Tempest Tournament Finals: Gabbie Desjardini Vs. Gwendolyn DuPont Bettencourt

Gwendolyn angrily scoffed when the underside of her boot only barely managed to scratch the side of Gabbie's cheek. Her petite size had already made her an infuriatingly small target, but Gabbie's light-footed swiftness exacerbated that problem and made pinning her down even more troublesome. Nevertheless, her kick did usher Gabbie back into the corner. Somewhere that all of her opponent's nimbleness couldn't avail her given the lack of room for movement. Gwen approached with a confident smirk before the baggage handler retaliated with a stiff punt straight to her gut!

"OOPH!!" Gwen arched forward and doubled overherself from the stomach churning strike to her breadbasket, tactically retreating a few steps while cradling her battered midsection with one of her arms. Her other hand clung tightly to the middle rope at her side as she strained to steady her ragged breathing. Trying to corner Gabbie was starting to become more trouble than it was worth…

With Gwendolyn backing away from Gabbie's straight kick, the Canadian lunged away to try and get away from the corner. To try and make sure she succeeded, when she was facing the heiress' side, she planted her foot and aimed a shark kick at the back of Gwendolyn's calf, hoping to continue to back her away from Gabbie to let Gabbie escape to the middle of the ring.

Consecutive strikes to her slim abdomen were whittling away at her endurance and testing her patience, the heiress glaring to her side as she spotted the nimble kick-boxer starting to maneuver her way out of the corner. By now, Gwen could assume what was coming this time around, and reflexively reached down to capture Gabbie's leg immediately after it smacked against Gwen's calf muscle.

Gwen straightened up her posture and fastened Gabbie's ankle in the crook of her arm, the heiress wincing from the pain in her leg and abdomen before abruptly yanking Gabbie's leg forward. Slamming her ankle down to the canvas and forcing the Dojo baggage handler into performing a full leg split...whether her body was conditioned to do it or not.

Gabbie thought she had a kick low enough not to be grabbed, but when Gwendolynsnatched her foot up, leaving Gabbie hopping in place, the Canadian didn't flinch. She was grateful for the heiress to allow Gabbie to end the match rather quickly. The blonde smirked but before she could leave her feet, Gwendolyn dropped to the ground. Gabbie's eyes widened and when she felt her ankle smashed into the canvas, she howled in pain.

"Ahhhhh!"

Flexible enough, the splits position, wasn't an issue for the canadian, but the pain coursing through her ankle was much more on her mind in that moment as she tried desperately to yank her leg away from Gwendolyn and roll away from the blonde.

Gabbie's fervent struggling made Gwen relinquish her hold on the damaged ankle, allowing the baggage handler the freedom to roll away. But not without the heiress encroaching upon her immediately afterwards and stopping her with a swift boot to her lower back. Gabbie's prowess as a kickboxer meant that although she had talent as a striker, it could have her come off as predictable. And Gwen gladly allowed herself to suffer a slight hitch in her step if she could finally start putting the match on it's rightful course.

"...Tch...I don't think beating you will be any trouble at all..." Gwen sarcastically scoffed down at Gabbie with her hands propped up on her curvy hips, a nasally inflection to her blatant mocking of what the Dojo lackey had said earlier. Gwen reached down for the ankle she had abused earlier, lifted her leg up high and sharply spiked Gabbie's knee down to the mat.

"Ahhhh!"

Gabbie yelped as the boot kicked her and she flopped onto the canvas groaning. She heard Gwendolyn's mocking words and scowled. She didn't feel any different now, even with Gwendolyn trying to throw the words back in her face.

"Aaaaaah!"

She screamed again when her knee was spiked. She knew that putting herself out there as a kickboxer meant that her legs would naturally be targeted. While annoying, it also meant she always knew where her opponents were going to aim. Now if only she was in a position to use that knowledge...

Gwen's methodical targeting of Gabbie's increasingly battered leg clearly showcased the heiress' plans moving forward with this match. Debilitating one of her legs meant not only hampering her movements, but potentially robbing Gabbie of her greatest offensive asset. The heiress' ruthless and demeanor never wavering even from Gabbie's howls of pain as she bent down to grasp the same leg by it's ankle for further torment.

"Sooo...perhaps you could enlighten me~...How IS our dear friend Cassandra~...?" Gwen politely posited in her posh vocals, raising Gabbie's leg upward with a sharp torquing of her ankle in an unnatural direction. "No doubt she's still cowering away in some godforsaken corner of the world after having accepted her vast inferiority when in the presence of one such as myself~..." Gwen taunted with a smug smirk while hugging Gabbie's leg against her soft chest. She maintained her ankle lock but only applied serious pressure at certain timed intervals, allowing Gabbie the breath to respond in between any of her lovely screams of pain.

"Nnnghhh!"

Gabbie grunted when Gwendolyn took her leg back, keeping her from crawling away. Worse yet, the ankle lock was really putting the screws on her ankle, no matter how limber and flexible it might be. She pushed her head into the canvas and dug her fingers into the mats while she listened to the heiress almost casually speak. It was infuriating.

"Shut. Up." Gabbie growled. "Nnngh! I can't stand fake people." Gabbie hissed. "You ducked her because you know you wouldn't last two seconds in a real fight with her! We both know it! Haannngh...."

Tired of having her foot nearly ripped off and wanting to avoid another knee spike, Gabbiie arched her butt in the air and looked underneath herself. Lining up the heiress' belly in her vision, she jammed her free foot, her good foot, as hard as she could straight backwards to hit Gwendolyn in the stomach hard with the heel of her foot.

Gwendolyn's notorious gift for articulate verbosity was often her method of playing mind games with her opponent and distracting them with scattered thoughts. Preventing them from concentrating on the match by whittling away at their mental fortitude. Though Gabbie's response served to distract Gwendolyn herself, the heiress viciously glaring down at the languishing kickboxer when she mentioned not being able to hold her own against Cassie. Distorted imagery of her spar with Cassie flashed in her head, in particular how the loathed grappler outright humbled her by making her tap out in record time.  

"Allow me to impart what I DO know...That if you detest fraudulency with such fervent zeal, than you should be groveling at my feet in absolute gratitude for riding this league of that repugnant wen-Hooph!!" Gwen's spiteful tirade would be cut short by the stiff punt to her breadbasket, the heiress heaving out the air in her lungs and lurching over herself while crossing her arms across her stomach. Gwen grimaced and backpedaled a few steps. Not seeing the attack coming made the jarring impact that much more stunning...

Gabbie had learned one thing in her relatively short time as a wrestler: she didn't need to stay in the ring. Once she forced Gwendolyn off her, instead of trying to stand up and test her leg, she rolled under the bottom rope and out of the ring, flopping to the thin mats below.

As she caught her breath, she stretched her leg and tested her ankle, wincing a bit. Rolling to her knees, she peeked over the apron.

"Elliot's a better woman than you'll ever be." Gabbie growled. "But it sickens me that she let people like you get to her enough to quit."
