doubt giving away a strength advantage too. A woman who in her short time had already put up an impressive record and a history of having her opponents needing to be carried away after she was done with them. But still, as she walked down to the twelve-sided cage, dressed in her yellow and blue singlet with accompanying pads, Hardcore title around her waist and what looked like a gym bag slung over her shoulder you couldn't remove her grin if you tried.

"WOOOO!" She called out as she jogged in through the open door, pulling off the Hardcore Championship belt as she ran up the side to wave to her fans, handing it over to the awaiting official before she pulled herself up onto the cage balcony like she was pulling herself out of a swimming pool.

It wouldn't have been much of a Hardcore title match if there wasn't at least one set of weapons around, and Adrian had bought the party herself as she opened her bag, scattering various kendo sticks, small canes and even a pair of nunchucks across the balcony of the cage before she jumped back down, getting a feel for how this was going to work out. The cage mesh had a little give to it, enough to make it slightly easier to run and climb up it, but the small canvas was pretty damn solid, more like a boxing ring than a wrestling one. Still, there was enough space around, Adrian was confident she could make this work as she waited on Alicia's arrival.

And, with that, it was time for the challenger to make her entrance.

Dressed in her usual black sports bra and compression shorts, tugging at her fingerless gloves to ensure they were snuggly in place, Alicia strode down the ramp with her gaze focused laser-like upon the woman already standing within the Lion’s Den.

Adrian Kytes. She’d done her research now and this… This was going to be interesting. Given it was another anything goes match, a lot of the tricks she’d seen the other wrestler use to her advantage weren’t even against the rules. She’d still need to be on guard – she really didn’t want to get that stuff sprayed in her face.

Stepping into the cage, the big redhead’s eyes played over Adrian herself, then the mesh prison surrounding the two of them before rising to inspect the balcony above, now littered with whatever toys Adrian had brought down with her. Nothing as insane as some of the stuff Liberty and Abattoir had brought to their match, but that didn’t mean Alicia could be careless about it. Ideally, she’d need to keep Adrian away from the weaponry as that was undoubtedly more her style than the kickboxer’s.

On the other hand, the cage itself still felt like home and the smaller area could work for either of them. With Alicia having the edge in height and weight and probably punching power, there really wasn’t anywhere for the champ to run – except up of course. But, equally, keeping the champion at arms-length was a hell of a lot harder with this little space to work with and, while the cage was familiar, the ring was still smaller than anything she’d worked in before.

The mat was firmer too, less of the bounce she’d been getting used to in the wrestling ones and more like the ones she’d been familiar with. This was going to turn her all nostalgic.

Behind her, the door into the Den was closed and locked. The British amazon rolled her shoulders back, took a deep breath and then stepped forward to offer her opponent a hand, a thin smile working its way across her lips in precursor to her vicious battle smirk.

And there she was, all near-six feet of her stepping into the cage with a smirk that wouldn't look out of place on a shark and her hand outstretched like she wanted this to be civil and respectful of all things. First, they were stuck in a cage with weapons all around, civility had taken the first flight back to Tokyo already and second of all: Adrian had tried to make it fairly clear to Alicia that whatever respect Adrian had for her abilities, they were drowned out from the disrespect caused by the Brit's previous actions. No way was she taking that bait, preferring to wait for the bell to ring before she got close up and personal with Alicia.

The moment it did however, Adrian was on the move: arms up as she tried to get in close to lock up with Alicia, trying to nullify the bigger woman's range advantage.

The red-haired fighter kept her hand up for a moment until it became clear that Adrian had no intention of accepting the proffered handshake, then shrugged and dropped it, backing up to wait for the bell. If that was how she wanted to play things, it was no skin off Alicia’s nose. She just liked to keep things civil – there wasn’t anything wrong with that, so far as she could see. Alicia hadn’t ever blindsided someone before the bell rang and she hadn’t intended to start today.

But alright, fine. If that was what it would be like…

Dropping into her kickboxing stance, Alicia settled her mind and waited for the match to start. Which didn’t take long and the champion didn’t even wait for the chimes to die away before she was coming right at her.

As she’d thought, Adrian wanted to get up close and personal and that was fine with Alicia; she had plenty of options at close range too. But that was no reason not to make her work for it.

Keeping her stance up, she waited, letting her opponent close the distance. When Adrian hit the outside of her range, Alicia gave her a count of one then twisted at the hips, snapping one leg up and out in a side kick. She was taking a bit of a risk, aiming it at where she thought Adrian would be, but she went to deliver the blow and pull her limb back to reset her stance as fast as possible.

Here it comes, here it comes, here it comes... Adrian mumbled in her head as she closed the already small gap, expecting the inevitable shotgun blast of a kick to come sailing in and there it was, right into the Hardcore champion's ribs, under her guard, with enough force behind it to knock the brunette off her initial path and to the side somewhat... just as planned.

While Alicia would have liked to have pulled back and just let Adrian stagger away with a big welt underneath her singlet, Adrian hadn't just been blocking high to avoid her head being knocked off, her guard sank down to trap the big Brit's shin against her side, twisting her whole body underneath it to pull her down to the canvas with a quick Dragon Screw, trying to bring the fight down to the ground immediately and take away the advantage Alicia had with her kicks.

The kick landed exactly as planned, slamming into the champ’s ribs hard enough to knock her off course. But, before she could pull her leg back, the big redhead found her limb caught against Adrian’s ribcage. In a contest of strength, it was pretty clear the brunette wouldn’t ever be able to keep that hold, but she didn’t try. Instead, she twisted around Alicia’s leg, going to throw her to the mat.

Not aware of any counter at this point, the kickboxer had little option other than to go with it.

As Adrian dropped and spun, Alicia did her best to do the same, tucking and rolling with the torque to mitigate any damage to her leg as best she could. It’d still land the redhead on her back but the sharp jolt that it sent through her spine wasn’t exactly that debilitating. If Adrian had held onto the leg, Alicia would immediately posture up and start driving hard forearm shots into any part of the brunette she could reach. Preferably her face, but she was chiefly interested in making sure that the smaller wrestler didn’t keep a hold of her leg a second longer than necessary.

In a fight like this, where rope breaks weren’t a thing (so far as she knew), the last thing she wanted or needed was to allow the other woman to get any sort of hold on her leg.

If Adrian had released her, then Alicia would roll up onto one knee as she began to climb back to her feet as fast as possible.

That had been a neat trick. It wasn’t going to work again though.

Adrian twisted down, landing firmly on her knees and already she felt the difference between the canvas here and that of a regular wrestling ring, with the sting going through her legs and up the side that just took a blasting from the big Brit giving the Hardcore Champion enough pause to let Alicia posture back up and start throwing forearms into her head just to get the brunette off.

They didn't hurt nearly as much as that side kick had, but they still did damage, and was still enough to knock Adrian away from what she had initially planned to do with the amazon's leg and give her a nice mark across her forehead for good measure, blending in with the 100+ times she'd been punched in the face. However that little exchange did give the American a little something to work with, she'd managed to catch Alicia off guard, and while the red head had smashed Adrian away from her leg, it didn't stop her zooming back into the fray while her opponent rolled up to one knee.

Seizing the moment where she did have a height advantage over Alicia, Adrian went in from the side as the kickboxer rose up, snapping her head in a tight cravat headlock before pulling down, trying to flip her straight back down to the mat with a snapmare.

When in doubt, punching people in the face usually helped. Alicia’s forearms weren’t as dangerous as her legs by any measure, but unloading them into people’s faces hard and fast did the job here just as it had before. It got Adrian to let go of Alicia’s leg, which she promptly pulled back to safety, and it drove the brunette back enough to get her some room to start rising back to her feet.

The redhead had no problems at all tussling with the champion on the mat, but she wanted both of them on the mat – not her flat on her back and Adrian standing.

Not that the position she was in right now was much better – she needed to get back on her feet, or Adrian would run rings around her.

And, naturally, Adrian didn’t want to allow that so she came right back in with another attack. Alicia had lost sight of her for a moment in the fun and games, so the first she knew about it was when she caught a glimpse of her opponent coming in from the side.

Feeling the brunette’s arm loop around her neck, Alicia reacted as fast as she could. Bringing her arms up, she went to plant her hands squarely on the champion’s back before shoving as hard as she could. At the same time, she went to pull her head back, looking to free herself from the headlock before Adrian could capitalise and possibly shove the other woman to the mat into the bargain.

Frustration grew as Adrian felt two big hands press onto her back as she tried to lock her arms over and under Alicia's neck, the big Brit having enough force to shove the former cosplayer staggering away while the red head popped free of the cravat. Now she was the one in a position she didn't want to be, with her back turned to Alicia and in easy range of decapitation via boot to the head.

Momentum was pushing her forward, so that's the way she continued, hoping to put a little space between her and the kickboxer before she hit the cage, jumping up to push off the slanted surface for a quick turnaround back at the red-head, this time the champ went low: very low, dropping down to slide in between Alicia's legs to get behind her once again, before she planted her hands down to turn herself back over, push herself up to a crouch before diving forward to take Alicia down with a chop block to the back of her knees, dangerous territory but she needed to get those kicks and squeezes out of the equation.
