Satomi vs. Shizuka. One broken, one breaking in. (complete)

Wow... she never thought she'd make a real friend here, or for that matter, two. This place at first seemed so rowdy, up tight, and everyone had their egos worn like a badge, it was like you couldn't talk to someone without being judged or challenged. But now her opinions of that changed thanks to these two, and she could be here with confidence, feeling like the ring wasn't a place she would be alone any more.

"N-No, I do, of course I do! Th-Thank you!" Satomi would go for the handshake, but then just slipped further and instead went for a hug, expressing herself as she tightly wrapped her arms around Yui's shoulders, holding her close as she could have sworn she felt her eyes tearing up a little. "This.. i-it means more to me than you could imagine. I'm really happy about this. Thank you... Yui-chan, Shizuka-chan." Her heart and soul poured into those words, knowing she had just made her first two friends here in the league, and probably the first two she had in years...

Yui widened her eyes when she got hugged by Satomi. Wow. It really seemed like it was something important for the scientist. The pink haired schoolgirl seemed pretty happy as well. I mean,come on,you dont usually meet with persons like Satomi. She was glad that she could make her happy now. She hugged back the other girl tightly,and then tapped her hand on her back. " Now now. You dont need to thank us. I mean,you're a nice person! You deserve to have friends! " Yui explained to the scientist with a pretty cheerful tune of voice while she nodded,understanding how Satomi was feeling right there.

'Deserve friends...?' Nearly silent, probably unnoticed, Satomi gave a light sigh this comment she heard from Yui, hiding the slight depression and doubt that still wracked her. 'No.. I don't, but thank you.' Thinking about the past for only a brief moment while they hugged, she eventually broke away, forcing a very convincing smile to remain on her face before looking back at Shizuka, still feeling tired and certain that she was too. "I-I guess, than- Er, sorry." Realizing she almost thanked her again, Satomi sweatdropped a little, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly before straitening up. Though she was still in some pain, she felt like she was lightening up now, and should be okay to go now if they wanted. But it felt awkward to go while Shizuka was still somewhat unconscious, kind of... cute, even.

"I must apologize, I probably sound like I don't have a single friend or I'm pathetic, don't I?" She said simply, as if she didn't mind degrading herself at all and accepted the label of being 'pathetic', even if she was more intelligant than anyone else here in the AFW and was more amazing than she gave hersef credit for.

Yui looked up at the other girl. Her fake smile was all that convincing,but Yui simply acted like she was completely fooled by it. But,instead of letting Satomi degrade herself,she would put her hand on her shoulder and give her an advice,a really good one. " Dont be so rude with yourself. I know sometimes you can feel depressed,but there are friends to go through the depression with you."

That was the best advice that ever came to Yui's head. She wasnt really smart,but she was pretty emotional. Her words came right from her heart,not from any formula or ecuation,or anything. Just like Shizuka.

Yui really seemed to know when to say the right things. It helped Satomi gain a little self esteem, as she slowly felt her smile become a little more true, and she nodded towards her once again, feeling a little more reassured. "That.. means a lot to me, I really needed to hear that." Satomi said softly, her own hand reaching to her shoulder and placing it upon Yui's, comfort coming to her as Yui made such contact.

"I'm sorry about this. I just... people normally don't like me since I tend to... dehumanize things, I-I'm not so great with people, and the last person I brought to my lab was frightened so much I never saw her again. And... [size=85:2rri02cp]most people [size=80:2rri02cp]just use [size=75:2rri02cp]me for [size=70:2rri02cp]my work [size=65:2rri02cp]anyway..." Her voice fading a little in the end, Satomi felt like she could open up some, and so she begun to speak about herself a little now, sadly having very little optimistic things to say. Fortunately, Yui made her feel better bout it, and she didn't feel like talking about it wouldn't make her end up the same way she usually had... breaking into tears. This time she felt like slowly but surely, she could really open up to someone.

Shizuka just woke up,blinking several times to clear up her vision. She looked around at what was happening. Satomi and Yui were by her,talking each other. She lifted her upper section really slow,feeling pretty tired and hurt. Her back wasnt bringing her pain now,but she knew it would start to ache soon enough.

Yui turned back to see Shizuka getting back up. The small schoogirl focused her sight on Satomi. It seemed like she heard everything they were talking up to now. And just wanted to make sure of something. " Okay Satomi....Will you come with us or not..? " ....Shizuka was pretty direct when she didnt pay attention to what she says.

Flinching when she heard Shizuka, Satomi gave a small jump in the bench, looking towards her before giving a nervous grin, realizing how jump she was. "Oh, h-hey, it's great to see you're up." She commented, only to hear the question from her new friend. She didn't have to think twice for an answer, already feeling more than certain about her decision with these two, and thn promptly nodded. "Of course, but I'll be taking you to my lab first. I was going to run a few tests to make something to help with your back." With a ring of pride coming to her tone, Satomi was once again letting those thoughts and ideas surface to her mind, almost lost in her theories and equations as she looked off in the distance for the moment.

Shizuka looked amazed at Satomi when she heard that she could help her with her back. She was really happy,and couldnt contain herself to ask. " Wooooow! You can really do that? " She asked with an inncent look in her eyes,like a little child's. She was so adorable that she could be confused with a little girl.

' Hey,wait a second....Why werent the doctors of the hospital this nice with me....? ' Shizuka secretly wondered as she gave Satomi a friendly smirk,and so Yui did. They were both happy that the scientist accepted to be their new friend.

Once again, Satomi found herself mildly embarressed, and just a little shy about admitting her skills. Sure, it was something to be proud of, but she had never spent enough time around people to be complimented about these things, feeling quite flattered for them to be saying such nice things to her. "Well I, I can it's just.. there are risks, and I need to experiment and run some tests and... I.." She trailed off for a moment, not sure how to say this part since it ruined one of her friendships in the past, people thinking she was a mad scientist in the end despite how close they once were. "..I don't think you'll like me once you see the place, you might judge me to be a cruel person.."

Shizuka just looked up at Satomi in the eyes while she talked to her. Her first impression,in and out of the ring was that Satomi was really afraid of other people. She didnt think that people could be her friend.

She opened her mouth to stop the scientist's pessimism. "No. There is only one cruel person in this world. And that person is the one that made me this. I just couldnt hate you even if you end killing me,because I would know that you did it trying to help me,not to hurt me." Shizuka couldnt sound more mature than that. Yui looked strangely at the little youngster. She seemed to be growing up. Little by little,but growing up.
