"You know, now that you've said it out loud, I kinda do want to get pizza AND pie. That just sounds lovely." Shido said. Rio quickly followed up by winking at him and stating "Well, I've got the 'pie' if you get the pizza." To which Shido just laughed nervously. The four of them were having a good time getting up to their usual antics before Shido pointed out a diner he had looked up that was just a few blocks from where they were. A diner that served both pizza and pie.

"Anyone feel like giving this place a shot?" He offered.

While Daisuke and Sion didn't laugh at the joke they did grin a little bit as it took them a couple seconds to get what she was saying, but they didn't find it bad.

There were no objections to the suggested spot. "Are you sure this is something we won't regret later?" Sion comments. "Guess we'll have to wait and see." Dai replies as she hops out.

Shido replied to Sion and Dai's exchange. "Thanks for the vote of confidence, guys." he said sarcastically as he exited the car as well. Rio soon followed and the party entered the diner. After being seated, they were approached by a waitress and asked for their order.

"Are we set on pizza and pie? If we are, I guess the only decisions left are which toppings and what kind of pie?" Shido pointed out.

"Bacon" Daisuke said, wanting that on the pizza. "Pineapple too." Sion added, liking that combination. They also liked the idea of having one of those stuffed crust pizzas but knew not everywhere did that so they didn't bring it up. They both wanted apple pie but weren't sure if they should have both the pizzas and the pies out at the same time or if the pie should come after. There was no doubt that having both before the end of the day was the thing to do, but sometimes getting the timing down of things and how they go together can be a science.

"Pineapple?! You're one of those guys?" Shido commented. At the time, the debate of whether or not pineapples on pizza should be a thing was rampant on social media. To Shido's surprise, Rio backed him up on this one. But he went along with it.

"Yeah Sion, if you do pineapples on pizza, I'm not sure this friendship can work out, man." She said in a joking tone. Despite the silly protests from the two of them, they allowed both orders to go through. Everyone seemed to be ok with the idea of ordering pie after the pizza.

Daisuke tilted her head at Shido's comment, wondering what he meant by him being one of those guys. Even though Sion liked it he wasn't one of those who wanted an insane amount as even knew there was such a thing as having too much of it, so whatever he did get would be reasonable, though he knew there was a different between getting the right amount and being jibbed.

Daisuke poked Shido lightly with a fork that she found. Even if he was joking she was feeling protective of him. Rio sensed this and slowly moved Dai's arm down to calm her. Sion kind got that Shido was messing around, though he hoped nothing bad would happen and let out an "Uhm" when he saw Dai poking Shido with the fork, only to have Rio step in after a couple of light pokes.

Shido didn't anticipate his comment being brushed off. The young man began to jester and explain when no one offered an immediately followup. "You guys should check out social media more often. Kids these days get into pretty heated debates over whether or not pineapples should be pizza toppings. Heh, the thins peopl- Ow!" He let out a yelp as he was poked with a fork. It wasn't a particularly harsh poke and he wasn't hurt or bleeding. Shido's reaction was more surprise than pain.

He didn't offer any immediate follow up or outburst. Having noticed Rio calm Dai and dissuade her from excessive poking. They group continued to wait on their food and Shido smiled to Rio in approval of her stepping in before continuing. "So, uh, you guys eat out often? Since coming to Japan, I haven't eaten out much at all. I should change that"

"Trust me, we're fully aware of it" Sion informs him about the social media comment. "At best it is a mixed blessing if you think about it."

"we try not to" Dai comments. "But sometimes it's hard not to, and if you think about it things are more expensive here than say back where we came from after the conversion. Still trying to get use to everything around here though." She adds that her cousin Tai does own a noodle place somewhere in town, trying to remember exactly where it was but is trying blanks at the moment since the one time she went there she came across it by total chance.

Shido nodded as Sion and Daisuke chimed in one after another and answered him. He was interested in hearing about the noodle place. Who didn't enjoy good noodles? But the conversion piqued his interest.

"So, when you say conversion, what are you referring to exactly?" He had an honest interest in learning more about his friends, but just as he finished asking, the pizzas had arrive.

"Wow that was quick! Now we don't have to die of hunger!" said Rio as the pizzas were served. "Oh! Dai! Don't forget to save room for the pie after this!"

Daisuke decided to answer Shido with a visual explanation, even though food was coming, which for that she went for Sion's wallet. Sion wasn't expecting this but he told her "It's alright." She went through it and pulled out a mix of Canadian and Japanese currency. She did a mental count, as well as some thinking about it before separating it into two pile. Not all of it was used and the rest she put back in the wallet.

She explained to Shido to count what was in each pile. If he did after she would say (if not she would count each pile out to him before saying) that each pile is worth the same if you convert currency rates. "The fact that you did with with food being put in front of you is amazing." He takes the money and his wallet back. She took her wallet and put it between her bust, in the event he decided to sneak hers. "Don't want you trying to sneak mine mister." She smirks as she knew his hand was going into her pocket anyway, though it stayed their for a few more seconds before Rio comments "Don't give him any ideas, though I wouldn't mind seeing where that goes," finishing with a grin.
