The Bear/Hare connection

Rebecca placed her hands firmly on her hips as she watched Lia perk up with interest in her challenge, well this should be a good start she thought. She didn't know much about Lia but if she could take this blow she'd find out with her retaliation, and if it did knock her back or on her back... well that would tell her something about the bunny-eared fighter anyway.

Once Cross' look turned from silly to intense she began to brace herself for the blow, watching her shoulders as she tightened her abs. An old trick she got taught, a great way to demoralize someone was to give them the impression that their punches did nothing to her, to just stand perfectly still after taking a shot to the gut like the one Lia was probably building up for.

The Amazon didn't even see it, but she damn sure felt it. For a brief flash her stomach growled out in pain, she grit her teeth but she remained still, trying her best to not let the security head see how much that had hurt her. "Not bad..." she grunted, Lia was clearly not someone to be messed with if she could muster that force behind a punch, maybe this would be close fight.

But that depended how well Lia took her shot. "My turn."

Deep down, Lia suspected this was a sucker's bet, but her bravado would not let her back down. She was too eager to prove herself. She knew Rebecca had probably dispatched dozens of hotheads who thought they could dance with her despite her size, but bravado crowds out humility.

Her fist struck the giantess. A sudden impact, and for a second, neither moved. Lia's intense gaze remained, her eyes widened in surprise. The only movement was a slight twitch of Lia's rabbit ears as the realization set in. Rebecca barely even flinched! Her icy demeanor quickly melted as Lia grinned sheepishly, pulling her hand back and shaking the fingers. "Ha ha, oh wow. Like a brick wall! Awesome! Ow ow," Lia pouted cutely as she rubbed her hand. She patted Rebecca's midriff gently, "Okay, after this is done, you GOTTA tell me your secret regimen. Because, that right there? I want. Bad. Used to think my abs were pretty boss, but, man." Lia took the opportunity to rub Rebecca's stomach once more, mouthing "Wow" silently to herself before she took a step back.

Lia stretched from side to side, her grin never fading, "Alright, Wall, this is the part where you make me regret taking that sucker's bet, right?" Lia took a deep breath and blew it out slowly. "Alright. Try me!" She winked at Rebecca. Underneath the playful exterior, Lia steeled herself. This was going to hurt. A lot.

Rebecca wasn't good at feigning modesty when she was complimented like this. She was proud of her ability to stay perfectly still after the worst shots, letting out a small chuckle as Lia patted her abs "What can I say?" The amazon said with a comfortable smirk "The muscles aren't just for show." she gloated.

"It was kind of a trap, yeah." She admitted. While the dark skinned amazon was strong as all hell, she often had trouble actually hitting people. When they saw her arms they often quickly decided to get out of the way. This little challenge had given her a free shot for not that much pain. As long as she hit the punch right, it'd be a net gain.

Curling her right hand into a fist, she took half a step back to try and aim her shot as Lia steeled herself for the incoming blow. It wasn't nearly as fast as Lia's, had they not had the agreement the Bunny head of security could have dodged it no problem, but that didn't stop it containing enough force to wreck Miss Cross in one heavy blow.

Lia grinned eagerly as Rebecca enjoyed the compliments. "You're telling me." Lia ran her hand down her own midriff and pursed her lips in resignation. "Eugh. Definitely gonna take your regimen. Gonna be a smaller version of you when I'm done with it all... unless I'm too lazy to do what voodoo you do..."

Lia let out a gentle scoff, "A good trap, though." She tensed up, breathing out slowly as she saw Rebecca wind up. Seeing the size and leverage of Rebecca come at her was enough to disillusion Lia's brash desire to see how hard Rebecca could hit, and it took no small amount of willpower just to stand there and take it. But take it she did. Rebecca's powerful fist cocked back and slammed Lia with a piston's force. "Hhhk!" Lia grunted, her face contorting in pain as she leaned over, the force sending her a few slow, wobbly steps back, trying, and failing to catch her balance. She fell back on her rear, in a sitting position, eyes bugged out just a bit. A second later, she caught her breath and life seemed to return to her. "Wow." She looked up at Rebecca, a pained smile on her face, "W... wow... ow." Lia's surprise gave way to pain. "That damn near went through me." Lia huffed, "I think you... got the better of that deal. Heh heh... ow... hurts to laugh," she mumbled.

Lia extended her arm to Rebecca, "Gimme a hand?" She smiled hopefully up at Rebecca. If Rebecca helped her up, Lia would wobble a bit on her feet. If not, Lia would take considerably more effort to stand up. "Just a sec?" Lia would ask, stretching her stomach and rubbing it softly. "Alright, I'm ready if you are. Just don't break anything." She would wink at Rebecca.

((Typing in the weird future tense because it's entirely possible for Rebecca to just not let Lia recover.))

Rebecca watched as Lia fell back from the force of her punch. A strange sense of satisfaction washed over her as the bunny girl's eyes bugged out while the impact still vibrated within her hand. She knew that she hit hard, when her punches connected it gave even the toughest a shakey surprise. It was just nice to get a better idea of just how strong she truly was. Nothing against Lia Cross, truth be told she liked her. But if she wanted a fight, she got one.

"Sure." She said, pulling the head of security up with one hand, letting her stagger up and recover as she waited for her to start the spar properly. "No promises." the amazon growled when Lia declared herself ready, looking to wrap her muscular arms around Cross' waist then lift her up, placing the bunny girl's back over her shoulder.

Although Lia said she was ready, the soreness in her stomach had yet to really subside. She knew she would have a Rebecca's fist-shaped bruise in her stomach when all was said and done.

Lia was not at the top of her game, and the amazon had lurched forward with enough quickness to catch her in her grip. Oh boy. Lia found her feet leaving the ground as Rebecca lifted her up. Reacting quickly now to the danger, Lia shifted her weight, kicking up and trying to flip over Rebecca and hopefully land on her feet behind the amazon. If Lia could manage that, she would almost stick her landing. With only a quick bounce to catch herself, Lia would step in and aim a kick straight at Rebecca's back.

Rebecca lifted Lia easily, keeping hold of her... wasn't as simple. The agent slipped out of the amazon's grasp fairly easily, giving her a painful kick to the back, earning a grunt of pain from the 6'4" beast of a woman.

Turning around, Rebecca hoped to get another powerful hit in and swung for a spinning clothesline, possibly taking the head or bunny ears off Lia.

Lia had scored a nice hit, but, hell, she scored a nice hit earlier in the gamble and Lia was still no closer to winning this fight; the amazon was hardly even slowed by that kick. Lia was not eager to be the recipient of any more of Rebecca's powerful swings. Lia immediately ducked low, feeling the puff of displaced air as Rebecca swung over head, almost knocking her rabbit ears off. Still low, Lia tried to reach in, aiming to grab Rebecca's leg and yank back, hoping to topple the giantess to the mat.

Rebecca's wild swing missed Lia's head and brushed past the bunny ears. Without enough reaction time the amazon felt herself pulled off balance and falling down onto her ass. The entire ring shaking with the impact.

A small "Grr." Mainly at herself for being taken down so quickly and Rebecca would try and kick Lia away if she was still holding onto her leg.

Lia had hoped to capitalize on her advantage, having toppled the giantess with a satisfying and imposing thud. Rebecca had other ideas though. Her other leg connected with Lia, shoving her back onto her rear and costing the rabbit her grip on Rebecca's leg, "Eep!". Lia cursed inwardly. As much as she liked to think they were still feeling each other out, Lia hated to lose an advantage. Rebecca could make mistakes. Lia could not. With a bit more leverage, Rebecca's leg could have broke something easily.

Lia quickly tried to get back up, though it was unlikely she would beat Rebecca to her feet by any significant margin, if at all. Still, Lia smiled, "So, how many bears do you wrestle in a week?" If Lia had gotten standing before Rebecca, Lia would try to hastily dive atop her back and put a sleeper hold on her. Otherwise, Lia would assume a stance and try to circle around Rebecca, "You don't seem like the normal type here at Mistress von Crotchfelt's House of Debauchery. What brings you here? If you don't mind a curious rabbit prying..." After Rebecca had responded, Lia would try to move in and fire off a few jabs towards Rebecca's midriff, aiming to test her guard and to see if she could get one or two in for free. Lia's combat instincts briefly overrided her memory of what happened last time she went for Rebecca's gut. Not for long though. Lia would change up and try to aim one for Rebecca's face if she had not already been stopped.
