Spray Paint

Johnny wasn't sure if he'd succeeded or made things worse, really. But when Cassie wrapped her arms around him, Johnny grinned. His strong arms wrapped around her head, enveloping her in a comforting way.

"It's cool, man."

She could have all the time she needed. Johnny was just glad he could help. If he did. He still wasn't really sure.

"Johnny?" She said. She wanted to ask him did you mean what you said? Or what he didn't say, did he mean what she thought? She clung to his solid, muscular body, and was comforted. He felt sturdy, dependable. Like she'd never have to worry about what he did or what he would do, unlike his brother. She felt safe, and yet she couldn't keep her hands from quivering.

"I'm a bad person," she said. "But... I just can't take being so alone."

Johnny's smile disappeared when Cassie spoke. He opened his mouth but then shut it. She kept saying she was a bad person but she wasn't.

"You're not alone, shorty." He said. "But I get what you're saying and junk. Friends are cool but you want someone special." Johnny couldn't help but shrug. "But... I just got lucky and junk. All that stuff, I ain't got a clue, man. Sorry, Squirt." He said frowning.

"Johnny..." Cassie felt the feeling welling up inside her, the natural pull that drew her to Johnny and the intoxication that proximity provided. She had to do something.

She looked up into his eyes, still clinging tightly to him, and her face was a plea that begged Johnny for something unnamed. Her soft lips parted, and she held her breath for a split second. In that moment anything was possible, and it was wonderfully terrifying.

Her hands closed into fists and she closed her eyes in preparation. "You have to go," she said. "Please." She took several steps back and tried to look away, but her eyes stayed fixed on Johnny's.

"I can't be rejected by both Higurashi's. And Taylor would probably kill me faster than I could if I kissed you. Which... is what I'll do if you stay here, so..." She forced a weak smile, and then turned and walked back into the kitchen to busy herself putting away dishes.

Johnny's cheeks reddened when Cassie spoke but he remained unchanged in his lax stature. "Uhh... Alright man." Johnny said and lifted up his hand to scratch his head. "Like, I'll be seein' ya and junk." He said, looking down a little nervous.

he then looked up. "Sorry... and junk..." He felt he should say. He then turned around to leave. "Hey... Squirt..." He said, turning back and smiling at Cassie. 'You're gonna find someone cool man. Don't sweat it. You're too cool for all that.And... you know... you should talk to some people and junk. People are cool, ya know?" Johnny's eyes lit up. "Oh! And... you should look into gettin a juicer man. It'll change yer life." Johnny shook his head and waved as he stepped out of the door. "Later, dude."

Johnny exited quickly and closed the door. He stood at the entrance and pulled out his phone.

Talked 2 Cass 2day. guess she's not gay.

After he hit send, Johnny looked at his text. Maybe that wasn't the best thing to send to Taylor but it was probably good enough. He shrugged and lifted up his head. It would be a nice run out to the AFW facility.
