Ciara's Debut: Veteran vs Veteran (for psychopatrick88)

Ciara almost grinned to herself. It was a pattern amongst her more aggressive opponents. Try and get something across to them, and their impatience would often get them to stumble into her area of expertise one way or another. She shifted her hands up slightly but her eyes widened when she realized Rose's feint just a little too late. She brought her elbows down, lessening some of the impact, but the air whooshed from her lungs as Rose's knee sank into her stomach, making her bend forward.

Acting quickly out of instinct and her ingrained fighting style, Ciara wrapped her left arm around Rose's knee and her right hand whipped around to grab at some of the clothing near her foe's waist. Then, hauling herself forward more, taking advantage of the downward momentum the knee had given her, Ciara's head flew forward to butt Rose fiercely in the stomach.

"Not this time." She hissed. as she grabbed for her knee. She may have been acting like she wasn't paying attention to what Ciara said, but in truth, she had taken it to heart, and knew now that this would work. When her leg was grabbed, she immediately started trying to crack her fists across Ciara's face, alternating left and right punches, trying to make the woman let go of her knee, or keep blocking her punches with her face.

Ciara growled as a Rose threw a right at her face, but she dug her chin down and let her forehead take most of the painful impact. Immediately, she knew that the knee grab was untenable, and she quickly dropped it, whipping her left arm around to grab at Rose's bicep instead. With a yell, she surged up and in close, suddenly letting go of her grip when she was in tight enough to avoid a knee. She threw a right hook at Rose's kidney while she threw her head forward in another headbutt at her opponent's face. She'd power forward after the two attacks, throwing point-blank hooks, uppercuts, and body shots, trying to force Rose backwards and trap her against the ropes in earnest.

Rose growls as her bicep is grabbed, and she took a right hook to the kidneys, but she would tuck her head in as she came in, trying to make Ciara take the worst from the headbutt, and then would try to shove her away before she could follow up with any other attacks.

Ciara winced as her forehead collided with Rose's forehead instead of her face, and growled in frustration when her opponent opened up a little more distance between them again. Instead of stumbling away, however, she planted the ball of her foot when she had backed up two steps, turned her momentum back forward, and advanced forward again, this time throwing a few left jabs followed by a heavy straight right. However, she didn't put all of her weight and strength into the blows. The last exchange proved to her that Rose knew what was happening and that she should attack with more caution.

Rose narrowed her eyes as she came back in, and would try to throw a hard hook up for her jaw as she tried with a few left jabs, hoping to stop her move short, and knock her on her ass from the blow.

Ciara was ready for the counter, but she had to change up her attack pattern to deal with the incoming strike. Shifting quickly to the side, she dodged how she usually did, letting the punch graze her off-target and letting it pass by. The moment the hook cleared her neck, Ciara's left hand snapped back from jabbing and quickly grabbed Rose's forearm, while the soldier girl fired off a quick straight right at the chest to retaliate.

Rose was expecting Ciara to grab for her arm, now that Ciara had basically explained her style, and as soon as it was grabbed, she tried to yank her in first, and would attempt to nail her hard in the now with an elbow. Things were getting intense now, with the two women trading and countering blows.

Ciara grunted in pain and surprise as Rose hauled her in at almost the same time, using Ciara's momentum against her then ramming an elbow into her face. She almost instinctively whipped her head to the right to take the blow on her cheek instead of her nose, but quickly responded, pressing her palm against Rose's elbow and trying to keep her opponent's arm stretched ineffectively across the front of her chest and neck. Then she stepped in close to hit Rose with a headbutt, making sure to hold back quite a bit so the match wouldn't heat up too badly. It was one thing to headbutt in a match, another to make a potential ally bleed from the head after the first meeting.

Rose blinked when Ciara managed to stop Rose's elbow at almost point blank range. She was then forced to lean forward slightly, and then was nailed with a headbutt. "Arrgh!" She shouted as she was nailed with the headbutt, and stumbled back from the SpecOp. "Grrh... your reflexes are beginning to annoy me." She spoke in a calm tone, taking a step back and raising her fists back up to start up another round with her.
