A Chance Pre-Match Encounter... (For Tai)

Johnâ€s face went a little bit flush as he realized what he had said, “Well, I mean, I meant you look like a better fighter….not that you donâ€t look more attractive, I mean you do, but, well I mean…uhm…..yeah.” John squeezed his eyes shut for a second, letting out a sigh. He hadnâ€t been tongue tied like that in a long time.

After a second, John recovered. “Good thing Iâ€m so articulate, otherwise I might confuse you.” Johnâ€s voice returned to his normal, deep, resonant, and confident tone. “But your right, itâ€s making tension a joke…wait,”

Johnâ€s face went flush again when he heard her imply she wouldnâ€t mind something erotic with him. “Uhm…well, all right, that happened.” He said with a laugh. He realized what she meant, but teased her a bit with his laugh. “Slow down there, buddy.” He said with a chuckle.

Hawkeye blushed a little before laughing with him.


"Looks like the cat's got both our tongues today. Seriously though, it's nice to see a guy here who isn't a porn star and is looking to fight girls his own size. Half the tougher guys here only seem to fight these "Kawaii" sized girls. It's weird. I mean, why can't they just man up and face somebody bigger? Instead, they brag about how their totally the best ever because they can beat up the local schoolgirls. I bet if any of them faced a real fighter, they'd lose. Man or woman. Not that any of them have the balls to face another guy either though. They seem to think they'd catch cooties or some crap."


She said, chuckling a little.


"I'd like to see a guy like you win the belt and change some things around here, ya know? Get some fighting spirit into these guys!"

John was still laughing up until Hawkeye mentioned going for the title so a real fighter could have it.

John had to smirk a bit at that. “Let me tell you something, Iâ€m glad you said that. Next week Iâ€m going for that belt, and you know what? The guys got like 40 pounds and 3 inches on me, heâ€s a big mess of muscles….and heâ€s still doesnâ€t have the balls to go up against someone close to his size, heâ€s bullied the brass into letting some girl represent him by proxy.”

John sighed, sitting back up straight on the bench instead of leaning on his arms as he was before. “Itâ€s really fucking embarrassing, for him I mean. And you know what, for me to. I donâ€t know if itâ€s because they canâ€t give the title away fast enough or because they donâ€t care, but if I win I know Iâ€m going to feel like I didnâ€t really win. I wonâ€t have actually beaten the champ.”

“So he thinks heâ€s going to catch The Gays, thatâ€s fine. But, hey, if I get the belt your more than welcome to get a crack at it. Thatâ€d be fun.”

Hawkeye scoffed.

"Geez, what a tough champion. You'd think the brass would look into that. What's the point in even having a title if the champion decides to duck every challenger that could put up a semi decent fight against him? No wonder everybody told me to join friction, stuff like what your telling me makes the entire Tension league look bad, if you ask me."

"On the bright side, since your not facing him you don't have to worry about catching the pussy from him!"


She chuckled, before a ringing in her pocket alerted her to a text message on her cell phone. Reading it real quick, she shook her head.

"I'm afraid I have to run, some business thing to take care of."

She sighed, standing up and holding her hand out to John


"Make me a deal, one former soldier to another: Whoever you face for the belt, go whoop their ass and show everybody what a REAL fighter looks like, alright?"

After his promise, she would turn to walk out, waving a farewell.

"Look forward to seeing you in the ring!"
