Meeting with the Crimson Eye (Phoebe and Seraphim)

Phoebe was expecting Seraphim to grab her foot. This girl was definitely a fighter... probably even had experience outside the ring. Her style was powerful, technical... but at the same time, raw, brutal. Fighting Seraphim was giving her a bit of a rush. Normally, she was able to stay generally calm and controlled, but fighting Seraphim was almost... exciting.

Phoebe attempted to brace herself, to lock her legs and prevent Seraphim from taking her down, but her other knee still throbbed from the blow and soon gave way. Phoebe fell, tripping over Seraphim, her hands slamming into the mat, preventing her face from doing the same. Twisting her head and throwing her violet hair back, she'd glance at Seraphim with determination in her eyes, trying to strike at Seraphim with her free leg.

Her gut ached from the kick she had allowed herself to recieve in order to catch Phoebe's attack, but once again, Seraphim just fought through the pain, her amazing talent for taking it becoming nothing short of amazing as she would decide to even take the next attack coming at her. She had two options, either let go and defend herself, or take the attack so she could deliver one of her own.

Seraphim took the second option.

Fully vulnerable to the attack, Seraphim did no more then tense up as as she took the kick, letting out a growl of pain as Phoebe's blow nailed her right in the side of the ribcage, rattling her, but still not stopping her. She bit the edge of her lips to fight through the pain, even now still clenching Phoebe's ankle, before she would reach out and grab her other leg that just struck her of she could. If Seraphim managed to grab her there, Seraphim would hold Phoebe's legs open, and go for a low blow to strike and even grind her heel into Phoebe's crotch. If she couldn't get a hold, Seraphim would instead start to twist the girl's ankle and try striking the back of her knee of that leg to make it even more difficult to stand. Either way, it seemed that Seraphim wasn't afraid to get brutal or dirty, but she would make sure not to go to far with her partner, telling herself she had to limit herself. Despite knowing this though, it didn't change the fact that she was really enjoying this match, taking the pain like she was wearing a badge of honor.

Phoebe grunted, glaring at Seraphim in a mixture of frustration in awe as Seraphim took another blow to her midsection and managed to grab Phoebe's other leg. This girl and pain seemed to be drinking buddies.

Unfortunately, before Phoebe could react, she found Seraphim pulling her legs apart and twisting up to nail her in the crotch with her heel, eliciting a surprised yelp. Phoebe herself was no stranger to pain... it was hard to live with Elena and not be accustomed to it. But this was something new. Still, she wasn't out of it yet. Gritting her teeth and growling as she fought through the pain, she would attempt to return the favor and grab Seraphim's offending leg with both her hands. If successful, she would try to wrench her legs from Seraphim's grasp and try to apply pressure to whatever she could, Seraphim's ankle or knee, but even if not, she would hope to try to get Seraphim's leg out of her crotch.

It was too early for a finisher, let alone doing her hentai finisher which she was basically engaging in. She wouldn't put Phoebe through that... at least, not for long. And so, Seraphim was debating on going into a submission, or just give her a strike in the leg somewhere before releasing. However, before Seraphim had the chance to, her heel still grinding against Phoebe's crotch, closer to her womanhood, the one-eyed wrestler was taken by surprise at what Phoebe did next. Most people found little strength or resolve to attack or fight back in this move; the strike to the crotch often sapping away their strength, but once again, Seraphim's instincts about Phoebe were dead on, as the girl managed to fight back, latching on to her ankle as she managed to shake off Seraphim's hold.

Phoebe's hands were tightly around Seraphim's ankle, and she cringed in frustration at this, only gritting her teeth and doing what she could to bite back the pain from the woman's grip as she tried to pull back. Putting all her strength in backing away, Seraphim even released Phoebe's ankles before grabbing her own leg in an attempt to yank it from Phoebe's grasp. "..Let go!" She yelled out, desperately trying to break free. Though there was urgency in Seraphim's words, there had never been anger. She didn't let this fight get too far to her head unlike others she participated in. With Phoebe... it felt like something better than just you're normal brawl.

Phoebe smiled faintly as she saw Seraphim finally seem to react. This girl had a tremendous pain threshold... taking quite a few blows to the chest and barely even flinching. While she knew that she hadn't done serious damage, a reminder that this girl DID in fact feel pain was a pleasant one indeed.

However, if she was to team up with Seraphim, Phoebe wanted to know how much she could take. Elena took great joy in finding people's pain thresholds. To her, divining their exact location was art. Phoebe would rather find them and plow right past them. Fights end quicker that way.

To that end, as she felt Seraphim's struggles beginning to loosen her on the Crimson Eye's leg, she decided to lift up her now free legs and bring them down on Seraphim's torso, aiming to attack the spots she had kicked earlier. If she could land the blow and buy her some time, Phoebe would release Seraphim's leg and try to roll away. Mat wrestling wasn't her forte... but being able to fight through considerable pain definitely gave her the ability to go toe to toe on the ground. Still, she wanted to take this fight back to her feet. If she could escape, Phoebe would turn to face Seraphim, rising to her knees almost immediately, and, if she had the time, she would try to get to her feet.

When Phoebe enganged with a thrusted kick and released Seraphim, the blow would hit dead on, causing Seraphim to stumble back, enough to put her momentarily against the ropes. Coughing a few times, she felt a bit of her breath become sapped out of her, as one hand leaned on the ropes while the other cradled around her gut, feeling a clear reminder of the pain Megumi put her through not many days ago. It still ached there, and after Phoebe's powerful blow, it made her insides turn, leaving her gagging and coughing for breath.

She winced while leaning for support with her arm and shoulder into the top rope on the far side of the ring, giving herself a moment to recover as the pain was catching up with her, and she was focusing once again on surpressing it, reminding herself that this was no worse than any other strike she had fallen victem too. Soon enough, she started to stagger into her stance, clearly still trying to conquar the pain as Phoebe was getting up as well. For now, the two were taking a moment to recover, but Seraphim was already formulating a new strategy in mind, she needed to test out a different side of Phoebe, something the woman may not have faced before...

Panting, Phoebe's stared at Seraphim, her steady, piercing gaze watching her every move... She was planning something. What it was... Phoebe was likely soon going to find out. Circling Seraphim cautiously, Phoebe plotted her own course of attack. Seraphim's style was unique and chosen well... she was tough to lock up with, tough to takedown. She was definitely a potent ally... But for now, Phoebe was entirely focused on the battle. Seraphim was an opponent. Nothing more, nothing less.

A strong, graceful, attractive opponent, but an opponent nonetheless.

It wasn't Phoebe's style to try to get cute. She wasn't going to be able to beat Seraphim trying to second guess whatever she had planned, so Phoebe decided to attack once more head on. Closing in cautiously, Phoebe aimed to switch up the game plan, fainting to strike at Seraphim's wounded torso, but quickly switching up and aiming a hook to her jaw. Per Seraphim's request, she pulled the punch just a bit. It'd still hurt though.

Remaining on the defensive, bruised but not beaten, Seraphim took a few breaths, continuing to conquer the pain her body was going through as her adrenaline continued to pump, putting her in a state ready to take on anything. She felt on top of the world when she was in the ring, and her dashingly beautiful and skilled opponent only helped elevate that feeling. She was more than glad at this point she was going to have this girl on her side, she definitely could prove to be a powerful asset later, and... maybe even a friend.

Not letting herself get distracted, ...even if Seraphim did often find herself looking at her beautiful violet locks of long hair, Seraphim raised her fists to her chest and torso, ready to block with her forearms another blow there. She never had learned to take an attack there just right, but like any sort of pain she felt, she quickly managed to get over it. Unfortunately, Seraphim's rosy-red eye widened when Phoebe pulled her punch higher and instead went for her jaw.

*Wham!*

"Gugh!" Seraphim stumbled back, nearly biting her tongue from the blow as she found herself too close to the ropes from before, and fell into them. She wouldn't be long now, but as both hands held her jaw, grunting in pain, there was a brief moment Seraphim was open, her back against the ropes as she tried to shake off the pain that rattled her lower jaw.

Phoebe narrowed her brow in typically muted satisfaction that she was finally able to strike a good blow on Seraphim. Though Phoebe seemed to be calm and reserved whether she was reading, driving, or fighting, on the inside, whenever she was in a fight, an adrenaline rush would take over. It wasn't a high... it was something different, an unnatural focus that overrode everything else just on the actual act of fighting and winning. Even the identity of her opponent tended to not register in her mind. It was a clarity of focus that she enjoyed, if only in small doses.

Still... fighting Seraphim was different... Exciting in a way most fights weren't.

Seeing Seraphim stumble back was an opportunity she was loath to waste. Phoebe would close the distance as quickly as she could manage, trying to block the throbbing pain from her knees as she charged. Phoebe would clasp her hands together in an axe handle, aiming to slam them into Seraphim's stomach, hoping to knock the air out of her. If successful, she would then try to judo flip the, then theoretically doubled over, Seraphim to the mat by her head. Of course, whether Phoebe would be fast enough to capitalize on this brief advantage was to be seen. Her knees were definitely slowing her down at this point.

There was little time for Seraphim to get back to her feet. The pain was something she would shake off in a few moments, once again proving her tolerance, but she didn't have enough time to do so, seeing Phoebe close in on her quickly. Instinctively, she rose her arms by her face, both to help with the pain there, and to block the attack she expected there as she saw both of Phoebe's hands clasp together, and Seraphim expected it to come slamming to her head which she tried to defend against. Had it struck there, Seraphim would have been able to block it, but the attack went much lower than expected, giving Seraphim a run for her money as she was hit hard in the gut. The only sound that came from her was a quick and sharp exhale, her strength fading with that as she sunk to her knees almost immediattly, her eye widened and her mouth agape, desperate to breath like a fish out of water. The blow struck her in the worst way possible, and she felt completely breathless, struggling hard to return the oxygen to her body while both hands clutched her stomach and she stood on her knees.

Once again, Phoebe continued her assualt though while giving Seraphim little time to rest, and before she knew it, Seraphim was thrown over and down to the mat, not even sure what happened as the next thing she knew, her back slammed into the mat and she was looking strait up. Her knees propped up slightly and both of her hands covering her gut, the throw had lifted her sleeveless gray shirt some, exposing the black, full cup bra she wore underneath slightly from underneath. For the moment, Seraphim was still desperately trying to return the air to her lungs, not even registering the pain her back felt fom being thrown like that, and she shu her eye tightly, groaning as she struggled for a breath.
