Abbey Abraxas vs Kyo Akamatsu

After several minutes of the two grappling on the mat, Kyo finally broke the deadlock with a well-timed punch to Abbey's side. Admittedly, he felt a little guilty about doing so, as he had wanted nothing more than to engage in a friendly mat battle with Abbey, seeing as she both strong and skilled in groundstyle fighting. But he had to stay focused on the match rather than allow himself get distracted. Besides which, he figured, he could always challenge her to a friendly spar at a later date...

As Abbey broke the hold, Kyo rolled up to his feet, his face flushed with red after that close bit of grappling. As Abbey rolled to her feet, he flashed her a grin. "Oh, I'm glad you're enjoying it so far," he replied. "I hope, though, that you won't mind too terribly when I win." Rotating his shoulders, he began to circle Abbey, raising his arms in a grappling stance. "Come on, let me see how well you fight instead of flirt, Abbey-san."

He wasn't normally one for trash talk, but something about his opponent put Kyo right in his comfort zone. The fact that Abbey wasn't interested in him at all meant that he didn't have to worry about her playing on his feelings. As he circled her, he kept vigilant, readying himself in case Abbey had any tricks up her sleeve...

Abbey stood up, rubbing her sore side as Kyo got up as well. She smiled at Kyo when he started to tease. "Oh, I won't have to worry about that.' She said. "But I appreciate the concern." Abbey then raised an eyebrow. "Oh? is THAT what I was doing? Well then." She said as she bent her knees and eyed Kyo. "I'll try and be more serious so you don't get mistaken."

Abbey charged at Kyo and when she was close, launched herself at the boy to try and drop kick him hard in the chest.

As Abbey launched herself at Kyo, he did the same, eagerly springing forwards to propel himself at her. As the two of them closed the distance with one another, Kyo watched her, waiting to see if she would try a clothesline or anything similar. The moment Abbey sprang forward in a drop kick, Kyo's tense reflexes kicked in, and he ducked low, hoping to evade her drop kick altogether.

If he managed this, then he would spin around as he ran past Abbey, and the moment she hit the mat, he would turn and try nail her in the back with a drop kick of his own.

Abbey thought she could really nail Kyo with a drop kick. She was so eager that she must have sailed too high. When she saw Kyo duck there was already nothing she could do. She hit the mat hard, ready to bounce up and spin around. unfortunately, before she was even on her knees, the snapping kick arced into her back. Abbey's eyes widened and she crumbled to the floor, raising her butt into the air as she flattened her chest against the mat, her arm snaking back behind her to press against the pain in her back.


It was a nice kick, but she couldn't just sit around thinking about the pain as she tried to push herself away from Kyo's general area with her legs.

Kyo's move was successful, as he managed to evade Abbey's attack and hit her with a hard counter that sent her sprawling. He stood back up and allowed himself a triumphant smile. "Nice try," he said, "but I'm not so easily fooled."

Not bothering to wait for a reply, Kyo would grab at one of Abbey's arms and lift her to her feet, before whipping her hard towards the ropes. The moment she rebounded, he would run to intercept her with a hard drop kick of his own.

Abbey was crawling away when she felt the hard tug on her arm. Her eyes widened and she was forced up off balance and with a great show of strength, hurled towards the ropes. Abbey lowered her head, running and picking up speed as she turned her body and crashed back first into the ropes, springing off of them and charging back towards Kyo only to be almost blindsided with the drop kick that sent her caterwauling end over end until she crashed back into a heap back near the ropes.

Abbey groaned and rolled onto her back. She stared up at the arena lights, dazed for the moment as one arm flopped onto her aching stomach.

So far, things were going well. He had the match well under control after struggling against Abbey's sheer strength initially, and now the girl's comparative inexperience was beginning to show. As Abbey sprawled over on the far side of the ring, Kyo stood back up, ran a hand through his hair, while in the background his fans chanted his name. Abbey ought to have taken reassurance that some people, at least, were cheering her on.

Standing back up, Kyo strode towards Abbey and grabbed her by the arm. "You wanted a serious match," he breathed, "so that's what you're getting." He wouldn't wait for a reply before he clinched in close, locking one arm tightly around Abbey's skull in a crushing headlock, giving her a nice tight squeeze against his fit abs. He wouldn't hold her in this hold long, however, before he grabbed the back of one of Abbey's thighs and fell back, aiming to nail the American girl in a quick and effective suplex.

Abbey clutched her stomach when Kyo roughly hauled her up again once more. She could hear the crowd cheering for Kyo. They should, she was just a rookie. She didn't necessarily come for the accolades though. With hard work, they'd come in time. She came for this, the sort of position Kyo was putting her in to see if she could really stand up in a match against a guy.

Abbey grunted when Kyo grabbed her by the arm and put her in the tight side headlock. She pushed her hands against his abs and pushed her butt out to try and escape as she panted against his bare side. Her butt touched the ropes and she curled her leg around the bottom rope as she felt him try and tug her body upwards. She held fast and tried to throw a stif and quick punch into his side just to keep him from trying to muscle her away from the ropes.

"Don't mistake pain for lack of enthusiasm!" She growled and wrapped her arms around Kyo, trying to lift HIM off the ground enough to drop him into an atomic drop.

For a moment, Kyo gave Abbey a nice demonstration of his own strength as he manhandled her towards the ropes. Before he could even whip her across the ring, however, he felt a sudden tug of resistance as she snagged the ropes with one leg. Surprised by this escape, he cursed under his breath and balled a fist, and was about to send a few stiff shots into her head to stun her. Before he could even do that, though, he felt Abbey's grip around his waist tighten, and suddenly he was being lifted off his feet.

"Oh cra--" was all he managed to say before Abbey brought him down, hard, on her extended knee. White-hot pain shot up between his legs, and he gave a stifled cry of pain before he thudded down onto his side, curled up in agony. He lay at Abbey's feet, utterly paralyzed and angry at himself for leaving himself open to such a painful attack. "Shi...shimatta..."

It felt good to counter Kyo as she felt her knee drive into his tailbone. She dropped him immediately and looked down, standing over him as she hopped onto the lower rope and bounced on it, her ample chest wobbling up and down as she looked at Kyo with a smile.

"I'm only going to say this once. If you AREN'T giving me everything you've got, THEN I'll be pissed."

Abbey used her momentum from bouncing on the ropes to launch herself up to try and slam her boots down hard into Kyo's chest.
