Jean vs Yatori - Special Gym match (complete)

It was a Saturday morning at a disclosed gym in a remote part of town. The bleachers had been set up for a minor select audience and there were many young women, mostly Europeans but a few others mixed in, clad in bikinis and ready to participate in minor matches. Some of the women didn't speak English.

Seems the matches were simple submission format. The matches would typically be a best 3 out of 5 win. The maximum time limit was 10 minutes during which the match would end and judges determiend by score. Gone also were the exotic submission holds of glorified pro wrestling. Most submissions were simple headlocks or armlocks.

Three matches were scheduled before Jean and Yatori's. The first one was very fast and one sided. A polynesian girl of athletic build seemed to out wrestle a scrawny blonde French girl really fast and forced her to submit 3 times in 2 and a half minutes. In the second match a Czech girl and german girl wrestled the full 10 minutes. The german scored 1 submission so she won by score. The third match featured an italian and Portuguese woman. Neither side scored a submission so at ten minutes the match was considered a draw.

Now it was time for Jean and Yatori. Jean stepped in dressed in a dark green bikini and was barefoot. She would nod to yatori in approval when she saw her glad that she came after all. "You ready to do this?"

The event enchanted Yatori to no end. She found the atmosphere far more officious and organized than her old matches. But the competitive air drew her in, and the fast and furious matches held her rapt. Her old apartment opponents were no pushovers (she made sure of that!), but these girls ranked equally or even more favorably in her opinion. Certainly that Polynesian girl who (wo)manhandled her French opponent deserved a high ranking.

Funny, but have I met her before?

All in all, the Mafiosi felt... relaxed. At home, even.

Nice... maybe if I hadn't found AFW, I might have joined up here... definitely a good place to visit every now and then...

Seeing Jean made her smile. "Very," she replied.

Yatori wore her usual black bikini and was similarly barefooted. She had stretched in the locker room, so she stepped straight into the mat, extending a hand to Jean as formal greeting ans also a way of apology for earlier possible misunderstandings.

"Let's have fun, ne?"

Jean seemed to hesitate at first but then she smiled warmly and clasped both of Yatori's hands in an affectionate gesture. "Let's."

Then the ref shouted something in European signifying for them to start. Jean circled Yatori as if though she intended to lock up with her. However if Yatori was observant enough she might notice that Jean's guard was relaxed at first and her legs were open.

Jean's warm acceptance did more to pump up Yatori for the match than did her earlier limbering up. "Haii!"

At the referee's foreign-sounding but familiar call to begin, she set off to circle Jean, closing steadily with each sidestep, eager to lock up now that she knew no strikes were forthcoming.

She studied Jean for an opening in the latter's defense, and found something odd. Hmm... she's way too relaxed... and she isn't balancing all that well on her feet...

Could it be a trap? After all, she knows I'm got the home advantage.

Or does she think I'll go for a standing grapple?

Ah, well.

She made to initiate a standing grapple with Jean. But soon as Jean reached for her, Yatori will sidestep, her left hand grabbing at Jean's wrist for a quick drag, to shake up her opponent's footing.

If she got behind Jean, while still holding Jean's wrist, Yatori would shoot her right hand over Jean's outstretched arm to hook upon Jean's right shoulder.

The combo, once it connects, would allow Yatori to throttle Jean upon her extended right arm by simply pulling Jean's left arm backwards. Jean might be able to withstand a joint lock or a choke, but not both at the same time., at least not easily.

Jean's legs would have to wait the outcome of her initial gambit. But Yatori planned to take quick and full advantage of them soon enough.

Jean was indeed relaxed. She was caught off guard by the combo choke, armlock from behind and so off balance was she by this sudden attack that she would begin to fall back where yatori might be able to get her in some rear choke situation.

As they began to fall backwards, Yatori made to slip her right leg in between Jean's to hook upon Jean's right leg. Then she threw her weight forward while sharply yanking on Jean's arm to drop them forward onto their fronts. Yatori preferred to fall forward so she could still maximize the joint lock. Also, their combined weights would be pushing down Jean's neck on Yatori's arm.

Jean let out a muffled shriek as she went face down with Yatori locked on behind her. Almost immediately her fee hand shot out and slapped the mat frantically as she signalled her first submission defeat.

Jean might want to appeal to a crowd in the ring but in a match like this where submissions happened fast and could have dire consequences that cause real injury she wasn't taking chances. Almost right away it showed that this field of fighting suited Yatori more for winning the first fall so fast.

Yatori immediately released Jean. That was quick, she thought as she backed away. She gave up before I could really crank it... My old apartment wrestling pals would tough it out...

She waited for Jean to get up. I shook her confidence just now. I'd best be careful.

Jean rubbed her enck and gave Yatori a look that was a little sour but mostly wary. It was clear she realized she was in a dangerous position now and that she would have to treat Yatori more respectfully. Apparently she felt energetic after winning that staged victory over Yatori in the ring. But in this more realistic fight she would have to watch herself more.

The crowd murmured respectfully of Yatori being able to win a tap out so fast. She had even beaten the Polynesian's first victory over the French girl.

Jean after she rested up enough was ready to continue almost right away. This time when the ref signalled them to start, Yatori noticed Jean was more guarded now in all fronts as she circled her. No discernible weak spots now.

Okay, Yatori thought as they began the second round, She's serious now. I'll have to make my own openings.

She would close on Jean as if to initiate a standing grapple. Just to get her bearings anew, really, and to see what Jean could cook up.
