Sienna Sorrel vs Mia Yukari Wilson - Samurai v Mustang!

Sienna slowly staggered to her feet, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand after having bit down on her lip when she fell. She tried to locate her opponent, noticing her bounding towards her a bit late. She turned instinctively, and Mia's cross body slammed into her, dropping her back down to the mat! Her head hit first, causing her to whiplash and grunt in pain. She instinctively rolled a short distance after hitting and dizzily tried to regain her balance. Mia was starting to regain her momentum and this was something Sienna could not let happen. She found herself pressured yet again!

"Damn, you're good..." she quipped, her face still showing her true excitement. She was certainly enjoying herself despite being in a bad spot.

Mia was on a roll. Out of every possible debut match that one looked like a really ideal first combat to have. Both competitors were fighting with their best but still enjoyed some good competition. They also had some chemistry, somehow it felt good to clash against Sienna, and also both of them had shown proper respect and sportswomanship. Even more, their match had been very even so far, anything could happen and the crowd was excited about it and about those new additions to the AFW roster. Yes, that was a wonderful debut match. Only one thing remained to make it even better: secure the victory.

"So are you, so let's see who gets this victory!" Replied Mia to her rival's praise as she noticed how her last move hit Sienna and sent her to the mat. While seeing the Samurai lying there the Mudtang knew it was time for something bold. Running towards the ropes she stood in the middle one. The crowd noticed what was going on and started chanting her name. Then Mia took off in a flashy moonsault that could definitely being a match finishing move.

Sienna felt it coming, Mia was preparing something big. Something she DIDN'T want to get hit by. Again she dug deep, pulling from her deepest reserves of stamina as she forced herself to take notice of Mia's position. She had to move, she had to find her before she could-

There! On the top rope... what was she gonna do? Something bad. Something Sienna couldn't sit still for. As Mia came off the top rope, Sienna's adrenaline pushed her move as fast as she could move. Up to her feet, only instants remainng, all in one motion. She still wasn't out of the way, she'd crash into her...

That's it! That was what she needed. Her new secret move... Mia had cleared quite the distance, gained qutie the hang time, so much air... Sienna would, with her best effort, use it against her. Leaping upward, she'd grapple Mia's head and jaw, pulling her into her shoulder. With no further time but this instant, she came crashing down, throwing her legs out and nearly kicking the bottom and middle ropes as she approaches the very edge of the ring, forcing Mia's face violently downward, impacting with the mat.

It was a move often seen in the sport and popularized by legends of the business, but one she'd made her own. Realizng what she had managed to do, she quickly sat up, and sheathed an imaginary blade in just a mere moment of theatrics, then quickly scrambled to cover her opponent for the pinfall. Muramasa; she called it, a harkening back to her roleplaying days.

Could that be it? "ONE... TWO..."

It was logical to have any doubts about one’s character in a moment as crucial as a debut match, even more for someone who didn’t have that much wrestling experience as Mia. Was that aspect of her life a fad, a whimsical desire only there to satisfy her for some time before she would move on to something else? It was true that all her life the Mustang had traveled indulging herself in anything she liked, but that didn’t mean she didn’t take things seriously. Still, she had lots of doubts about her chances and how she would fare in a world like the wrestling one.

All those doubts dissapeared as she stood over the turnbuckle and the crowd reacted with a roar of enthusiasm. A rush of adrenaline coursed Mia’s body as she realized it was in that thrill of not knowing what was in store where she found her satisfaction and happiness. She smiled to herself as she took flight in search to finish this match for good in a flashy way that got all those people on her side.

Little did she know about how Sienna would react to it. The Samurai used her time down to assess the situation and as soon as she realized what was going on her instincts took off. With an incredible move she managed to execute an spectacular reversal to Mia’s moonsault as she took the Mustang’s face and made it suffer all the damage accumulated by the momentum. There was nothing Mia could have done to avoid this as she was in the air. The brunette’s eyes widened in surprise as she noticed that wasn’t right and she wasn’t going to hit Sienna, but she didn’t have the time to think about much more.

After impacting the mat face first Mia’s vision became blurry and all sound was muffled, like she had some powerful earphones on. She was lying face down and she was so dazed by the impact that she could only move her eyes as they fluttered trying to register what was going on, to no avail. Then something felt weird: all her world turned around as Sienna rolled her over and something weird happened with her leg. She wasn’t even able to notice how her redhead rival was hooking her leg to make a pin. Something inside her stirred. She now understood what was going on, but her body was too weak after the impact to do anything. She wanted to move, to break the pin before it was over, but she just was unable to do so.

One. Two. Three. It was over.

The crowd exploded into cheers at the spectacular ending they just experienced. Mia couldn’t properly register it because sound was still muffled as if everything was happening so far away. She had lost, the realization sank in as she got her arm over her eyes to try block everything, and even that movement hurt like hell. She had given her best and it hadn’t been enough. The victory got snatched from her fingers when she was able to taste it. It was a bitter end to that night. Mia remained lying in there, trying to regain her breath and her senses as her rival would probably celebrate the outcome.

She had done it! A victory for her debut match. Sienna exhaled deeply as the referee counted the pin, rolling off of her opponent and standing up, raising her arm in victory! It was a monumental victory for her debut on such a stage.

She gave Mia a glance and a little nod. She was a great first opponent, giving Sienna a competitive match. She'd definitely want a word with her later backstage. After celebrating briefly in the ring, she finally rolled out and under the bottom rope, making her way back up the ramp and towards the back.

The instant she was behind the scenes, she became almost another person, slouching forward a bit in her stance and creeping past the road agents and production crew, giving anyone acknowledging her a simple nod, not speaking much. She was something of an introvert and didn't really know what to say to anyone, much less with her mind racing like it was. She made her way to the break room, grabbing a bottle of water and cooling down.

Mia just couldn’t hide it: the brunette had a competitive nature and losing wasn’t part of her plans for that night. Being her debut and facing a rival who was also a debutant meant that if she managed to get the win that would set her career going in a powerful way and also would ascertain her superiority against a fellow rookie, making her gain some crowd’s love in the process. None of that would come to pass now that the Mustang had finished her debut match by adding a loss to her score.

Still dazed from the powerful reversal Sienna pulled off to get her down for the count, Mia remained sprayed on the mat, her arm over her eyes trying to block the world as her rival would surely celebrate her win. She could hear the Samurai’s theme rocking the arena as the crowd cheered for her winner. She endured that feeling of defeat with her eyes blocked while she heard the music and the crowd’s enthusiasm fading.

When she was ready for it Mia uncovered her eyes, her vision returning. Her rival wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Sienna was probably in the lockers at that point. Now that the adrenaline of the match was gone Mia’s muscles were starting to feel sore. The brunette would definitely need some hot bath and maybe a massage to get rid of that pain. Not without difficulty the Mustang stood on her feet. As she was making her way out of the arena she noticed some of the remaining people in the stands clapping and cheering for her even when she turned out to be on the losing end that night. Mia crossed her arms around her chest and bowed in respect to those people who still wanted to root for her. As bitter as defeat could be, having the support of that people would help that wound to heal. She promised herself that next time she would give that people and herself a win to celebrate.

Once backstage Mia stopped for an instant to catch her breath. A medical officer arrived to check on her, but after some preliminary search nothing was wrong with her body, just the usual pain and exertion. The Mustang made her way to the break room. She wasn’t expecting to find Sienna in there, even if it was a pretty common place for a wrestler to be. The Samurai looked different, though, as she had dropped some of the act she had in front of everyone. She looked exhausted from the match, leaning forwards to catch her breath, and that gave some solace to Mia since it looked that her rival had to use all of her strength to defeat her. “O-oh, wasn’t expecting to meet you here… The way you reversed that finisher was incredible. Didn’t see that coming. Congrats on the win.” Mia offered a handshake to the Samurai as she got some bottle of fresh water.

Sienna took several moments to glance up from what she was doing, a bit distracted, or perhaps nervous.

"Oh... Hello, um..." she stammered before continuing, "Thank you, it was kind of spur of the moment. F-first time I pulled it off like that. I've watched a lot of... a lot of videos, um... y'know, of people using s-similar moves in unexpected ways."

It wasn't even that she was afraid of others, just that she was clearly more than a little awkward. She sat at her table, slouching forward somewhat even as they spoke.

An awkward silence followed before she again managed to speak, "You were really good... You hit hard. I didn't think I could win at first."

She reached over and grabbed a nearby towel she had grabbed on the way to the table, wiping the sweat from her brow. "...Maybe sometime down the road we should... we should, um, have another match orsomething."

Mia was amazed about how Sienna, who had held her ground proudly and managed to get a win with a spectacular move, the woman who had outsmarted and defeated her in a fair fight, was feeling so awkward and timid. It was true that sometimes Mia’s straightforwardness had been mistaken for rudeness, but she had come at her rival in a friendly manner, and it looked like the proud Samurai timidly cowered at her. Even so, slowly but surely Sienna came out of her shell, so the initial surprise faded. Soon both women were making remarks on their movements and the highlights on the match, and even if Mia was still sad about her loss she was certain that losing against Sienna was no reason to feel shame for.

“You were really good too, so good that you got that finisher coming out of nowhere. I wish I had seen it coming but here we stand...” Mia shrugged, complimenting Sienna back. Even if the Samurai was much more timid and reserved than what Mia thought at first based on her interactions, she felt like in Sienna she could find a friend and a rival to help her push her to the limit of her skills, help her improve. When Sienna offered having some rematch at another time she smiled warmly. It wasn’t everyday that Mia showed that kind of appreciation for a rival, but Sienna was a much more than worthy opponent. “Of course, Sienna. One day we will have our rematch, and count on me to try getting a different result from today!”
