Each and Every Step

Taylor breathed a deep, cleansing smile and smiled at Adrian. Since retiring, she'd seen a lot of changes in her life. Important changes, that opened doors and gave her hope. She always thought that nothing was impossible, but to actually make some degree of peace with Adrian awakened in her a catharsis that reached down deep. It felt good when reality and hopefulness overlapped.

"Pizza," she said. "Not even the healthy kind. I don't know if this will help you with Natasha, but... maybe it will. If we can get you to stop being so crazy and hateful in matches, then you can actually use the head on your shoulders, and that's good. You're pretty smart, ya know." She u-turned and lead Adrian back toward the pizza shop. "I'll buy, but only under the condition that you'll be my friend."

Adrian rubbed the back of her hand across her eyes and took in one last sniff. Getting it all out like that had definitely done the both of them the world of good, and even though Adrian still thought of herself somewhat as the same cheating psycho that always screwed up everything, she had changed. Hopefully for the better, "Well... it's good for our friendship that I forgot my wallet, huh?" She looked back up trying to throw out a smile. She'd have to get in contact with Cassie soon, inform her that she was permitted 3 minutes of victory dance time for being right about the two becoming friends.

"But seriously, I think I left it back at the house."
