After the initial impact of body on wood was met with raucous cheering from the crowd, a worried silence started to creep in. Yes it was satisfying to watch Adrian be physically obliterated like that, but there was always something going on with the former cosplayer, it was just a question of what it was. What bullshit was Adrian going to pull out her ass to steal away a win this time? Interference? No, the Bullet Club had been kicked out of the building. A body double? A Metal Gear style fake death pill that meant she was going to pop back into life any second? What was going to happen?

Well what was going to happen was Alaina was going to toss her into the back of an ambulance like a sack of potatoes, close the door and let it drive off, that was what was going to happen.

*DING DING DING*

Alaina almost expected things to go smoothly for her, and she was in a state of shock as the doors shut with Adrian inside. Alaina dropped to her knees and a smile spread across her face when she realized what was going on.

She did it. Somehow she did it.

The bell rang and she looked around half excited, half confused as her aching body staggered up. The referee brought over the Friction Championship to her and handed it over as Alaina held it high, again collapsing to her knees as she held it up in the air. She was the Friction Champion now!

Alaina laughed and again tried to stumble back up to her feet, staggering over to the crowd and holding the title up as she leaned in on the barricade and people clamored to be in pictures next to her as she held up the title as the new champion. There were tears flowing down her face as she couldn't believe what was going on. She started out in 2014 and couldn't really get her career going until she got involved in the Entropy title scene at the end of that year, winning it and holding it for roughly a year but defending it more than any title had been defended even if her reign wasn't as long as many others. She was going to defend this title as much or more than that. She wanted to be a visible, active champion. She would have title matches at the weekly show if she could help it not just be a PPV title defender.

Alaina was going to show everyone that the big slammer who struggled at the start of her AFW career back in 2014 was a worthy champion here in 2021 nearly 7 years to the day after her debut. Alaina was going to show the world what she could do now, and that she would be a champion worthy of the title belt.

After going around the barricade and taking in the cheers of the fans Alaina hugged the belt and brought it to her face wiping away a whole mess of sweat and tears before holding it high one final time as she made her way towards the locker room, standing as tall as she could despite the pain in her body.

A testament to the raucous jubilation transpiring throughout the arena was that it appeared no less muffled from even within the driver's compartment of the ambulance. The same emergency rescue vehicle that both competitors had been battling around all night and remained to be sitting idle after Alaina had accomplished her life's goal with one slamming shut of the double doors. All of the fan frenzied attention centered upon the newly crowned Friction champion as she hobbled off to claim one of the most vaunted accolades in the wrestling business and enter the spotlight she found herself deserving of. Unbeknownst to her, malicious indifference was being cast upon her from the driver's side window of the ambulance as a hand eerily reached out to readjust it.

"Hmm...you know, in all likelihood, you probably would have lost to her eventually. Whether it was here, at last year's cage match, a few months down the line, whenever. All your kiss ass cronies did was delay the inevitable when they assaulted her before your match. Fate...and karma, all of it is inescapable. And yours is a soul rife with debts to be collected upon...to me, in particular." The macabre narration would be halted as the driver turned her head towards the fallen Bullet Club Commander, revealing Death Bunny as the mystery driver at the helm of the ambulance!!! "Buckle Up, Adrian..." Spectral fog started arising within the vehicle to darkened lighting as the ambulance started driving off until it had cleared the arena with lights ablaze and the ferried soul seemingly dragged to parts unknown...

"Mnuhh..." Adrian groaned as she started to come too, fully expecting to be looking up at some sort of medical official ready with some way to check her for signs of a concussion now that she was opening her eyes. But what she was hearing wasn't making sense. Now that could be side effects of the massive, massive trauma of a match she'd just gone through but whoever was driving wasn't saying anything a medical professional would say.

Oh.

Oh no.

"AAAAAAH!"

"Damn..." Rebecca groaned as she watched the end result on her phone, burning most of her data use just to let her and the Jackson Sisters see Adrian lose while banished from the building "...Guess we should get our asses to the hospital then." She grumbled before seeing the ambulance dart out and head in pretty much the opposite direction to the local medical facility. "What the fuck?!"
