SS 15 Rewind! Panther Risako Vs. Chris Morgan: Wrestle Angel Battle!

There was a tremendous crash as Risako brought Chris down to the mat. Whipping her head to the side to get her hair out of her face, Risako wasted no time in applying the chickenwing, eager to start wearing Chris down. But Chris was already turning, and managed to snag one of the ropes for a break. Doing her best not to let her irritation show, Risako gave Chris' arm a final, vindictive twist before the ref girl made her let go.

Slowly, Risako stood back up and stepped back. "Get up," she growled at Chris.

Chris gave a sharp yelp of pain as Risako twisted her arm. Not exactly a clean break, and Chris made note of that.

Rising to her feet, Chris didn't bother to reply to the Panther's growl. Instead, once the ref girl cleared out of the way, the blonde rushed forward. At first glance, it would look to the fans as if she was just going in to try and a rushing strike at the Japanese woman's head. But at the last second, Chris would suddenly duck low, attempting a double leg takedown. From there, if she managed to catch Risako, the American would try to quickly roll the Panther over and go for a Boston crab!

Risako's gaze remained icy as she watched Morgan get back to her feet. She started once more to circle Chris, raising her hands in an unspoken challenge for a lockup. She needed no tricks, or deceptions-- all she wanted was a clean match where she could defeat Chris in front of the world once and for all.

Chris, however, had other ideas as she came rushing in. Risako moved to counter her rushing strike, but Chris moved fast, switching at the last second and swiping her legs out from under her. Cursing, Risako twisted in mid-fall, landing on her palms, but Chris had the opening she needed to drop down on her and grab her legs, wrenching them back in a double boston crab!

Gritting her teeth, Risako responded immediately, pushing up with her palms before Chris could lock the hold in. If she managed this, she would try to twist her body sharply and throw Chris off of her, or to reach back and grab for Chris' ankles, hoping to roll her up for a surprise pin!

Giving a loud shout of effort, Chris managed to get Risako over onto her belly after managing to take the purple maned woman down to the mats. However, before she could begin to lay in her submission hold, Risako gave a sharp twist of her body, forcing Chris to take an extra second adjusting her hold. It was time that Risako used to catch one of the American's ankles, pulling her off balance into a roll up pin!

However, before the ref could even count one, Chris gave a mighty buck with her body, forcing her opponent off of her. The blonde would then quickly rise to her feet. Not missing a beat, despite the sudden exchange, Chris would give a yell as she took a quick step forward, lashing out with her foot at Risako's face with a big boot kick as the Asian regained her footing!

Risako didn't expect the surprise roll-up to work so early in the match, and she was right: Chris kicked out, the powerful American throwing Risako off of her almost effortlessly and sending her rolling away. Wordlessly, Risako maintained the roll, springing up to her hands and knees just as Chris regained her footing as well.

Chris, however, was not relenting as she came charging forwards. Risako had to admit, Chris had gotten a bit faster since their last match, as she was quickly forced onto the defensive by a snap-kick, bringing a forearm up to block the blow. Chris had been packing a lot of strength into the blow, but Risako took the opportunity to spin, aiming to get in close and jab an elbow into Chris' face. It if managed to stun the blonde, then Risako would instantly follow up with a butterfly kick into the back of Chris' head!

Chris allowed herself a moment to savor the feeling of her boot crashing into Risako, even if the blow was partially blocked by the Asian.

However, her former mentor managed to bounce back, slamming her elbow into the blonde's face. Reeling, Chris then fell victim to Risako's follow up kick, the crowd cheering at the sound of their favorite's foot hitting the larger woman's skull.

Reeling, Chris went down to her hands and knees, shaking her head to try and clear out the dazed feeling brought on by the blow's impact.

Risako saw Chris crash down onto her hands and knees, and took a few seconds to stalk around her as the crowd cheered. A part of her wanted to follow up on the attack relentessly, but another part was content to leave Chris a few seconds as a reminder that Risako was no one to be trifled with.

She didn't leave Chris hanging long. Running past the downed American, she would bounce off the ropes and come running back, twisting around for a fast and brutal spinning kick at Chris while she was getting up.

Chris looked up in time to see a flash of purple, Risako's hair, as the Japanese woman went running past her. Instead of trying to rise to her feet, the blonde turned to face the Panther as she came off the ropes at a run. As the kick came arcing towards her, Chris managed to get her arms up blocking the strike. The impact generated was strong, as the American expected it to be. But still, Chris had set herself against the blow.

*Now!* she thought to herself.

Pushing against Risako's kicking leg while it was against her arms, Chris would look to send the Panther reeling back off balance while rising to her feet. Then the Californian would explode forward, lashing out with a running lariat at the Asian!

Panther had thought...or rather, hoped...that Chris would stay down as she ran past her. Sure enough, the American seemed slow to respond as Risako bounced off the ropes, raising a boot to nail her shapely foe in the head.

She should have remembered that Chris was more resilient than she appeared, and quicker too. In a flash, Chris caught Risako's boot inches from her face. Not bad Risako thought to herself, noting that Chris seemed to have improved substantially since their last bout. Without skipping a beat, Risako spun, aiming to use her position to nail Chris with an enziguri kick...though if she failed, then she would be nailed and floored, hard, by Chris' lariat.

It seemed to Chris as if Risako was caught off guard by the American's resilience as the Japanese woman froze just long enough for Chris to rise to her feet.

Risako appeared to be measuring the distance for an attack when suddenly Chris released the Panther's leg and attacked, striking with a hard clothesline that sent her down to the mats. The blonde knew she had beat Risako to the punch there, the other woman misjudging how quickly Chris could recover and attack. If she had to guess, Chris figured that if she had delayed a heartbeat longer, Risako would have struck with an enziguri to the side of her head. After taking a similar boot in the head from Valley Doll on her first match back, Chris wasn't relishing the thought of taking such a hit again. Although, against someone of Risako's caliber, the Phenom knew eventually the Panther's claws would eventually strike their mark.

Reaching down, Chris looked to grasp a hold of Risako's head and use it to pull the other woman back to her feet before attempting to irish whip her towards one of the corners.....
