Chris Morgan vs. Valley Doll II - Phenominal

Close to the ropes, getting closer, almost there…

Valley reached out the ropes and her salvation, only to be pulled away from them when Chris caught up with her, dragging her across the ring. ”Crud!”

Okay, that didn’t work out so well, but Valley could move on to Plan B. The Plan B that she’d only come up with in this exact second, as she was dragged around like a rag doll.

The plan involved looking over her shoulder as Chris got her to the center of the ring, then watching as her fearsome foe leaped into the air for what would’ve been a particularly painful elbow drop. The second her feet left the floor, Valley tried to roll to side, give her nothing but empty mat to land on.

Once Valley was back in the middle of the ring, Chris released the leg and leaped into the air, trying to deliver an elbow drop in an attempt to cause damage to a crucial part of her opponent's offense.

However, Val proved savvy and agile enough to scramble out of the way, leaving Chris to thud into the mat with her elbow!

"Arrghh!" the former Wrestle Angel called out, a mixture of frustration and pain after she landed on her side.

Despite giving a yell of pain, Chris would quickly scramble to her feet, not wanting to remain off her vertical base for very long and give Valley an easy target to attack.

Valley winced when Chris hit the mat and shrieked, both out of sympathy for her close friend and from the realization of how painful that would’ve been if she hadn’t dodged. She’d taken plenty of elbow drops in her day, but never from someone this big. It was an experience she hoped to push off as long as possible.

So, the situation right now: Chris Morgan was hurt, but steadily getting back to her feet, at which point she would probably just stomp Valley into the mat or do something safer than an elbow drop, but no less painful.

The problem: Valley’s leg was still hurting too much to get up before Chris could in order to capitalize on her limited window.

The solution: Improvise.

With Chris still rising, Valley spun around on her back and swung out with her good leg, trying to kick the Phenomenon in her phenominal head before she could get all the way back up.

Chris thought she had still had the advantage over Valley. She thought that she'd make it back to a standing position, and then deal with her opponent from a position of power.

She thought wrong.

Valley spun and suddenly lashed out with a foot. The kick, awkward as it was, caught Chris in the side of the head. The blonde instantly fell onto her back, a dull ringing in her ears.

Crap, even a glancing blow to the head is enough to knock me loopy Chris thought to herself dimly as she laid on the mat, looking up at the lights....

Valley’s natural instinct after getting an opponent flat on their back was to go for a pin, then work them over from there if it didn’t work. Not always the most successful strategy, but it was a good way to at least start wearing her opponents down.

Not with Chris Morgan, though. There was absolutely no chance she’d get more than a one count off that kick, and it wouldn’t drain nearly enough from the giantess' deep well of stamina to be worth the trouble. Not when there better, more useful avenues to take.

”Excuse me,” Valley snatched Chris’ arm while she was still stunned and laying. ”Just let me…”

She worked quick, bending Chris’ arm and reaching through the hole with her own. Valley placed a leg across the wrist, grabbed her ankle to lock it, then pulled up with her arm while her leg forced the wrist back down to the mat.

A little complicated, but if this worked - and she was iffy on that, since she’d never tried the move on someone so big - Valley would have Chris in a short arm scissors, a good way to deal with the obvious strength advantage. She just had to hope that her training would pay off when she needed it most.

Dazed as Valley caught hold of her arm, Chris didn't offer much resistance as the other woman began to set up her hold.

However, once her fellow blonde began to thread her arm through Chris's, the Wrestle Angel knew that Valley was going for another hold, this one on a part she needed. Pain lanced through her arm, making her give an agonized yell as Valley completed her hold.

The crowd roared as the Slamzon got her hold set in, locking Chris down on the mat. The pain of the hold and the noise of the crowd cleared away any lingering fogginess from Val's kick. She was aware of the ref leaning down, asking if she wanted to give up.

"Nngh....no!" Chris replied, her strong will defying the crowd who demanded her surrender....

Chris was fairly groggy as Valley locked in the short arm scissors, but she knew that wasn’t going to last too long. Pain was a great stimulant.

Sure enough, the thrashing started the moment she began to apply the pressure, and Valley was in for a wild ride. Her legs were strong, the hold was good, but there was a lot of power to hold onto with that arm. It was a fierce, surging strength, and she wasn’t sure how long she could anchor the mighty angel.

”Chris!” The referee kneeled near Chris’ head, taking care not to get too close. ”Chris, do you give up?”

”Might want to consider it, babe!” Valley twisted her hips from side to side, wrenching the hold for a little extra pain. ”Don’t want to take your arm, so don’t make me...”

Taunting aside, Valley knew Chris wasn’t about to give up here. But the longer she held this, the more she got out of it. This was a move that could benefit her well into the match.

Chris would have loved to reply to Valley's babe comment. Probably make the punchline something about David Bowie. Cue laughter. But she needed to focus past the pain, and find a way out of this hold.

Gritting her teeth, Chris rolled to her right while drawing her legs up, resulting in her being face down, her knees under her. It lessened the pressure on her arm somewhat bringing a sense of relief.

From there other wrestlers might have rolled through the hold, or gone for an escape to the ropes. Normally Chris would have elected to go for a rope break. But she felt like she needed to give Val a reason to be wary for putting Chris in further submission holds.

Scooting forward, she got more of her upper torso under Valley's body, making the crowd wonder what she was about as she brought her free arm around her friend's hip.

However it became apparent when Chris began to rise to her feet, looking to stand with Valley perched on her shoulders in a very precarious electric chair. However, the Slamazon wouldnt have to hold it very long, for then Chris would fall straight back, dropping her and Valley back to the mat with the loud sound of bodies hitting the canvas!

More and more, Valley cranked the hold and poured the pressure into Chris’ arm. More and more, Chris resisted and refused to even consider giving up. As much as the Slamazon marveled at the display of strength and fortitude, she was starting to cross the thin line between being impressed and annoyed.

And worried. This was a fairly dangerous move she had the Phenomenon locked in. She wasn’t going for the ropes, nowhere close, and the longer she held it in… ”Uh, Chris?” The worry dripped off her voice. ”Maybe-”

Before she could voice her fears, they became completely moot. Chris was moving. Not just moving, but powering up, rolling around. Making the hold difficult to control, but not impossible. It was a little frustrating, but the superior position was still hers.

Or so she thought. When Chris began to rise up in a staggering display of might and will, she began to rethink that notion.

”Nononono-” Valley hit the mat hard with all of Chris’ weight driving the impact. She croaked, bounced off the canvas, then came down with her arms and legs spread-eagled, flat on her back, breathing hard. Not a fun experience, and she had the inkling there’d be more like it to come.

Once Valley was driven to the canvas and she was free from her armlock, Chris clutched at the limb as a dull ache settled in. The larger blonde rose to her feet, shaking her arm out, trying to relive some of that lingering pain.

Yeah, that's not good. Chris thought to herself. Val's got a real good start on trying to take that arm out. She has gotten better, far better than she was the last time we faced each other. That spar was only a hint at that. I need to step things up. I'm not going to be name number four on her list of beaten Wrestle Angels.

Reaching down, the former Wrestle Angel would haul Valley to her feet by grabbing her wrist and her short blonde hair and pulling her back up to a standing position. Moving behind her opponent,  Chris would wrap one arm around Val's waist, tucking her own head under the Slamazon's armpit. The other seized her leg, bending it at the knee.

What happened next would bring a mingled "Ohhhhh!" of amazement at Chris's strength, and sympathy for Valley Doll.

She would try to lift Valley up off her feet, high into the air before bringing her crashing down, the leg Chris was holding slamming down onto the point of her knee in a shin breaker.

But, the Californian colossus didn't stop there. She didn't let Valley go when she completed the shin breaker. Instead Chris lifted her right back up in the same position, except this time Val would keep going up and over as the bigger woman immediately went for a modified belly to back suplex, looking to drop her friend on the back of her head and shoulders, attacking her at both ends with a wicked combination of slams!
