Side bet: The looser will temporarily adopt the winners hair color (John would be purple, Heather would be red). A wig may be used in place of coloring, but the looser must wear the wig for longer.

This thing looked like a nightmare. The ring had been transformed into a stark and imposing battleground. The ropes were gone, replaced with strips of taught barbed wire, with vertical strips of it running through the new ropes. Wooden boards with concertino wire stapled to them, chairs wrapped with barbed wire, barbed wire bats, and a whole assortment of weapons “enhanced” with the sharp wire.

And this was a friendly match.

John had met his new friend Heather through his old friends, Amanda and Ro. Theyâ€d got along incredibly well, but the two of them were quiet strong and proud individuals. Playful, good natured banter soon got the two of them talking. Soon, they were challenging each other to a friendly fight.

After a little more banter, and more than a little prodding from Amanda and Ro, they decided that theyâ€d have the most fun in a hardcore match…and eventually, Heather suggested the barbed wire massacre and John accepted.

Itâ€s also at this point when they made their little side bet, though it was more a joke than anything.

This time, he had wisely decided not to go shirtless. He came out wearing an older tee-shirt, blank and black, faded with age. Something he didnâ€t mind getting torn up. On his legs were his tough, rugged green trousers, meeting his boots. John raised his hands, to the cheers of the crowed. The new number one contender was getting pretty popular pretty fast.

In many ways, though, John felt cheap for that. He hadnâ€t had a lot of matches under his belt, and in the tournament heâ€d been paired with a nincompoop and a cheater, he finally won through DQ. Perhaps that was why John accepted such a rough match, he wanted a worthy opponent and a real match. Win or lose, this would be a hell of an experience.

Soon John made his way down the ramp, taking in every weapon as he played it up t the crowed, hollering and raising his fist when they cheered. Finally, John climbed into the ring, avoiding the wire. He once fell into a pile of this stuff, while wearing much more protective clothing. He had to admit, the wire was a little nerve racking. Getting to the corner, he waited for Heather to appear.
