Tempest Tournament Finals: Gabbie Desjardini Vs. Gwendolyn DuPont Bettencourt

Given how weary Gwen was from having her midsection pummeled like that, collapsing to her knees was a relatively natural motion. Though now the heiress had a spiking head pain to cope with as well, Gwen massaging the area where Gabbie's jaw had made impact. Gwen peered up with a wincing face to make doubly sure Gabbie was incapacitated by her reversal.

After taking the time to regulate her heaving breathing, Gwen crawled towards the side of the Dojo lackey and planted her knee against Gabbie's cheek to keep her immobile. The heiress then reached down for the same abused leg Gwen had been intentionally targeting the entire match by the ankle and hook the leg behind her neck for a dreadfully spine contorting stretch muffler.

< If it were, I would be contending with that loathsome wench and bending her to my will instead of you...an inferior and ersatz replacement with grand delusions about fairplay and honor~...> Gwen snarled spitefully while adding further pressure to the hold on Gabbie's tortured leg by gradually tugging down on her ankle.

"Nnn...."

Gabbie was still trying to recover from the jawbreaker when she felt the hard knee crush against her head. Before she could even start to pull away, her targeted leg was yanked. "Ahp!" She yelped at the sudden jolt of pressure being applied to her leg and ankle before it was suddenly curled painfully around the haughty heiress' shoulders like a feathered boa.

"Ahhhhhhhh!"

Gabbie screeched and began clawing at the canvas while Gwendolyn spoke to her in her first language. Gabbie sucked in a breath and hissed. She snarled.

"Nnnngh!"

Targeting Gabbie's injured leg once more, Gwen returned to the only strategy that was earning her any progress against the Dojo lackey. She aggressively tugged down on Gabbie's ankle to further hobble her opponent's usage of the leg before removing her knee from Gabbie's skull.

"...nngh..." Gwen groaned from the simple task of climbing back to her feet. Though by maintaining her grip on Gabbie's ankle with her leg still draped behind Gwen's neck, that left the Dojo lackey hanging upside down with the entirety of her weight now hyper-extending her entire leg.

The audience winced from the unsettling imagery and from imagining the amount of sheer pain coursing through Gabbie's tortured limb. Gwendolyn grit her teeth and kept Gabbie propped up like this before callously flinging her leg off her neck once it appeared the damage had been done.

Gabbie couldn't help but whimper in pain as Gwendolyn continued the awful hold. She was nearly tearing up but she wasn't going to give the blonde another loud yelp if she could help it. When she felt Gwendolyn begin to transition to a standing position, she thought the heiress might be moving onto something else.

She hoped, at least and, unfortunately, she was wrong.

As Gabbie was lifted off the mats in a rather impressive, wince inducing hold, she dropped her hands and pushed against the mats. Her leg had been targeted, but her upper body had barely been touched and even if her most powerful weapons were her feet, she was no slouch with her arms either.

Trying to do what amounted to handstand push ups, she used Gwendolyn to help support her and pushed up to relieve some pressure. The heiress had given the kickboxer an avenue of escape whether she realized it or not. Gabbie pulled her free leg forward in front of her and then winged it back at Gwendolyn, trying to drive her heel into the heiress' forehead.

"Haaaaaaa!"

Angling Gabbie's tormented leg behind her neck as she stood upright wasn't garnering quite the reaction Gwen had anticipated. Rather than more tortured screams or fervent resistance, the Dojo lackey leveraged a significant portion of the weight off of her hyper-extended knee by pushing herself off the canvas. Gwen noticed the infuriating adjustment with an angered glare and only just barely managed to fling Gabbie off of her before her kick could connect, her heel brushing against Gwens golden curls and was inches away from walloping her right in her smug visage.

< Nyuh-uh...Fool me once~...> Gwen pompously responded with a sneer while wagging her index finger right in her scrappy opponent's face. The heiress wisely remembered the last time she was working over Gabbie's leg before the impetuous whelp countered with a similar counter strike from her free leg. The bruising pain from her abdomen making doubly sure Gwen responded in time to have her opponent hit nothing but air.

< Hopelessly predictable without nary an ounce of adjustment or adaptability~...> Gwen gleefully gloated with few assertive stomps to Gabbie's lower lumbar, all while circling the kickboxer until her predatorial stalking ended with her seemingly in Gabbie's blindspot. If the Dojo lackey attempted to climb back to her feet in any way at all, Gwen would rush up behind her and kick the back of Gabbie's tormented knee to have her collapse back down.

Gabbie dropped to the canvas with hardly anything to show for her efforts. Her leg was hurting quite a bit now and jolts of pain were sent through her body even as she rolled onto her hands and knees.

"Hah... Hah...."

Gabbie panted and was crushed back to the canvas with a few heartless stomps from the heiress. "Ahhhh!" She screamed and tried to roll away. Getting just enough distance to try and stand up in spite of the pain, she knew she had to get up but she was annoyed at Gwendolyn's words. Gabbie was a kickboxer before she was anything else, but that Gwendolyn thought that was the only thing she could do annoyed her quite a bit. Unfortunately, as she tried to get up, even though she hurried, she was chopped back down to size with the sharp kick to the back of her knee.

"Ahhhhhhh!" She screamed again and rolled some more, grabbing her knee and rolling onto her back.

Gwen proudly marched onward after sweeping out the legs from underneath Gabbie. She elegantly strode forward with her perfectly poised footwork before bowing deeply with her leg bent behind her in a graceful curtsy, all to the irate displeasure of the incensed audience and to some emphatic applause from her ringside entourage.

The callous disregard towards the well-being of Gabbie's potentially injured leg riling up the crowd even more once it was becoming clear how lop-sided the match was becoming. The Dojo faithful audience members clapping steadily to encourage Gabbie into overcoming her hobbled leg once Gwen began approaching her once more, the heiress now standing beside the Dojo lackey with a sadistic and smug sneer.

< Just to clarify the matter...as much pleasure as I would have derived form hobbling Cassie just as much as I have you, I take great pride in being the one to cause that repugnant whelp to show her true, cowardly colors...I sincerely doubt she would have fared any better than you have anyway~...> Gwen uttered while reaching down to viciously clasp onto Gabbie's disheveled hair, gradually dragging her up by tugging on her scalp while making sure they never left eye contact.

"A-ahhh!"

Gabbie cried as she was roughly grabbed by the hair and forced to look into Gwendolyn's eyes. Her injured leg curled up, not wanting to touch the ground. Her hand rested weakly on Gwendolyn's chest, just above her bust, using it for support as the blonde ranted.

Gabbie narrowed her eyes when Gwendolyn finished. She decided it was better to say her next line in English. "Win... or lose..." She began. "I'm not going anywhere." Gabbie growled. "And I don't intend to lose!"

Gabbie's fingers dug into Gwendolyn's leotard and used it for support. She then shoved Gwendolyn to put some distance bwtween the two, hopping on one foot for a second before she lashed it out at Gwendolyn's head.

Hauling Gabbie back to her feet against her will, Gwendolyn was delighted in seeing the exhaustive toll the match had taken on her limping opponent. Gabbie was clearly incapable of putting any pressure on her bum leg, and was pawing pathetically at Gwens chest for some leverage while rising back up. Gwen's methodical targeting of Gabbie's ankle and knee cap had left the Dojo lackey with her speed significantly hampered and half of her offensive repertoire robbed of her. But for Gwendolyn to officially bookend this match, she needed Gabbie to be standing at attention right in front of her...  

"Tch!!" Gwen scoffed at Gabbie's rebellious retort, losing her grip on her scruffy hair in the process from the emphatic shoving. Out of the corner of her eye, Gwen noticed the Dojo lackey rearing back for an impactful kick to her cranium. But as if on instinctual auto-pilot, Gwen easily caught her leg once more before it made contact, Gabbie's ankle now tightly secured in Gwen's armpit with her kick never having laid one foot on the heiress. The strike was significantly more sluggish than usual given it was Gabbies injured leg attempting the blow.

"HA!!! PREDICTABLE!!!" Gwen screamed back after having so easily countered yet another one of her opponent's kicks. A haughty sneer on her face as she took a few seconds to revel in her opponent's ineptitude and poor choice of tactics, leaving Gabbie briefly hopping on one leg before intending to collapse backward and twist her opponent's leg even further in a Dragon Screw leg takedown!!

Gabbie winced when Gwendolyn caught her leg. She knew that leg had a lot less power in it than normally and she wasn't really expecting any other outcome. In fact, as Gwendolyn so boastfully stated Gabbie's ineptitude, the Canadian kickboxer was already testing her position in Gwendolyn's clutches.

As Gwendolyn screamed, Gabbie didn't say a word. She only smirked very briefly as she swung her free leg up, falling backwards for the enzuigiri she called her Scarborough Bluff. What she hoped would follow was a satisfying crack across Gwendolyn's smug jaw from the powerful kick that came off of Gabbie's quite uninjured leg.
