Demand Match: Adrian Knight vs. Makoto Takeda - Date Night

This was the first time Mako had ever used a body scissor during a fight, as far as she could remember. Not exactly her style, she was more of an upper body sort of girl. But, hey, if it worked, it worked. She had Adrian in a sort of reverse dragon sleeper, and it was doing a great job of keeping her safe. And it would give her an awesome opening for a joke about him getting in between her thighs, later on.

It was only a temporary fix, though. He was already trying to squirm his way out, and her grasp was loosening the more he struggled. He was too strong to hold forever. He'd get out in a few seconds, and then the body scissors wouldn't matter - with the superior position, he could ground and pound her skull into oblivion. She desperately needed that not to happen.

Mako was taking a risk, but she did the last thing he was probably expecting and let go of the hold, uncrossing her legs and opening up her arms. She tried to give him a hard shove in the chest while she quickly scooted backwards, trying to get out from under him before he could put two and two together to equal her face getting caved in.

It was much more of a struggle than he'd expected.She'd caught him cleanly with the submission attempt. Both his neck and his body were being tightly constricted, slowly sapping away at his reserves of energy as he struggled in her embrace. But the more he struggled without success, the more frustrated he became. He gave up trying to pry his way out of her grasp. She'd simply gotten him wrapped up too close, and too tightly to give him any truly effective escape. And his face was quickly turning red within her improvised choke.

His hands released her arms and, instead, began rocketing blows into her ribs, hoping to weaken her resolve and make it harder to keep him in her python-like embrace. But he only had time to take a few shots before he found the pressure suddenly relinquished. "Son of a bitch..." He groaned and coughed just a bit once she'd let go, his sides aching from the pressure being suddenly released. The couple of seconds he took to recover gave her just enough time to scoot back away from him. Watching her carefully, he slowly pushed himself back to his feet, ready to turn this back into a striking game. She obviously needed to be worn down more before trying to take it to the ground.

Mako managed to get away, but her escape was hardly free of Scots. Her ribs got a nice little taste of the damage a real MMA fighter could do, and the pain made her wince as she backed away. She held her sides, grunted as she felt the sore ribs. She typically didn't mind taking the damage, but Adrian hit surprisingly hard for a guy his size. He had about thirty or so pounds on her, but from the way he punched, she would have guessed it was more like sixty.

Her body wanted to take a moment to gather her breath, but she couldn't afford to let up on him, not even for a second - she had to keep the pressure on him, he was just too good on the offense for anything else. She spit off to the side and ran towards him in a head on charge, sweat flying off her shoulders as she barreled down the corridor. She drew her fist back, looking like she was going to try and trade blows with him - not the best idea with their height difference, at least not until she was safely inside his range.

That's why she didn't punch him at all. Instead, she raised up her boot and tried to kick him in the thigh when she was close enough, going for a fake out and hoping to push him closer to some rather nasty looking pipes jutting out from the wall nearby.

He didn't chase after her just yet, instead, opting to let her get back out of his range. He had reach on her anyway so backing up didn't seem like the best idea she'd had. But he too, wanted a moment to breathe and recover. He was recovering from the pain quickly but, the extreme heat of the place was also taking it's toll, on both of them, he suspected. He removed the, now sweat-soaked hoodie and tossed it aside. "Not bad... but I'm just warming up." He said, wiping the sweat from his brow.

He watched her carefully as she went back on the move and slammed his gloved fists together, inviting her to come get another taste of what they could do. Seeing Mako's fist rear back for a headlong haymaker, he threw up a block and stepped in, ready to counter with a right hook. But the punch didn't come. Instead, her foot slammed into his thigh, forcing him to stumble back, off balance, and drop to one knee. He shifted to all-out defense then, expecting her to follow her attack aggressively.

As Adrian dropped to his knees, he looked like he was expecting her to take the fight to him. He brought up his defenses, battened down the hatches and prepared for the worst. She couldn't disappoint him, could she? That'd be downright unladylike. ""Warming up?"

Kicks and unorthodox attacks weren't her typical style, but she couldn't knock them if they worked. She needed to bring something new to the table, after all, find an edge to cut him up with. She decided to stick with the strategy for know and leaped up the second her foot came down from the kick, grabbing hold of a pipe above her head. She swung forward like she was on a jungle gym and put all the lower body strength she could muster into kicking at him with both heels. She might not have much weight, but she was good at making the most of it. "I'm already burning. Keep up."

He resisted the urge to tackle her to the ground once more once she'd gotten both feet on the ground again. Not to mention he was slightly wary of taking things to the ground with her after that last painful hold of hers. If he took her to the ground, he needed to do so carefully. Good thing too. If he had, he'd have likely taken her swinging kick right in the face and that would surely have knocked him out instantly.

He grinned when she leaped up to grab the pipe. He'd been watching, waiting for her follow-up attack and, sure enough, she didn't disappoint. "Too slow..." He said with a smirk as he stepped in toward her, but slipped to the side past the double-legged kick and moved to wrap an arm around both legs to pin them to his side before dropping an elbow down at her midsection in an attempt to make her lose her grip and drop harshly to the ground on her back.

And that's what she got for trying to be a little fancy. Figured. Next time, she'd just boot him in the face and be done with it.

Mako would have given him a snappy comeback about her being 'slow', probably a little innuendo about taking it steady under the sheets. Before she could even hope to belt that little gem out, though, he'd dodged the kick and was in the process of slamming her into the ground like a dirty rug.

Her back hit the metal grating hard, digging into the flesh through her sweat-soaked camoflauge shirt. She arched up on impact, crying out while her arms flailed at the sides. The itty-bitty bruiser tried her best to squirm away, but that was about all she could do. She needed a moment to gather her senses after a drop like that, and Adrian didn't seem like the generous type. Not in a match, anyway.

It was nice to finally know what it's like to fight someone with the same proclivity to get a bit overzealous. It was clear then, that he'd have to work on that for himself.

He returned his mind to the task at hand and though he did almost feel sorry for being so rough. Just enough that he kept his retort about her 'burning up' comment to himself. But not enough to relent. She had, after all, chosen this setting and rule-set for herself. But damn... that had to hurt.

He followed up quickly moving to capitalize on the advantage he'd opened for himself. He leaned in and tried to flip her over onto her stomach. If he managed to do so, he'd straddle her lower back and lean in to coil his arms around her neck into a tight sleeper hold.

As soon as she had enough sense to do it, Mako brought her arms up, expecting some good grounding and pounding. That had been the go-to move the last two times he'd gotten her down, after all. Why mess up a winning formula?

She underestimated Adrian's creativity. Instead of taking the obvious route, he flipped her over with all the ease of a warm pillow, chest down, putting her cold side up in the air. The next thing she knew, his arms were around her throat and breathing became a hard proposition.

She fought off the panic and tried her best to fight her way free, giving him all the grief she had to dole out, which was no small amount. One arm went to his grip, scratching at his forearm through her gloves and trying to pull away. The other arm worked on his side, sending a few elbows into his ribs while she squirmed about beneath him. Her legs kicked out uselessly behind her, trying to push forward and failing.

His arm snaked around and managed to slip under her chin and across her throat tightly. He knew she'd finally come to her senses when she began thrashing around in his grasp, but he was determined not to let go. It was time to end this, he'd decided. Or at least to attempt to, anyway. It did seem she had some fight left, but he was in a vastly superior position at the time.

He grimaced as he felt her clawing at his arm, leaving deep red lines across his skin. Luckily, with him being completely behind her, her elbows lacked the power they would have if she'd been in a better position. "I'm sure this sucks for you... Feel free to tap out any time." He offered as he pulled up tighter on the choke in punishment for her struggling as he began to try and hook his ankles around hers to trap them. He was setting up for one of his signature moves The Rack.
