Akashi Tanikaze Vs. Masane Tajiri

The strike to the head caused Akashi to drop Masane more than throw her. She stumbled back to shake off the blow but quickly step back forward to reach down and grab Masane's legs to try and flip her on to her stomach.

Masane saw this woman knew what she was doing in the ring after she was dumped to her back. As Akashi stepped back, she prepared herself. As she stepped forward, she would try to slam her bare feet into Akashi's gut to try and keep her at bay. If this worked, she would try to kick back to her feet.

Akashi knew that Masane's feet were probably her most dangerous weapon which she was why she was trying to take them out right away. She tried to scramble and grab for the feet but Masane drov them into her stomach. She stumbled back and clutched her stomach, looking down at Masane. Akashi was built to take a lot of punishment in that area in particular but a kick packed a lot more focre than a mere punch. Though she wasnLt put out of commission, she gave Masane time to get back up.

Masane sprung back to her feet from her back, showing a bit of prowess in the process, and looked at Akashi with a smile. "So.. your trick is unbalance.. heh.. if only I knew drunken fist." She grinned, and then moved in towards her, faking to her left before trying to jump to her right and aim a swift kick at her head. "Kiyah!"

Akashi was back up to a standing position as well and was ready to fight again. "If you think it's just a trick, you don't know sumo at all." She said seriously. It was true that sumo was all about throwing your opponent off balance but many martial arts were about that. There was another aspect that she hadn't revealed yet.

Preparing for the attack, she took the feint and was surprised by the sudden kick. Those damn legs, I knew it! She thought as she saw the kick coming. It hit her hard, rocking her harder than a normal punch as she stumbled, not falling down but certainly dazed. She couldn't go down. Not yet.

Masane smiled a little, agreeing with her. "You're right. I don't know the first thing about sumo." She replied after she got the kick off. She was about to move in to grab an arm, but then thought better on it. Throws probably wouldn't do very well against a sumo who was still fresh in the fight. She'd keep her distance, hoping back from her and keeping her fists up. She was being careful against this woman, unsure of what her tactics could entail.

Akashi was grateful that Masane backed away. With those hard kicks to the face, the karate girl could have kept some good pressure on her. Unfortunately, Akashi needed to get in close to be effective. She was sure that she could beat Masane up close.

"Too bad." She said with a smirk. "You're missing out on one of the greatest martial arts." She winked. "Lucky for you, you get a free lesson!" Akashi charged forward once again, keeping her hands up in case Masane went for another attack. But Akashi wasn't going to throw a punch. She didn't need to. If Masane did nothing, which Akashi was sure she wouldn't, Akashi would use her weight to bowl her over.

Masane knew she probably could've kept pressure on her, but she didn't want to get caught in the process. She braced herself as Akashi charged forward, and would try a risky move, trying to slide a foot towards Akashi's legs, trying to knock her feet out from under her and grab her at the same time. If that worked, she would try to twist her body around and slam Akashi on her back beneath her!

Akashi grinned s Masane went to sweep the leg. She shoved her hand forward for a hard shove but tried to use the shove to grab Masane's karate gi and pull her. Instead of falling on her back, she was hoping toreverse the throw and send Masane onto her back with the sumo ontop.

Masane blinked when Akashi's leg didn't budge, and instead she was shoved back, then felt the woman grab hold of her gi and pull her back. She clenched her teeth as her feet left the mat, and braced herself.

"Guhh!" She gasped as the throw was reversed, and she was slammed underneath the sumo on her back, with the wind knocked out of her. "H..how-??"
