Usually I don't mind Mr. Affleck, he's just there and plays in movies I don't watch(or directs them). But in this case, he's not contend to just ruin Daredevil, he has to do a Batman stint too...

Everyone said Michael Keaton would be a terrible Batman, and he ended up being great.

Everyone said Heath Ledger was a terrible choice for the Joker, and well...we know how that went.

Let's give it some time and see him in action before we down cry him, mmkay? ;P

People need to stop blaming Affleck for Daredevil.....

That movie would have sucked no matter who was Daredevil, cause it had a horrible script.

I will say the same as Alex though, How about we just give it a bit of time, how about we start hating after he sucks, If he even will suck.

It's also a sequel to Man of Steel.....soooooooooooo what do you people expect ? That it will be good ? Pfffft BUAHAHAHA!

And the director's cut of Daredevil was pretty good. Not great, but pretty good.

Ben QAfflek wasn't the reason Daredevil was bad. Nor would it have been the reason it was good if it had been good. He was as about as placeholder as it could get. So, I guess if you want this next batman to hold serve, then he's the right choice. Which, considering it's a Superman movie and not a Batman movie, I guess that's what you DO want. You certainly don't want supes being outshined in his own movie.

But you can't have a weak Batman either.

Heath Ledger had already made very good and acclaimed movies before becoming the Joker(Brokeback Mountain). Didn't get the hate for him either.
Keaton already had 3 acting awards and was ok in Beetlejuice, although I agree that he was probably a surprise for most people with his very good performance, also having help from Nicholson who was excellent as Joker too. Michael Keaton was awesome as Batman and is probably still the best Batman, although Bale was rather good too(as he was in Equilibrium)
Of these 3, Affleck has the most accolades but simply strikes me in the same way as Matt Damon, a bubblegum movie actor at heart. A solid actor, but nothing to write home about. Misses the intensity of Ledger or Nicholson, not as good as an actor as Keaton or Walken(Max Shreck in Batman Returns).

But it was probably not the fault of Affleck only that Daredevil was that weak, and sadly it's still better than Elektra. Good part of the blame for that also falls on the script and Farell and Garner too, Bullseye for example totally blew in that movie. Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin was the only saving grace of that movie and probably the best actor at that set.^^

Would have rather liked to see a guy like Thomas Jane(The Punisher) in that role.

too bad MCD was playing The Rose and not The Kingpin ~.~ though, I guess that still is technically a Fisk.

you don't want a gritty batman in a Superman movie though. That's the one bonus I think Afflek has in all this. If someone's going to try and play Bale batman in the Superman movie, it's not going to work. At least, IMO.
