Script to back threads up

So I read this: https://www.afwrpg.com/t21922-afw-s-future-time-to-decide it seems things are a bit in flux, and you probably want to back up threads for sentimental reasons if nothing else.

I've wrote this python script to relatively quickly and easily back things up into text files: https://pastebin.com/9NHZJA2A It's a bit involved but you'll need Python 3 and BeautifulSoup installed on your machine.

For those who know command line, you'll need:

pip install lxml

To run: wherever you copy that script into, create an empty folder called "archived" and create a text document called "to_archive.txt", and in it copy the thread url endings one to a line.

For instance, if you wanted to back up this thread: https://www.afwrpg.com/t21293-crossing-the-wire-nidia-roja-vs-barbed-wire then your to_archive.txt should look like

After running the program, you should see a text file named "*your thread name*__archived.txt" in the "archived" folder for each line you put into to_archive.txt

For those who do not know what a code is, I guess just message me on Discord with the threads you want backed up and I'll send you the text files.

I'd volunteer to just archive threads for everybody, but I'm pretty sure I'll get rate limited and IP blocked if I do more than a few hundred threads per day.
