[quote="Harrier":2jh63yi4]In my opinion:
1. Don't remove the ranking system. Modify it if it causes problems with it's win/loss philosophy, maybe in the form of evaluation of matches and activity of the user like you suggested in point 3.
2. Collaborative is fine and dandy. But please don't make match outcomes predictable, it's also one of the reason why real wrestling suffers, nothing is more boring than already knowing who is winning this or that with a high percentage of happening(Cena wins, lol). A title match would be absolutely pointless for me to write if I know from the start that I would win or loose it, and writing would surely suffer. If clash of directions is a problem, decide the outcome by chance(coin flip maybe), or let the mods bok it after an evaluation of the match.
3. I like idea Nr. 3 if it supplements the ranking instead of replacing it. No complains from me here, although that's bound to be work for mods.^^
4. So you would remove the public list and make it an intern list? Even if no real listing is applied, the only way to avoid having a pecking order again is a selection of the contenders by chance, and that's probably bound to be a trainwreck waiting to happen when two people that can't write a good match together are paired.
Adding something not on the list, don't forget the smaller belts like Kawaii and Entropy. I am pretty sure that both are worth fighting for in the perception of many players and have to be featured more often, like the hardcore and the tag team belt.

The rankings have been causing trouble for almost a year now, and people have been requesting for them to removed for almost as long. Glad to see them finally out of here.

The directory isn't necessarily exclusively for the Main Title. It's more of a way to show who, of the hundreds of characters, are the ones that will be available for use in main sotrylines and those who want to be pushed for belts. Or at least have consideration for belts.
That way the rest of the roster can be more considered to be for one-offs or preliminary matches for newbies who are looking to get into the site. That doesn't mean that no newbie can never have a match or rp with any of those girls, but it sort of gives a list of the more active wrestlers without necessarily putting them in any kind of upper mid or lowcard spot
I don't know if this is the BEST way to put it... but the new directory could be considered something like a combination of mid-high carders. And everyone else would be considered a lowcard. Because they aren't used or the member is inactive or what have you.
it's just a way to clarify.
Also, we have been considering for title matches asking the members who they might like to see in a match. Where if there is a title match we NEED to have we could put up a thread that asks "Who would you LIKE to see."
And then we can take that into consideration. and I mean TAKE THAT INTO CONSIDERATION, not DEFINITELY DO THAT. Because, why NOT give the people what they want if they are clamouring for it? But this is another idea we are possibly considering.

I like the way the directory is described there, that way people can say which of their characters are in the hunt for titles, it can make things a bit clearer on that end. I would still say having people specify on the directory which belt they see that character going for would be beneficial, like some characters may be only interested in tag team or hentai and not the main title, etc.
And I love asking the site what they want to see as far as title matches are concerned, I'm with Harrier that I think belts like the kawaii belt and the entropy belt need more focus on them and this seems like a way to do that too. I would assume this is done to an extent already via pm but I think for the two ppv's a thread should be made where people can put forth their thoughts for who should be in its matches and put forth their own stories for it and such.

A title match would be absolutely pointless for me to write if I know from the start that I would win or loose it, and writing would surely suffer.

Good thing you (and DG) don't have a title match, then. " title="Razz" />
