Chris Morgan vs. Valley Doll II - Phenominal

Oh, thank God, that worked.

Granted, Valley had wanted her spinning heel kick to work, but she’d realized that Chris Morgan was kind of a freak, and there was a good chance it might be swatted aside. So she was overjoyed when it not only hit, but it brought Chris down flat on her back.

Of course, fatigue was a serious problem for Valley, too, which meant that landing after her kick had its own problem. Her feet touched the ground for all of a half-second before she fell on her back. Desperate, Valley rolled over, placed her head between Chris’ legs, grabbed them and lifted up as she pushed forward, trying to pin her shoulders to the mat and fold her in half. ”Count, count, count-”

The referee was already moving into position, slapping her hand against the mat. ”1…!”

Chris dimly heard and felt a thump near her head as she laid on the mat. She let out a dazed groan, becoming aware of the position her legs were in, raised up off the mat, making most of her lower body fold up to pin the Angel's shoulders to the mat. Confusion set in as her addled brain tried to make sense of her situation.

Then there was a second thump, and a voice yelling "Two!"

That set off a reaction in Chris that was more instinctive then it was planned. She kicked with her legs, burning away at the precious little energy she had left, managing just enough force to get her shoulder up off the canvas with the ref's hand inches from the mat!

The crowd roared in shock as the ref held up two fingers, indicating a two count, near fall!

Chris though, didn't move afterwards. She was still stunned from the near knockout blow, and the state of exhaustion she was in made her feel as if her body was made of lead, too heavy to move. Her chest continued to rise and fall, the only sign of life from the stricken woman....

”Count it, count it, count-”

Valley yelped as Chris pushed. Even in her weakened state, she still had enough power to throw the smaller blonde away with her escape, making her tumble a couple of feet away with a frustrated sigh in her voice. She showed that frustration by slamming her fist into the mat when she looked back. What was it going to take to clinch this?

That was a rhetorical question. It would take the same thing Valley always used to finish her matches: a finishing move. Chris was in just about the right spot, too…

With that in mind, Valley forced herself back up against her body’s protests and made her way to the turnbuckle. She grabbed one rope, then the other, and began to climb her way up…

Chris had gradually come back to her senses. Grimly she realized  that she had must have kicked out, despite the fact that she didn't remember doing it.

A sense of foreboding lanced into her scattered thoughts. Valley had improved by leaps and bounds since their last match, having had an answer for almost everything Chris had thrown at her. Even when she didn't, the Slamazon had manged to soldier through it. Maybe....this was her night. Maybe she was the better wrestler and Chris was about to lose to....

*No! I can get up and finish this. I can"t lose here...not yet!  Just a little bit longer, I need to hold on a little bit longer! Up, get up!* she thought, rallying back against the unease and raging against the fatigue and pain weighing her body down.

Chris focused her will.....and then sat up as Valley began to ascend the ropes. The crowd screamed out, both in shock and in warning to the vulnerable Slamazon. Seeing her friend up on the turnbuckles, Chris resolved to bring this match to a close, and soon, as she got back to her feet. Staggering, the blonde went to the corner with Valley, swinging a clubbing forearm into her opponent's back to hamper her efforts just as she would have reached the top turnbuckle!

Panting, Chris turned around, facing away from Valley as she put her face between the other Californian's legs. Then after a moment spent gathering the fading remnants of her strength, she drew herself to her full height, Valley on her shoulders as she prepared to powerbomb her from the top turnbuckle!

Just a little higher.

Just a little higher…

It wasn’t easy getting that high up on the turnbuckle. Valley had done it more times than anyone would care to count, but even she was having some difficulty with it now. She almost slipped on the second rope, but managed to grab hold at the last second and spare herself an incredibly embarrassing moment.

Just like clockwork. Just like she’d done a million times. Both feet on the top rope, rise up, slow and steady, let the crowd soak it all in, and…

She’d been so focused on the simple act of getting up there that she hadn’t taken much notice of what Chris was doing. She should’ve. She might’ve seen the giantess rising up and turning things around, getting her head between the legs and going for a match-ending powerbomb. The crowd began to swell, anticipating the explosive finish.

They’d get it, too. Just not like this.

As Chris started to bring her down, Valley, jerked back and put her reserves into a hurricanrana, trying to send her titantic foe flying with the hail-mary maneuver.

When Chris hoisted Valley up, she began to feel a sense of relief. Finally, this match was approaching an end, one that would see the Wrestle Angel struggle her way through this battle to another victory. Another win that would serve as a warning to those like Hibiki Izayoi that an unbeatable guardian awaited those who would try and harm those from Chris's former league.

However, those thoughts suddenly were dashed when Valley arched her back and bent backwards into a hurricarana, sending Chris head over heels to the mat in a hard tumble. Her head struck the canvas, dazing her. Chris started to sit up, a glazed look in her eyes, but then collapsed back down to canvas, looking up at the lights near the center of the ring.....

Valley breathed a sigh of relief as she executed the hurricanrana and sent Chris Morgan - 6”1’, 180 pounds of solid woman - flying. At least, she would’ve breathed a sigh of relief, if she were capable of fully breathing, but she really wasn’t at the moment.

So instead, Valley gasped a sigh of as she looked over her shoulder and saw Chris laying there, ready for the taking. This was it. If she didn’t pull this off now, it just was not going to happen.

Valley once more made the arduous trek up the turnbuckle, crawling her way up to the top and taking up a perch as she looked out to the audience. She stood up, slow and steady, sucking in quick breaths as she rose, until she reached full height...and then she ducked down, leaped backwards, and comitted her everything to the hardest move in her arsenal.

Valley backflipped once, enough for a regular moonsault, but that wasn’t what she was going for. She added another rotation into the mix, a complete circle, gaining even more momentum and bring it all down on Chris’ chest with the Full Moonsault.

Then Valley Doll took to the air.....and landed the Full Moonsault perfectly! Chris's legs bounced up for a second from the force of them impact before splaying themselves open. For Chris it felt like someone had detached a star from the heavens and hurled it right into her chest! Her eyes flew wide open in shock and pain for a moment before closing, the taller blonde completely devastated by the high risk, high reward finisher!

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered as Valley landed her finisher, and she would’ve loved to hear them and appreciate their applause. However, she was far too busy rolling over and cradling her chest, groaning as the pain rolled through her bones. The tremendous impact from the Full Moonsault was a double-edged sword, one she’d never quite get used to being cut by.

She couldn’t wallow for long, though. Chris Morgan was ready to be pinned, and she wasn’t going to let that opportunity go to waste.

Desperate and drained, Valley crawled over to her titanic frenemy and flopped on her chest, going for a pin and not even bothering to hook the leg. Probably wouldn’t have been strong enough to lift it, anyway.

The referee dropped down and started slapping the mat. ”1…!”
