How Curiosity Killed the Cat (so to speak/ for IndigoDragon)

Cougra glanced at the plates and nodded, "Yeah, I think they suit the occasion best. After all, it's nothing too fancy just casual." Then she blushed in hearing Yoshiro's compliment. "Thanks, Yoshiro. You and Anampo are good friends too. I would like to be a part of your "family" too."

"My...Family?" The bird asked,puzzled.Was Cougra referring to the others that came from her hometown? "Them,a family? Heh...Then we dont get any more dysfunctional than this,do we?"

"I guess not," Cougra chuckled back. "By the way, where are your parents? Are they still at home?" She positioned each plate so it looks presentable.

Yoshiro paused for a moment. "During the war,J led the kids,including me,to go down the mountains.He,Conza and most of the teens and adults stayed back and fought.So...I dont exactly know."

"Oh..." Cougra felt bad bringing the topic up for the kids and teens don't know whether their parents survived or not. "Sorry I asked." She helped set up the cups and napkins so they too can be presentable.

"Its fine.A good question....I mean,Im sure they could still be.I put my belief in Jay up to that point.I never asked him,and he hasnt brought it up.Gonna give him time before I do bring it up."

"Good idea, gotta give the guy time." As soon as they finished, Cougra heard the doorbell ring and checked if it's the same company they called for food. "Hmm, looks like dinner will be served now!"

Yoshiro clapped. "Yes! Bring in the pizza." She handed Cougra the money that she needed to pay off the delivery,and for a tip.She walks to the fridge to get out some soda for them.Then,looked at Anampo.Still sleeping.

Cougra tok the money and said, "Thanks, can you get Anampo up please? We have to eat now." She would thank the delivery man for the pizza and drinks and gave him the money in return. She would carry the food over to the center of the table.

After the food was paid for,and Cougra set it down,Yoshiro called her over. "I have a devious idea.Which way should we wake her up? Holding her in a submission,or tickling and licking those rabbit feet?" It was late,and this was the time that things started to get crazy...
