Ciara's Debut: Veteran vs Veteran (for psychopatrick88)

"Nghh!" Rose's foot thudded into Ciara's abs, but the fight had just begun and her resilient physique allowed the military girl to shrug it off with only part of her breath lost. Grabbing her opponent's ankle swiftl'y with one hand, she would toss it aside and let it drop, but not before causing a moment of imbalance. Re-closing the distance between the two fighters, Ciara would hunch her head and guard down tightly in a modified boxing stance. Using her momentum to her advantage, she would try and surprise Rose by stepping in close, much closer than expected, and colliding her forehead with the veteran's chin to kick off the round of infighting.

Rose should've figured that Ciara would try to grab her leg. She was about to leap up for a dropkick towards Ciara's breasts, but Ciara beat her to the punch as she threw her leg off balance. She stumbled to the side as Ciara darted in, and ended up taking a headbutt. "Rgn!" She groaned, stumbling away a step or two, but then tried to counter with a headbutt of her own, backed by malice and vengeance.

Ciara had stepped in to follow up, but saw the headbutt coming and turning her head to the left, just in time. She grunted in pain as Rose's headbutt collided soundly with her cheek, but now they were in nice and close. Placing her right hand on her opponent's cheek, she suddenly thrust her arm to the left, aiming to snap Rose's head in that direction, brought her hand back swiftly to wrap around the back of her foe's neck, then drove a left forward to nail Rose in the stomach, pulling her into the attack as she did so.

Rose felt Ciara's hand on her cheek, and her head was shoved to the side before her head was grabbed. She grit her teeth, trying to fight out of the hold she was in, and took a hard punch to the gut. "Guhh!" She grunts, but she manages to stay on her feet, and tried to counter with a fierce right of her own.

Ciara winced, grunting in pain as Rose smashed a hard right into her ribs, seeing as she was inside the bounty hunter's guard and better protected against headshots. She growled and brought up both her hands, driving them forward in a short, violent shove.

Ciara aimed to bring Rose upright, put some distance between them, and put her opponent off-balance, even if only slightly. Then she would rush forward in a flurry of punches and forearm strikes, aiming for the chest, sides, and stomach as targets.

Rose was about to slam another fist into her ribs, until she was shoved back by the Spec Op. She stumbled back, but she retained her balance rather quickly, and kept her fists up. She saw Ciara rushing in with a flurry of punches, trying to guard them as best as she could with her forearms and legs before trying to counter with a fierce backfist aimed for Ciara's cheek!

Ciara growled in appreciation as a few of her attacks struck home, yet the other girl was extremely skilled at guarding herself, even using her knees to parry rib and stomach shots. Just as she was about to bring up a knee towards Rose's midsection to counter this, her opponent's backfist flashed out like lightning and struck her full on the cheek. The soldier grunted in surprise and pain, but as Rose brought back her fist, Ciara caught her wrist and used some of the momentum to reel herself in, turning her body as she did so. Trying to thrust in through Rose's guard, she aimed to drive her shoulder into her foe's chest, then use that momentum to try and drive her back, into the ropes, if possible.

Rose narrowed her eyes as Ciara caught her fist, and blinked as Ciara turned in towards her. She winced as Ciara drove her shoulder into her chest, and sure enough she staggered back, and fell into the ropes with a gasp of surprise!

Ciara had stood back and let Rose get her bearings while letting the results of their clash sink in. This was a sparring match, after all, and Ciara would gain nothing from just trying to turn this into a brawl.

"See what happened Rose? No matter how good someone is at defending themselves, the moment they throw out an attack, as a rule, it automatically exposes a vulnerability somewhere on the body. That's what my fighting style exploits. Attritional exchange."

She brought up her guard and buckled down again, waiting for another assault. "Knowing and countering are two different things, though. Come on, Rose, lessee how tough you can be in a give'n'take."

Rose growled a little as Ciara began to lecture her. That was one thing she did not need, or want. She narrowed her eyes at Ciara half way through her lesson.

"Maybe you should spend less time talking and more time fighting!" She shouts, and moves back in towards her, looking like she wanted to cave Ciara's face in with a right fist, but just before it meets, she throws her knee up as hard as she could, trying to make it plow deep into CIara's stomach, hoping to make her fall.
