AFW World Championship: Mystery Challenger vs Adrian Kytes (c)

Alaina slid in to place to begin the count, quickly getting there! As tempting as it was she did her job and counted at a standard pace not super quickly although she had wanted to. "ONE!" Alaina shouted as her hand hit the mat raising back up into the air. She brought it down again and once more it slapped the canvas. "TWO!"

The count reached two and the amazon referee was set to continue, wondering if a title upset of the ages was about to happen!

While everyone was cheering the potential new champion, they forget to take into account the magical properties of a referee's count, how it could resuscitate any wrestler better than a defibrillator even if they had just taken a fall off a 20ft ladder. The heart break for Gallium commenced as Adrian managed to lurch her shoulder up in a coughing fit, twisting her body onto her side to break what she would later deem to be a fast count despite kicking out.

Alaina's hand was starting its third descent when Adrian kicked out! Alaina knelt on her knees, rising as her arms were both up in the air holding two fingers up. "Two count only!" Alaina shouted, nodding and making eye contact with the time keeper to verify that they understood the match was still going on.

The amazon backed off and let Gallium and Adrian continue although she was hoping that Gallium's upset could still happen trying to keep her hopes alive of Adrian being dethroned.

Gallium couldn't believe it. She was so close! A first count, a second, she was about to be world champion!

Only...not. At the last possible moment, when it seemed all but certain a new champion was about to be crowned, when the crowd was buzzing, screaming along with each count, Silver Ace pounding the apron at ringside with wide eyes...Adrian kicked out, the crowd at first raising up to applaud the new champ, only for the sound of a massive balloon deflating as the crowd let out a massive "OOHHHH!" in unison at the shock of the champ managing to hold onto her title still while Gallium sat up in shock!

"Cmon Gallium! Don't lose faith, you still got this! Hit her again while she's down! Cmon!" Silver Ace cried, gesturing to her protoge to stop wasting time and get back on the action. Nodding, the pink haired teenager did as she was told, grabbing Adrian by the head and pulling the wounded champion up to her feet, turning around and hooking her arms around her head again, pointing to the corner for a second before running towards it, planning to finish Adrian with another Maple Leaf Cutter!

With how much effort it took Gallium to get the champion back on her feet it looked as if it would take a miracle to keep Adrian vertical long enough for the Maple Leaf Grappler to run up the ropes again, she stumbled when she finally got to her feet, hooking a limp arm over the smaller challenger as she began her run up.

Unlike the last time she was in this situation though, Adrian suddenly reached a hand up to pry away Gallium's grip, pulling her head out of the loose cravate headlock while the arm that was cradling the challenger's shoulders suddenly shoved the rookie forwards into the turnbuckle. Staggering backwards out of Gallium's grip it seemed that the champion was not done yet despite the wishes of everyone in attendance.

Gallium held tightly onto the World Champions head, charging forward towards the corner, blood pumping through her veins, the crowds cheers in her ears, excitement giving her new energy. She was about to do this. She was going to get her first win in the league, and become AFW World Champion!

Then suddenly...Adrian's head slipped through her arms, and her speed suddenly increased, the champ shoving the pink haired rookie away from her, causing Gallium, moving to fast, to smack her chest into the corner turnbuckle, hitting it with an adorable "EEP!", before she staggered back, hand pressed to her chest as she turned around, winded by the collision!

Breathing heavy, hunched over with her hair all over the place (thankfully concealing the massive bruise on her forehead) Adrian did not look anything like the smugly confident champion she'd started this match as, now she was looking a lot more like the desperate and hungry challenger she was just before she won the belt. And Gallium was about to find out what a difference that made.

The former cosplayer didn't wait for the Maple Leaf Grappler to turn around before she stepped towards her, shooting her leg up high to kick the rookie in the head with a loud superkick. Whether Gallium was taking it on the chin, ear or back of the head was up to her, Adrian was just going for it regardless.

The crowd was, frankly, completely on the edge of their feet. This match had started out seeming like a complete joke, but little winless Gallium Heart, super adorable as she was, had come close to having her first ever victory be for the World Title, something nobody had ever expected!

As a result, there was electricity in the air as the match continued, the crowd, and Silver Ace herself, rabid with support for her friend, all wondering just what was going to come next!

What they got, was Gallium stumbling backwards from hitting the turnbuckle...and then hearing a loud "SMACK!" as the young teen took a powerful superkick, arguably the best in the entire league, right to the back of her head, dropping the pink haired fighter to the mat like she was a sack of meat!

"...Urk...ghh...ghhh..." Gallium groaned, the teenager laying flat on her front, her only movements being involuntary convulsions from the after effects of the devastating kick!

"Hah... Hah..." Adrian wheezed as Gallium tumbled to the canvas, feeling the full effects of being blindsided by a beautiful super kick. The champion might have looked a mess as her ponytail gave way to a full blown frizzy mop, but she was the one still standing despite everything the Maple Leaf Warrior had managed to pull on her. With a pained grunt, she reached down to grab the nearly motionless rookie and drag her far away from the corner by her boots and flipped her over onto her back.

"Get into fucking position!" the Champ yelled at Alaina as she moved on to her second phase of plan "Fuck you Gallium for almost making me lose this title you fucking fuck" Reaching down to thread the rookie's arm between her legs, Adrian sat down, catching the Canadian's neck in between her calf and thigh while she wrenched on a seated wrist lock, hooking the leg to fully tie Gallium up in the Kyte Strings.

Alaina watched in agony, feeling the pain of Gallium. She scowled at Adrian and shook her head at her as she did move close to check on the challenger. "I know how to do my damn job you arrogant jerk...." Alaina hissed before her face lightened up a bit. She leaned in to check in on Gallium as she was caught in a very painful, devastating submission hold!

"Gallium do you submit? Can you keep going?" Alaina asked, making sure she was close to the young challenger so she could hear whatever answer it was that she gave.
