Taylor Parker vs. Adrian Kytes vs. Lia Cross

Lia took a few last quiet breaths backstage as she waited for the announcer to call her name. She had absolutely no idea how she got sucked into this quarrel between two definitely crazy girls. Adrian Kytes, who Lia barely knew and yet had managed to tee off, and Taylor Parker, who was just an annoying little punk who deserved more kicks in the teeth than one universe could contain. And yet here Lia was, somehow between them. Their long-standing feud and their records dwarfed Lia's. In all honesty, Taylor was giving Lia a huge leg up just by offering her a title shot. Lia held no gratitude though, having to share the stage with two staggeringly annoying little girls was penance enough.

"Liaaaaaa Croooooosss!" At the sound of the announcer's call, Lia skipped out from backstage. She hoisted above her head a 'belt'... a crudely made cardboard plank attached to a dress belt with "AFW'S BEST RABBIT" scrawled on the front in brightly colored marker, each letter a different color, all written around a crudely drawn cartoon rabbit. Hoisting her 'belt' cheerfully, Lia waved to the audience, blowing them kisses as she jogged down the ring, collecting a few high fives. Handing her 'belt' to the bewildered ref girl, Lia slid into the ring, took an exaggerated bow, and waved once more to the crowd. Her mind wandered again. Lia had never seen the appeal of these sorts of titles. To her, they were just a big bullseye. And yet, it was hard not to get a certain amount of goosebumps at the prospect of competing for one. Of course, a sort of grim excitement about the challenges ahead spurred some of that. Adrian was, to put it euphemistically, crafty... full of surprises. And Taylor was just plain fast, strong, and she knew what she was doing. This was not going to be an easy match at all.

Adrian was at a cross-roads. The last time she saw the competitors, she had gone out with an intent to let Taylor know that she wasn't going to get under her skin anymore, and then the blue haired punk did just that... one thing led to another and now she had a title match, just not the one on one affair with Taylor she had hoped for. But then she hoped that if she did get that match: the two wouldn't be straight at each others throats. The possiblity of co-existing seemed to be a fantasy by now.

Then there was Lia Cross. The one she laid out despite not exchanging that many words, she kind of wanted to apologize for that, especially considering that the bunny girl had managed to make friends with Rebecca and Cecilia. She shouldn't have any reason to lash out the way she did but... "Which would you rather be? The winner? Or the better woman?" repeating her words just made her blood boil, lose control of herself. She'd have to do a lot of apologizing to her friends... and what was left of Lukretia's head of security when she cut loose again.

Dressed in her latest creation, she waited for the lights to dim on the arena and her [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbwdTtRHQAU:22iqitjc]music to start up[/url:22iqitjc] before the finishing touches were made. Stepping out onto the ramp under the cover of darkness, she waited for the perfect cue, over a minute into the song

Nothing from no-where, I'm no-one at all

On cue pillars of flame erupted either side of her, the lights slowly turned on to reveal Adrian's latest costume, a far departure from previous attempts.


Her face hidden by the cowl, she seemed to sway in time to her music as she walked down to the ramp. No personal title belt or Amazon guard to be seen as she slipped into the ring silently. Removing her cowl to let her recently cut short brown hair free and her leather gloves: she looked prepared for a battle, not only with the outfit but the look on her face.

With the cosplayer's mind still bubbling away behind the scenes, all that was left to do was wait for Taylor, the announcer to do their big "this match is for the championship" spiel introducing them to anyone who didn't already know just who was fighting yet failing to grasp just what they were fighting for. Hell was about to break loose, no matter what was officially at stake.

Taylor was unusually quiet. Her usual routine was to warm up, fall asleep, wake up a bit before the match and soon thereafter she was a dancing, jittering ball of energy. This match was different. She wasn't going out there to have fun or talk trash. She was focused.

She pushed the thoughts about who she was about to fight out of her head. When she got down there, they wouldn't be freaking Lia and Adrian, the biggest dickweeds in the country. They'd just be opponents, and she was going to do her thing. She was going to win. They were next.

The lights in the arena went down, and she got the nod from a Friction production manager. Her grin was there, but her eyes were intense. She jumped up and pulled her knees to her chest, high enough that she might've been able to jump over her own head, and landed emphatically with both feet on her spot at the front of the ramp. The crowd cheered crazily, and it energized Taylor. She offered them no flirty flourishes, just a grin and a wink before she started down the ramp.

Her bright blue hair was up in the usual pigtails, bangs swept to one side, but her working clothes were new. She wore matching blue plaid short lycra shorts and and a short halter top that left her tight, defined abs and toned, muscular thighs bare. She wore her usual black fingerless gloves and black knee pads with black knee-high boots with three blue stripes around the tops that made them resemble tube socks. A black choker with a silver flying bird pendant fit snugly around her neck, not quite covering her Kanji 'imouto' tattoo. On one wrist was a bracelet with the Kanji for "Kaze", and on the other was a wide black leather bracelet that buckled in place.

She let the fans reach for her on her way down, pawing out at her, patting her on the shoulder, looking for high fives, but she didn't respond to them. She hopped up onto the ring apron and vaulted over the top rope. She bounced in place and shook out each arm to loosen up while she eyed first Lia, then Adrian. She took a deep breath. This wasn't going to be easy, but she was ready.

"Let's do this." She said, waiting in her corner like a dog on a chain.

Adrian's eyes darted between Taylor and Lia. Moving first would give the other two a chance to counter and gang up on her, but someone had to make a move first. Taylor stood there waiting in her corner, daring either one of the challengers to take first shot. Moving on Lia means I turn my back to Taylor, but moving on Taylor means I turn my back to Lia... fucking hell... why'd I get to be in the middle? She thought, trying to seriously break down and solve the initial predicament.

There was one way, to get a reaction from both without exposing herself to initial harm. She'd make the first move to not move first and silently slid out of the ring, leaving just the Punk and the Bunny to fight the opening moments amongst themselves It's not cowardice... it's just stragetical thinking Adrian told herself, she'd still win this eventually, just there was no need to rush in and get herself stuck in a bad situation just yet

Lia watched Adrian with a bit of awe as she approached. That... is a really cool costume... Unfortunately, Adrian did not come out with her belt... which completely ruined the idea of Lia bringing her own belt. She blushed a little, but recovered her composure.

Taylor finally arrived with the focus that Lia had only seen from the girl in the ring. She was ready to give this fight everything. If only she could manage half as much focus toward the goal of not being a total douchebag... With all three girls in the ring, Lia almost thought of saying something, but the looks on Taylor's and Adrian's faces said everything that needed to be said.

Lia went over the strategy in her mind. She was in a bad way here. To Taylor and Adrian, Lia was the third wheel. And in these sorts of situations, that third wheel can be a bullseye. Plus, Taylor's prominent display of her build reminded Lia of how annoying she was in a fight. Quick as lightning, but with more than enough power and skill to direct it well. You could not play defensively. She would just take the fight to you. Adrian was a different story. With her, you needed to keep the fight in her face. Bully her. Stay on your toes but do not let her get a strategy laid out.

Of course, Adrian was on the same page. The bell had barely rung and suddenly there were two people in the ring. "What?" Lia stepped out from her corner, glancing down at Adrian. She did not take much time to think about it. As horrible as it could be to let Adrian get breathing room, Taylor was the biggest threat. And, besides, Taylor's whiny voice celebrating her win over Lia would be downright unbearable. Lia could forgive Adrian her unprovoked kick when THAT was the alternative.

Lia crossed the ring quickly, her hands raised in a fighting stance. She sought to take the lead, keep the fight to Taylor. As soon as she closed the distance between them, Lia would try to aim a quick jab at Taylor's face.

Taylor tilted her head to the side and waved bye-bye to Adrian. Of course Adrian would be the one to try to duck out early. The alternative was standing in the ring and fighting, not Adrian's strong suit.

She looked over at Lia as she strode out of her corner. "What, did you want to leave too?" She said with a grin.

Her whole body felt coiled and ready, with so much energy just beneath the surface that if she didn't let loose soon she might explode. Lia didn't keep her waiting. As Lia came forward, Taylor sprinted at her at full speed and dropped her shoulder to violently spear Lia through the midsection. It was a happy coincidence that she'd decided to go low, as Lia's punch barely missed it's mark.

Lia's thin smile belied eager determination. Hopefully, with this match, she could shut Taylor up. At LEAST for a week. "Something like that."

Unfortunately, Taylor was three steps ahead of Lia. Lia was caught practically flat-footed by Taylor's charge. The spear sent her to the mat. "Kff!" Lia hissed as the air was knocked out of her, stunned for the moment.

Landing the first shot always felt good. Taylor went down to the mat with Lia, but immediately sprung back to her feet. As usual, she did not hesitate in the slightest to follow up.

Taylor had an idea for fighting Lia. She quickly grabbed for Lia's ankle and lifted it up, pushing it back toward Lia's head to stretch her leg out a little. She slid one foot back, and then kicked the toe of her boot sharply into the top of Lia's hamstring.

Sure, Lia was bigger. She'd have some trouble using her strength, or keeping up with Taylor, if her legs didn't work.

Lia let out a wince as her leg was bent back and grimaced when it was struck. Not a great way to begin the match, but what plan really survives contact with the enemy?

Well, Taylor's did, but... whatever.

Lia tried to roll away and get at least to her knees, clutching her leg in pain, but she was unlikely to be faster than Taylor. If she could rise before Taylor caught her, she would try to swing for Taylor's midriff as she approached.

Taylor stuck with Lia while she tried rolling away. She waited for just a second until Lia began to stand up and the moment she turned to face her, once she cocked her fist, Taylor met her with a boot to the chest.

She skipped back a couple steps and put her hands on her hips, despite everything in her that urged her to never let up when she had the advantage. She couldn't forget about Adrian, though, and she glanced outside the ring to find her.

"Are you even trying, dude?" She called at Lia. "Seriously. I work hard. Don't make me look dumb by pussing out this fast. Adrian already did that. I can't be the only one who showed up to fight."
