Dreams of Grandeur: Rena vs Jean (COMPLETE)

As Rena began settling into the sleeper hold, she chided herself for not picking a better move. A sleeper's a boring move... the audience is probably disappointed...

That was just herself thinking. The crowd, impressed that someone managed to turn the tables on the formidable Jean Grey all of a sudden, were holding their collective breath as Rena worked on choking Jean as best as she can.

I'll weaken her a bit, then try to go for... a dragon sleeper, yeah... that looks better and works just as well...

Jean looked like she was in trouble. But perhasp jean also knew how to sell to a crowd, making it seem like she was out when she was waiting for the right time to make a resurgence. After allowing rena to work her over for effect, Jean would then start to reach down inside trying to summon the strength needed to at least get to her feet.

If jean was able to stand, she would start by sending strong elbows back into rena's lower side and if this rattled her enough, would attempt to flip her off in front of her.

Rena grimaced as Jean moved resurgent beneath her. She knew better than to try to hang on, but she still didn't quite beat the first of Jean's elbows that dug into her side.

"Gah!"

The brown-haired girl staggered back while holding the spot on her side that Jean had hit. But she had to give the sleeper credit; it had let her rest while draining Jean some. Rena would wait for Jean to turn around before going for payback in the form of a clothesline!

Jean cried out as the clothesline nailed her and she fell on her back struck down by the formidable blow.

Rena dropped onto her knees after landing the clothesline. Panting at the strain on her body, she shambled towards the fallen Jean. Rena intended to take the redhead by the wrists, sit behind Jean's head and then head scissor her throat while pulling at Jean's arms.

Jean waited for rena to take her arms and position behind her head. Then as she started slip her lovely legs around Jean's head, Jean would attempt to pull on her arms as Rena held them to try and Jerk Rena forward a bit while jean raised her own knee to try and crack Rena in the face.

Rena wasn't expecting a counterattack so soon, and got yanked nose first into Jean's knees for all her troubles.

"Kch!"

There was a nasty crunching sound. Hot blood would splash upon Jean's knees as Rena snorted blood from her smashed nose!

Jean took advantage of the strike to try and get loose and stand up. She ignored the blood on her knee and would try to abck up and study Rena to see how badly she was hurt.

Rena snorted blood all over herself and Jean as she scrabbled away from her opponent. She clutched her face protectively. It didn't hurt that much, but it was so hard to breathe when air and blood competed for the same passageways.

On the defensive again, she'd be on her butt, scrabbling away from Jean, trying to halt her nosebleed.

Jean was conerned when she noticed that Rena was bleeding like a stuck pig. For now, she would not go on the offensive, waiting for Rena to recover a bit and also observing whether she still wanted to continue the fight.
