Saturday Night Super Spar: The Outsiders vs Sonic Boom

Alaina smiled as she saw that they were kicking it off with the two champions in the ring at the same time. She knew rushing in would be something Adrian expected, and likely had an easy but effective counter for. Alaina was going to show the hardcore icon that the amazon was more than just muscle.

She moved in, closing the distance with Adrian before locking up with her in a grapple! Alaina would struggle and strain as she pushed Adrian back a bit. Show some power... then make a quick move! Alaina had her plan ready to go, and while it wasn't anything special it did show that there was more to her inside the ring. Alaina moved both her arms to grab one of Adrians while spinning her body to get behind Adrian, still holding onto that arm.

Alaina did her best to set in a simple hammerlock, give it a bit of pressure and then shove Adrian away to create some distance.

Adrian wasn't going to object to starting out with a collar and elbow tie up with the blonde amazon, get a feel for just how strong the Entropy champion was, probably definitely stronger than the Hardcore Champion, but then again you tended to have to dive into the kawaii ranks to find people with less direct upper body strength than Adrian, getting shoved back was no big deal, all she needed to do was dig in just enough to force Alaina to over commit and then-

Oh. Didn't see that one coming.

Alaina slipped around Adrian and twisted the brunette's arm on the way past, not even giving her time to counter it before she pushed the Hardcore Champ far away enough to prevent any immediate retaliation, just giving her a small ache on her shoulder as she turned around to face the Amazon. Not the start she was expecting to be sure, but if Alaina wanted to trade holds instead of the usual push-pull that was fine with Adrian.

Alaina saw that Adrian was a little confused as to her tactics. Good. Keep her guessing. Alaina moved in again for a tie-up, but this time would immediately try to reach in and grab one of Adrian's arms looking to whip her over to the ropes as hard as she could! The more variety Alaina threw into her offense, the better off she would be against Adrian, whose technique was among the best out there! Not that Alaina was bad, as she made strides in that department.... but she was no Adrian.

Alaina would waste no time giving immediate chase looking to clothesline Adrian hard into the mat! Alaina hoped that by pursuing right away Adrian wouldn't have the time to react to the clothesline. Alaina looked forward to hearing a nice loud thud as Adrian hit the mat, but if Adrian was able to dodge and counter then Alaina might be the one making that loud thud...

Adrian didn't put up much resistance to being whipped across the ring by the blonde, it wasn't as bad in tag matches when she could just tag out if she needed a breather, and her cardio was good. What wasn't good was the Amazon charging right behind her with the intentions to take off her head with something. Probably, she wasn't sure about that, it was a good guess that Alaina was up to something as the former cosplayer hit the ropes the other side of the ring.

Wrapping her arms over the top and slamming her back deep into the ropes, the hardcore champion used the momentum that the Entropy Champion gave her to swing her body up, trying to get her foot into Alaina's jaw. She didn't have the stability to push really hard, but hopefully that was enough to dissuade the Amazon from charging her.

Alaina didn't even have time to react as Adrian's foot met her jaw! Alaina let out a muffled grunt of pain as she immediately covered her jaw with her hands, staggering back after the surprise change of fortune! Alaina rubbed on her jaw and shook her head. While not a hard hit, the surprise factor led to her being noticeably stunned!

"Ok, you got this..." Alaina said to herself as she got ready to get right back into it. Unfortunately for her, she highly doubted that Adrian would just sit back while she recovered uninterrupted...

Adrian's feet flopped back to the mat as she hung on to the top rope for dear life, trying not to topple herself over the top and on to the apron, or worse, the floor. Still, the hardcore champion had successfully derailed Alaina's initial gambit, now it was time to test how much Sonic Boom knew about tag team strategy.

Pushing away from the ropes, Adrian dived passed Alaina on one side, twisting herself to get an arm in between her legs as she zoomed behind the amazon, trying to wrap the blonde up in a quick school boy roll-up.

Alaina felt herself being pulled back, and resting on her shoulders! She was still trying to figure out exactly what happened, and how it happened when she heard something unsettling.

"One!"

With a grunt and thrust forward of her legs, Alaina kicked free of the pin right when the two count would have come. Adrian was fast, crafty, and experienced. Fortunately, Alaina also knew someone who fit that bill. Alaina rolled to her side and made haste to her corner, looking to tag in Julia. If Adrian wanted to play speedy games she was going to be in for a surprise...

"One!" Rebecca called out from the sides, a small smile on her face as her smaller compatriot did her thing "Her shoulders were down, right? They looked down."

"Pretty sure!" Adrian yelped as she was kicked off the blonde amazon, maybe that trick was a bit too greedy on the part of the Hardcore Champion, way too early to be thinking about pins, but it was good to know that Julia didn't just dash in for the save at a moments notice. The brunette had made that mistake before in tag team matches and it almost cost her the match via DQ. Even with AFWs shoddy refereeing there's only so many times the illegal woman can jump in, and trusting your partner to be able to kick out was a big deal in tag matches.

She didn't put up a fight when Alaina headed for her corner, gave her time to calm down and prepare for what the Sonic part of Sonic Boom had in store for her.

Though excited as she watched the action unfold in the ring, Julia patiently observed. It wasn’t like she’d had time to study up on either of her opponents much before this, so anything she could learn about them from where she stood was information worth holding on to. Adrian was as quick and resourceful as she expected, though what Julia didn’t expect was for Alaina to suddenly get rolled up for a quick pin attempt! Still, having been an opponent of the Amazon’s on three separate occasions in addition to her training partner, the luchadora knew it was going to take much more to keep Alaina down for a three. Sure enough, the kickout came quick after the one count.

“No worries, Alaina!” Julia called out to her partner, clapping her hands a couple times before Alaina rolled toward her. She could tell Alaina was wanting to adjust to a speedy pace to try to overwhelm Adrian, so she quickly reached out to make a fast tag, then flung herself over the top rope and took a darting step right at Adrian the second her feet hit the mat! However, the hardcore champ was already staring her down and in a defensible stance. Dictating pace was one thing, but to rush Adrian now would only make herself vulnerable.

So instead Julia hit the breaks coming to all but a complete stop, with a playful grin on her masked face and both hands held up as if she were about to try initiating a lockup. But she then abruptly spun in place and threw the sole of her right boot at Adrian’s stomach, hoping to briefly stun the champ.

"Umph!" Adrian grunted, she fell for Julia's bait hook, line and sinker and got a boot to the gut for it, doubling the Hardcore Champion over pretty simply and putting any plans she had for the opening lock up on hold.

"Stop going so easy on 'em Addy!" Rebecca called from the ropes, both members of Sonic Boom now had gotten an initial advantage over Adrian, and while the Hardcore champ often struggled matching early aggression with other wrestlers, but she could at least try and not be so reactive in sparring.
