Leah Shaw vs. "Amazon" Alaina Sanders

Alaina had her fist back, ready to strike again at the pipsqueak upstart trying to upstage the amazon! However Alaina was fully taken by surprise as the headbutt smashed her face leaving her reeling! The swaying amazon moaned and shook her head still in a daze after the unexpected attack!

The loud clap that thundered from the tenacious rookie butting heads, quite literally with the beast that was also a rang out through the arena to stunned silence. Both women reeled from the impact looking almost as if it had been capable of knocking both women down for the count. Leah held on by a thread, slumping up against Alaina, still mid-climb on the turnbuckle. Her saving grace was having been prepared mentally to take the blow which had kept her aware of the situation even though her hazy vision.

Roughly, the blond pulled away and took it upon herself to finish the climb on shaky legs, balancing precariously on the top rope. She reached down, grabbing hold of Alaina under the arm and by the back of the neck, tugging and pulling at the woman to force her up to meet her. Each hard jostle made both women shake atop the wobbling ropes, the turnbuckle creaking loudly in protest to both of their weight on top of it.

With careful foot placement Leah rotated herself around the dazed Amazon, planting the heel of her boot on the turnbuckle to better stabilize herself. With a grunt, she lifted the other woman with all her strength, struggling as the ground beneath her shook and cables sagged with their weight. She would try to heft the former champion up and over her head, gorilla press style before hurling her down, back first with a body slam from the top rope.

Alaina was half out of it and in shock as Leah grabbed her and lift her up, straight up overhead for a split second before sending the amazon crashing down thunderously to the mat on her back! "AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Alaina howled as she laid there her face twisted in agony as she was in disbelief at the move Leah had just pulled off against her all while the pain of the crash landing left her writhing on the canvas. Alaina was meekly kicking the mat as her thigh rumbled with each kick leaving her seemingly out on the mat.

Leah had dropped a knee to the turnbuckle, having top grip the rope to keep from tumbling down after Alaina. Fatigue clawing at her body, this match had been a grueling trial that tested not only her endurance, but strength. Now at the precipice of the end, she was having trouble moving to finish the task. It was a struggle to stand herself back up, balancing precariously on the ropes. She breathed heavily, throwing an arm high with a clenched fist, signaling to the crowd her intentions by displaying her crimson red elbow pad with the etched targeting reticle on the surface.

Taking in a deep breath she prepared herself for the leap, bouncing her weight lightly on the ropes, building up her courage to take flight. After a few careful hops she dipped her body down, letting her weight hit the ropes hard, then leapt from the corner, launching herself skyward. She twisted in the air, turning her body sideways, legs kicked up, the point of her elbow directed down straight at her target. The Love Tap came down with a thundering impact squarely on Alaina's chest, directly over her heart. For those watching, this was a monumental moment. No one had ever managed to kick out of her elbow drop throughout her whole career. Was this really it?!

Leah would come down hard enough to bounce her away after the impact but have sharp enough ring sense to move as to not squander her this moment. She would crawl herself over to the Amazon and flop rather gracelessly across her in sheer exhaustion, barely managing to get an arm over her chest for a pinfall.

A shocked, agonized and quite frankly embarrassed Alaina was already laid out on the canvas when Leah came crashing down! Alaina howled and moaned in pain, her legs meekly kicking the mat and flopping as her thighs trembled with each weak kick while Leah barely covered her.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

Alaina literally just had to raise a shoulder and she literally couldn't even do that. All she did was one last thigh quaking floppy kick to the canvas while she covered her reddened face with her arms in pure humiliation.

"THREE!"

Her body had moved on autopilot, vaguely aware of what was going on around her. Well and truly running on empty she had poured every ounce of herself into this match and as she lay draped across Alaina the simple three count seemed to stretch on into infinity. She missed the final number, swallowed up by the singing ring ell and the swell of the audience roaring and cheering for what had started as a potential upset result and blossomed into what most people in the crowd were rooting for.

It was only with the referee's help that she managed to stand, legs shaky, sweat pouring down her face. Her hair was an unkempt mess having been yanked at all match making it looked as if she had only just crawled out of bed. As her arm was raised she glanced down towards Alaina with a disappointed frown. This had been a match she had been excited for but this woman had been nothing like the lady she had watched breathlessly on the television and had once admired. She looked away, not wanting to dwell on that sort of negativity as she put on a smile for the crowd and focused her efforts on simply not collapsing and standing tall in her moment of triumph.
