Avalanche 2023: Iris Takahashi (C) vs Giovanni Zeppeli: Nekketsu Title Match

It was a rare thing one could say, to have their debut on a PPV match. Even more so than to have them be given a title match to boot! You had to have a lot of luck to get something like that and as it turned out Giovanni Zeppeli had that in spades. Giovanni, better known as Gyro had come to Tension to promote his family's pizza business only to be given diddly squat. That was until he was given the chance to make a big delivery to a certain higher up in Tension, Gyro would get his foot in the door in the literal sense and demanded a match. And they did! He was gonna be fighting Iris Takahashi at Avalanche with the Nekketsu belt on the line!

Gyro was sitting in his locker room, bouncing a tennis ball off the wall there as he grinned ear to ear. With his phone on loudspeaker his friend Johnny was speaking to him. "Are you sure you know what your doing Gyro?" his best pal spoke there.

The Italian Stallion would catch his tennis ball and go "Of course Johnny~ We have to get the tennis ball over the net after all. How's the hospital? Will you walk soon?" Gyro frowned a little, remembering the time they were shot at with Johnny taking one that barely avoided a permanent crippling.

Johnny paused before saying "Yeah, I'll be looking at it next year the docs told me. Now get out there and make them fall off their horse." and hung up as the locker room door was knocked on. Gyro stood up and chucked the ball to the side as he made his way to the entrance ramp!

Before long his theme song would blare from the speakers known as GO! GO! ZEPPELI! and Gyro would come out with his cowboy hat topping his noggin and a flamboyant pose there. The crowd gave a rather loud reaction, many of them actually got pizzas from his folks after all! Gyro would yell "Yeehaw!" and sprint down the ramp like the Italian Stallion that he was before leaping up to the ring apron and getting on one of the corners and raising a gun fingered hand to the crowd before stepping off and lounging in the corner with his hat brim covering his face there............

Gyro would be keeping his mug hidden there with his cowboy hat there, letting the image of the cowboy be burned into the minds of those in attendance and watching. This was his debut after all and he was a lucky son of a gun getting a title match out of it to boot! Iris wasn't gonna know what hit her if Gyro was gonna have something to say about it, still Gyro would poke his head upwards a bit there. Ooooo boy wasn't she a beaut!

The Italian Stallion would flick his hat upwards with a finger there and give a little chuckle before saying "Well hello little lady! Your gonna have to be pardon me ma'am......for the crime I'm about to commit with taking that there belt." as he then turned and rested his hat on the iron corner before the announcer would start as the ref would take the Nekketsu Belt and lift it upwards.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is set for one fall. And it is for the Nekketsu Championship! Introducing first the challenger. He hails from Austin, Texas, USA! He is the Italian Stallion, Giovanniiiiiiiiiiiiii Zeppppppppeliiiiiiiiiii!" at this Gyro didn't pose but rather grinned into the camera to show his teeth grill that said Go! Go! Zeppeli!

The announcer went on with "Introducing the opponent, hailing from Japan. She is the Nekketsu Champion! Iriiiiiiiiiis Taaaaaaaaaaakahasiiiiiiiiiiiii!" once the champ had their moment the ref would pat them both down and put the belt away. And the bell rang soon thereafter!

"YEEEEHAWWW!!" Gyro would yell as he sought to bolt right at Iris there and bust out into a pair of cartwheels before leaping right at her with a flying, double barrelled shotgunned dropkick to try and make an explosive first statement in the Italian Stallion's debut match here tonight!

Gyro was always one to try and start a fight on the right foot, or in this case both of them there in this opening part of the title bout! The Italian Stallion was gonna run fast and run wild there on Iris and managed to connect it and send his taller foe staggering right back into the corner, with Gyro then doing a kip up and leaping himself back upwards there and giving a loud "Yeehaw!"

"Imma run wild and run fast on you!" Gyro would yell as he'd lunge at Iris and tried to get his feet on the ropes there and stand tall over Iris, attempting to rain down some quick gunshot blows there and give her noggin a floggin to try and make sure that the Nekketsu champ was going to know the power of Texan/Italian hands in this opening exchange!

Gyro was no stranger to doing some brawling, he had his fair share of tussles in the bars with bottles getting tossed and insults being sent each way. He'd done this sort of thing more than once only it was with someone sitting on a bar stool rather than a turnbuckle. Still Iris was taller than him by a few inches and didn't skip on her meals because the next thing Gyro knew he was bodily tossed away there which demonstrated the Nekketsu champ's strength there.

The cowboy's mantra was attack first and fast so Gyro was rushing in again, only to get smacked in the jaw with a big boot there. It sent the Italian Stallion for a loop and he'd crash right to the mat with a heavy thud as he groaned with a hand on his jaw there. Damn that stung like a rattlesnake's bite, way to disrupt the pizza cooking there........

Well Gyro had been knocked down before from a strike, the cowboy was as previously mentioned had done his fair share of bar scraps so this wasn't gonna deter him none no sir! Still stung like a hornet's nest though, Iris didn't hit like a girl at least and this told the Italian Stallion he better step up there. Still the Nekketsu Champ was on him there while he had his bell rung. The next thing Gyro knew he was hefted upwards and taken to the corner, only to then be bodily tossed right across the ring!

"Woahhh!" Gyro yelled as he was chucked like cattle by a bull there, the Italian Stallion would crash near the opposite corner there. Still he'd recover there and get in a crouched posture and say "Alrighty, Signora. Let's play!" as Gyro would then sprint forward there and go into a pair of cartwheels and flips in the hopes of making Iris confused by his approach before revealing his attack to be a leaping backwards right elbow seeking to crash straight into Iris's chin!
