Layla would say to Howie,"You'll be assigned to the Tension dorm where men stay. You'll get a good room and a few of my friends will take good care of you."

Then the nurse popped back in and said, "Five more minutes, Howie."

Janet nodded as Layla explained what would happen to Howie. “The way Tension does things isnâ€t exactly the same as our division—but itâ€s not too different. Youâ€ll do fine.” She smiled. “Like I said, Iâ€ll definitely be cheering for you.”

"But I th-thought you said you-you didn't want to-to see m-men fighting." Howie was unsure about what Janet told him. Will she really cheer for him or not?

Janet sighed and sat up again. She was getting a little restless, being confined to this hospital bed for such a long time. “Well, I may or may not actually watch any of your matches. But know that I want you to do well and win them all!” she said, giving him a smile. She could only be honest—she wouldnâ€t really be too interested if she turned on a menâ€s match. But she really did want Howie to reach his potential.

Howie blushed again when Janet told him that she wants him to do well. Although Janet is gay, Howie's feelings for her still hasn't changed. Maybe one time, he can ask her for a date, but there's no time to think about that now. "Thanks, J-Janet. I'll be ch-cheering for you and L-L-Layla too."

Then the nurse came in and said, "One more minute, Howie."

Janet nodded and smiled at him. It was obvious that he had a pretty sizeable crush on her. She felt a little bad for him, in that regard—nothing would really ever come of that, as she was happily together with a lovely girl, though she would be happy to be his friend. She supposed it might be a while before they would see each other again, though.

“I hope that all of us can do well,” Janet said, looking from Howie to Layla and back. “Well, I guess this is goodbye for now. Good luck out there, Howie.”

Layla and Howie nodded with Janet in agreement of wanting each other to succeed at their very best. Then Howie said, "Okay, I-I guess I'll s-s-see you later th-th-then." She would come over to Layla and hugged her in saying goodbye.

Layla said in her hug, "Good luck out there, Howie. I know you'll do great."

Then Howie came over to Janet and hugged her as well. "Good l-luck in your m-ma-matches, Janet."

Though she very much disliked touching guys, Janet made an exception for Howie, wrapping her arms around him and giving him a big, friendly hug. “Good luck in yours, Howie,” she said, waving goodbye as he made his way out the door.

Howie waved goodbye as he walked out the door and slowly closing it behind him. Layla would pause for a moment before looking at Janet and says, "I think he likes you."

Janet looked back over at her new friend and nodded. “Yeah, I sort of got the same impression,” she said. “I feel sort of bad about that…like I told you, I donâ€t really like boys, and Iâ€m never going to swing that way again. Iâ€m happy to be friends with him, though.”
