Meeting with the Crimson Eye (Phoebe and Seraphim)

Phoebe nodded thoughtfully as Seraphim spoke, continuing to hold onto Seraphim's hand so long as she did the same, "Of course. A sharp warrior should always be able to separate words from deeds... to coin a phrase." She continued, "I hope this shall be the start of a fruitful alliance..." She paused, "Though... I hope you're not allying with me because you intend to pick a fight in the near future," She paused for a second, but then winked, adding before Seraphim could say anything, "At least, if you are, it better be a fun one."

Haha, nice~ So this girl even had a little philosophy in her too. She could really grow to enjoy this, the girl seemed to bring out the hobbies and interests Seraphim had always kept hidden, never feeling secure about revealing her more sophisticated side. Even when she winked, Seraphim felt a little upbeat, those eyes of hers remarkably beautiful, enough for Seraphim to want to look into them for a few moments. Putting those thoughts aside though, breaking the handshake, Seraphim did get a smirk that had a hint of deviancy to it when Phoebe mentioned a fight, expecting one sooner than she may have thought, but not on that sort of level.

"Well, actually, why do you think I asked to meet in the gym?" Seraphim said with her hands slowly outstretching, then reaching to the top button of her shirt, starting to slowly undo it. "I wanted a spar; just to understand in case the day comes were I might be fighting alongside ya one day. Eh?" There was a hint of a friendly challenge breaching Seraphim's town, her crimson eye brightening a little as she lightly nudged the girl's shoulder, revealing that as she undid the first button, she had been wearing a sleeveless black t-shirt, perfect for a spar.

"I thought you'd never ask," Phoebe's own eyes twinkled with a lust for battle. Reaching back, she slid off her t-shirt revealing her black and violet sports bra. "I just hope you're worth my time." Phoebe smirked with an unusual amount of emotion to imply that she spoke in jest. Apparently, she was warming up to Seraphim. Approaching one of the empty rings and holding the ropes aside, she beckoned, "Shall we?"

Well now, she didn't expect the girl to jump on it so eagerly. She saw Phoebe in the ring, but she didn't expect her to be the type to become so excited for a battle. Actually, that was a big plus for Seraphim, as she felt like maybe, just maybe she might have a solid sparring partner she could train with every now and the. Though Seraphim did have a slight advantage in knowing the girl's style, it wasn't much.

"Excited now, arn't we?" She said with her own smirk still there, finishing in unbuttoning her shirt. The sleeveless t-shirt was very tight, almost like what they were for biking, really leaving little to wonder about when it came to Seraphim's curves. Though when Phoebe stripped down, just to her sports bra when it came to the waist up, Seraphim's eye widened just a little, not blushing, but close to it when it was hard to miss that incredable bust. 'Shit... and I thought mine was decent.' Just a little envious, Seraphim let it roll off, not wanting to take in her partner's beauty too much before adjusting her eyepatch a little, making her way to thesame spare ring.

"Hey just one favor I got to ask. 'Doc says I need to keep it light around the skull, back of it anyway." Seraphim said this and turned her head, revealing a large, whitch patch hidden away in her hair where her concussion was, but thankfully no stitches. "I won't hit the back of your head, you just don't do the same for mine, everything else is fine of course for the 3-count." Seraphim didn't get herself ready just yet, instead wanting to make sure of this first. When it came to being in a fight, Seraphim held nothing back, and her ability to take damage was like that of a brick wall, but outside, she always kept herself conscious about her body, knowing that if she wanted to function at her best as soon as possible, she needed to respect her body's weak points.

Phoebe nodded, once again getting serious, "I don't normally get so excited... but you seem like someone... unique." She spoke coolly, admiring her partner's form as she disrobed.

As they both entered the ring, Phoebe nodded at Seraphim's request, "Sounds good. I have a request of my own though. I don't normally hold back or ask for such favors, but I... overdid it in my match with Alena and my back is still a bit on the tender side. If you could at the very least pull some of your moves on my spine a bit, they'll probably hurt just the same anyway." She knelt forward, arms behind her head in another yoga stretch.

Unique eh? Seraphim took that as a deep compliment, having hated been the type to follow with the crowd, so finding it an honor to be labeled that way. "And I suppose I can say the same, most people I fight arenâ€t as calm and collected; that sot of confidence being what will shake an opponent before a match even begins." Slowly, Seraphim would nod before starting to get to her stance. She didnâ€t want to do anything to truly injure Phoebe, it wouldn't sit well with their just proposed alliance, and they needed to recover for their matches that could come just around the corner at any day, so letting one another be aware was a bit of a trust in itself. It made her think of those 'I'm going to fall, and you catch me' situations, only here it was 'We're going to fight, don't hit me here.' So in trade, they would both avoid their wounded and tender areas, fair enough Seraphim thought.

Untucking her shirt from her black dress pants, finding them to not be a hindrance, nor the boots for this match as she was more dressed than Phoebe was, Seraphim would start to gain her composure, getting into her stance. Almost immediately, Phoebe would realize that calling Seraphim unique was an understatement, as her stance was something like anyone had ever seen before. Slowly she rose both fists, one closer to her shoulders, the other by her head, both fists clenched and arms bent, clearly an agile boxing stance. But, from the waist down, her legs didn't stand as firm as a boxer's would. Instead, one leg was bent, her touch barely touching the ground as her knee was most dominantly out, clearly the stance for a Mauy Thai fighter. Seraphim had combined both styles it appears, and as she held it with a fluent and poised stance, her body already loosening up as she kept herself ready, she gave a firm nod, her red eye fixated on Phoebeâ€s violet orbs.

"Ready when you are... partner."

Phoebe eyed Seraphim's stance carefully, assuming a less flashy grappling stance of her own, "Intriguing." Her entire demeanor returned to her cool, collected exterior... at least for the time being. "Muay Thai... and a bit of the sweet science. I think I am going to enjoy this partnership." With that, she closed cautiously, aiming to probe Seraphim's defenses with a few light jabs.

That's right, Phoebe's style was like that of a striker and grappler, not showy, but effective. Seraphim remembed what she saw from the woman's match the other day, but she wasn't going to use that against her, she wanted a real, solid fight here. Er... as long as they stick to the agreement of course~

Grinning from the corner of her eye at that compliment, Seraphim tried not to let it go to her head before she decided to take the defensive, quick to react, but not fast enough to deal her own strikes as Phoebe came at her, and Seraphim could only mount a solid but effective block. Both her arms slid closer together protecting her face and neck with her forearms as they were pressed together, taking a few hits, and she also raised her knee, lifting her leg high and close to aid in blocking a strike to her chest, three of her four limbs focused completely on soaking in the attacks. Phoebe's hits connected, but she would feel the density in Seraphim's bones, her block solid and durable.

"Hmph." Phoebe grunted as her blows connected but only with Seraphim's block. Seeing Seraphim raise her leg to block gave Phoebe an idea as the last blow was blocked. Without a break, she immediately tried aiming a kick at Seraphim's waist, where her grounded leg was. If Seraphim's stance wasn't a boast but truly an indication of her style, then Phoebe probably would find Seraphim a match for her in a striking battle... if not worse. Still, she wanted to test that stance, see what Seraphim could do with it.

Her hits were strong, but Seraphim had been through plenty worse. She knew she could take this, and deliver more right back. But for now, Seraphim stuck herself on the defensive, ready to strike back until another attack was coming her way. And that was when she had a simple but effective idea, letting it flow through perfectly in her mind before she acted.

Hardly budging after the block, not even lowering her guard yet, Seraphim found another strike coming her way, and stopped herself from rolling her eye as she took it right on, letting the kick dig into her curvy waist, striking the bone of her hip. Like a tank, Seraphim barely felt the pain from the strike. It wasn't that it was weak, the attack did more than she expected, it was just that Seraphim had built up such a strength to taking blows like that, that she had practically grown numb to the pain. Pulling through with her plan though, Seraphim dropped her leg and her arms a little, looking like the blow had hurt her as she stumbled to the side some. Her fists were still clenched, but she seemed to lower her guard a little, reeling from the blow. Such was not really the case though, as she was hoping to lure Phoebe into a false sense of security before countering the next thing Phoebe threw at her, her crimson eye being the only thing that didn't betray her real intentions as she stil seemed determined.
