Georgia Flynn debut - vs. Abattoir

Abattoir paced in the ring like a caged tiger, banging her gloves together. Her eyes watched every movement Georgia made out there, shining with violent anticipation. The urge to dive out there and brawl at ringside was considerable, especially since she'd recently started using the object-assisted double-stomp to great effect (the crowd ate that move up, presumably because of the absurd violence it represented). On the one hand, rushing in could get her caught, especially if she wasn't measured in her approach. On the other, coddling her opponents had never been Abattoir's style, and she certainly didn't tend to let them rest.

She compromised by giving Georgia four seconds to recover.

After that, vacation time was over. Abattoir was stalking across the ring, briskly but deliberately, and with frightening speed she lashed out between the middle and top ropes, grabbing the brunette's head with both hands. (She noticeably avoided the hair. Small favors, perhaps.) Bracing for leverage, the nak muay tried to forcibly drag Georgia up through the ropes and back into the ring like a crocodile (or a xenomorph in the vents, if you're a total nerd).

Ok, just clear your head, you aren't beat yet, you can still pull this-OHDEARGOD!

Georgia yelped, her head being grabbed as the apparently impatient masked girl began pulling her back up onto the apron and through the ropes, getting Georgia back on the apron before the girl fought back, grabbing Abattoir's arm and falling back off the ring apron back to the floor, trying to pull Abattoir through the ropes to fall with her!

Things were looking pretty good for Abattoir at the moment, and as she grabbed something close to a plum clinch through the ropes, it seemed that things were about to look even better. Drawing back, the nak muay attempted to drag her opponent back into the ring in hopes of throwing some knees - but something unexpected happened!

Seemingly on reflex, Georgia jerked back to try to get out of her grasp, and since she was holding onto an arm, well, the laws of physics took their toll. Abattoir's eyes widened momentarily, and then the next thing she knew the outside mats were rising up to meet her. She hit the floor with an unceremonious thud next to Georgia, landing right on her shoulder. For the moment, there wasn't much she could do apart from rolling over to take the pressure off it - the impact, and the suddenness of it, had caught her off guard and left her dazed.

Georgia lay on the floor, catching her breath for a couple of the refs ring out counts, getting to "THREE!" before she sat up, looking at the dazed woman next to her, breathing a quick sigh of relief at having saved herself whatever the woman had in mind.

Grabbing Abattoir by the arm, paying back the masked woman's previous courtesy of not grabbing the hair, and rolled her back into the ring. Climbing onto the apron, the girl in blue watched and waited for Abattoir to make it back to her feet before jumping to the top rope and springboarding off, turning in the air and trying to catch her with a spinning wheel kick to the chest!

All right. That had been relying a teensy bit too much on her physical strength. The laws of physics had bitchslapped Abattoir right out of her ill-conceived plan of attack.

This left her to surmise that she probably deserved the growing pain in her shoulder as Georgia hoisted her up - by the same arm, in fact, causing a bolt of pain to streak all the way from her fingertips to her traps - and hauled her into the ring. Good. That was a moment or two to recover and reassess the situation. So far, it'd been back and forth, but she'd pretty consistently had the rookie on the ropes. As soon as she was up, she turned to intercept Georgia on her way into the ring---WHOA, WAIT, WHAT.

There was just barely enough time to get her arms up before the flying wheel kick crashed into her, taking her right back to the mat. Even that was little more than damage control - a fight isn't like a video game, after all, where blocking something totally negates it. Not only did the momentum from Georgia's attack knock her down, but all the force of the strike was absorbed on her forearms and (to a lesser extent) chest. Abattoir's shoulder screamed again from the jolt as she rolled over on the mat, blinking in surprise. Hot damn, that'd been a hell of a shot.

Alright, excellent, that worked. With the ball back in her court, Georgia knew she had to keep the momentum going, and aimed to just that.

Giving a few claps, playing to the crowd, Georgia pulled Abattoir up to her feet, holding onto the girls hurting arm, having noticed her holding it when on the floor, and twisting her arm to keep her in place as she neared the ropes.

Once close, she ran towards them, using the middle rope as a step up to the top rope and standing on it, using her grip on Abattoir's arm to keep her balance, even taking a step or two forward before leaping off, back into the ring, hitting the mat and throwing her body down to the side, trying to use the momentum to throw Abattoir with a flashy arm drag!

Abattoir was nothing if not high-energy; she was already up to her knees by the time Georgia wrenched her back to her feet, although the wrench on her already-damaged shoulder drew a hiss of pain and a daggerlike stare. Still, in this position she wasn't in much of a state to pull away as the other girl maneuvered her over to the corner in a wristlock, then mounted the top rope. Whoa. The hell was this supposed to be...

Seconds later, Georgia was walking on the ropes, which was alarming; the nak muay stepped forward to head her off at the pass and was just about to kick the top rope (which would've had some hilarious results) when her opponent wisely decided to cut it short at a couple steps and dove off, sailing over Abattoir's head and pulling her into an armdrag. Having not been entirely aware of where the move was going, Abattoir was caught off guard and barely managed to flip in time. Even so, that was another torque on her rotator cuff, and as she skidded across the canvas, she was keenly aware that her right arm wasn't going to be particularly useful from here on out. It felt mostly numb at the moment, interspersed with the occasional shock of hot, searing pain.

She'd have to switch to southpaw when she got up. Well, if she got up; at the moment she wasn't totally sure which way was up. Georgia's comeback wasn't giving her much of a chance to recover - a tactically sound move.

"YEAHH! WOO! You like that Tokyo!"

Georgia yelled, getting back to her feet and hopping around, running up to and climbing the turnbuckle, raising her arms up and clapping, trying, and succeeding, to get the crowd, impressed by the rookie, to clap along for her.

Hopping back down, she pointed at the fallen nak muay, clearly showing intentions of putting the match to bed as she walked up over to her, this time grabbing Abattoir's leg and dragging her to the center of the ring.

"Alright, nothing personal, but its time you tapped out!"

The irish-american from California yelled, giving a few hard kicks to the masked woman's leg before wrapping her own about it, trying to fall back to the mat and lock in a tight Figure 4 Leg Lock!

Okay. First things first. Being in a figure four leglock sucks. The knee is not meant to flex that way and, especially if somebody's just kicked it a few times, as Georgia had wisely done, it's going to be in significant discomfort from the sheer force being applied to it. Abattoir was having, all things considered, a pretty bad time.

With that said, it could be way worse. Her shoulder was all messed up from the last few minutes of wrestling, and if a Fujiwara armbar or something similar had gotten locked on, she would've potentially been in very serious trouble. Her legs, on the other hand - arguably her strongest asset - hadn't been checking kicks or anything, and really hadn't taken much damage at all. It was a rookie mistake, the kind she herself had been very prone to making until recently. Maybe the other girl was letting the excitement of a big debut get to her - nerves and giddy anticipation could cause people to make snap decisions even when they didn't mean to.

Unfortunately for Georgia, Abattoir was 100% certified dead inside and not particularly prone to errors of overexcitement. She sat straight up, flexed her legs to alleviate a little of the pressure, stared her opponent right in the eyes, and began dragging herself backward with her hands. It took a little longer than most people would be comfortable with, but the thing was...she had time to work for it. She wasn't in as much danger as she could've been.

By the time she got to the ropes, the nak muay wasted no time at all in grabbing them. Even as the referee counted for the break, she was pulling herself upright, trying to stand up and put weight on the leg that wasn't being figure-foured. The second Georgia let go, Abattoir put that leg down too (with a bit of a wince - damn, girl really knew how to do that move), dropped into a southpaw stance, and then she was lunging forward, trying to catch her rising opponent with a lariat using her good arm.

Georgia liked to think she was a brave girl. Certainly not a coward at all. After all, a coward wouldn't pack up and leave home at a fresh 19 years old and going to the other side of the world to fight people for a living.

So it was no small thing to say that seeing Abattoir sit straight up, holding direct eye contact before pulling herself to the ropes, was goddamn terrifying.

Even worse, the excited rookies figure 4 didn't seem to have much effect, no doubt, as Georgia was just realizing, because she had been too overly eager to show off instead of probably damaging the legs first.

Abattoir surprised her again after grabbing the ropes, as the Irish-American was forced to break the hold, not wanting to risk a DQ, only having enough time to get up to her feet before a hard lariat smashed into her chest, with enough force behind it to flip her head over heels before she landed on her chest!
