Charlotte Harenwood vs Angela Gil - A Royal Duel

Charlotte was hearing the ref count, her fingers clenched the barricade tightly as if to try and infuse it with some life of its own. The girl's breathing was haggard, the blood pooling in her nose and staining that crisp white bodice of the duel seeker as proof of her battle being a hard and destructive one to her body. But to have it end like this? Charlotte didn't dare dream of it nor fathom it in her mind's eye, but one thing was certain. This Charlotte swore, if she were to lose she'd take Angela with her! It turned out that the Golden Queen had arrived not too far from where the duel seeker had crashed, figured considering they'd been holding each other in a deadly hug that led to their plummet into steel.

Groaning quietly the ref was already at five, Charlotte pulled herself to the steel barricade. From there she could spot that Angela was trying to mount some form of comeback, the Golden Queen was on her belly. Wise idea to use that as your base if you didn't have the environment to help you. The duel seeker gritted her teeth, if this came down to a ten count and Angela was vertical enough she'd win. Charlotte swore to not dishonour the Harenwood name with defeat in her first ever match in Japan. She had to act!

Biting her lower lip as hard as she could Charlotte would try and shuffle her body around, getting up was too great a task at this point. But......she could use her legs possibly, Charlotte would try and shunt Angela in the ribs with her nearest leg. More out of desperation as there was little else the duel seeker could manage now, but perhaps that might unbalance the Golden Queen just enough as the ref kept counting to ten......

Angela would pants as she lay flat on her back before tiredly, she would roll to her stomach before try to pull herself back up while panting, she would try to crawl toward the ring before she was kick in rib as she was push back to her back as she pants tiredly

Charlotte managed to do at least one thing here, being able to shunt Angela to one side with her leg as an act of desperation. The French girl chuckled to herself, she managed to foil her foe's actions and prevent Angela from getting to a vertical enough base to make an escape. That.....was about all Charlotte could do here, the ref had counted 8. Charlotte tried to prop her neck up on the barricade, but even that took a herculean effort at this point in time. The duel seeker, as much as she would never really admit things like this was forced to do so here. She was spent, no longer able to continue fighting. But that last move of hers might have just done something for her......

9! 10! That's it ring the bell!

The bell rung, Charlotte wasn't close to it but she could hear the ringing vibrating through her forehead. So that was it. The match was concluded, it was a draw it seemed. That last act of desperation on Charlotte's part helped make it this, that was the best outcome the duel seeker could have hoped for there. Much as she hated to admit it, Charlotte had dreamed of a hard fought victory. Instead this had occurred, Charlotte groaned quietly to herself. The Golden Queen had certainly lived up to her moniker given how hard she battled and put the duel seeker through the ringer. Her attitude left a lot to be desired yes, but there was a sort of valour to her actions.

Charlotte fiddled with her gloves, biting on the leather to try and ignore the pain. It sorta worked, helped take her mind off how sore every inch of her body was and how heavy it felt. The duel seeker then sighed and looked at Angela and said "......Nice fight......."

She would be simply laying there before pull her right arms up, enough for Charlotte to see that she is giving her a thumbup as she lay there, too tired to do anything but to laying there, panting tiredly as she lay there, she doesn't even had the strength to pull herself back up any more, this match had taken her everything she had out of her

Charlotte gazed at the Golden Queen as she lay there, the duel seeker was feeling the numbness somewhat subside. But it was still there, she'd probably need to get seen to by the medics same with Angela. It wouldn't be the first time that the duel seeker had required aid after a fight, the girl would likely need icepacks. Maybe a stich or two after all this, but Charlotte was more focused on going over the events of this match. She supposed in retrospect Charlotte had performed quite well, in future she'd have to be more mindful of the crowd and not let it get to her. This was a big stage she was in now and that sort of thing wouldn't be tolerable in future Charlotte reasoned, plus she'd need to get more experience......

For now though Charlotte would slide herself down from the barricade keeping eye contact on Angela as she did so, the doctors were probably on the way there. But Charlotte had to do one last thing before it was time to clear from the ringside. Thankfully the short distance would make it easy. Even if Angela had a massive chip on her shoulder, she gave it her all. Charlotte respected that.

The duel seeker managed to do something before a nearby staff member made to pick her up.

She patted Angela on the shoulder as a token of respect.
