Rena was very excited this afternoon. The bespectacled girl had always wanted to be a wrestler. She put up with referee duties as she waited for the day she'd be recognized. And now that day looked to be getting closer at last. Why else would a famous and excellent wrestler from Friction and Sex Wars ask for a match with her? It was like a job interview after the graduation party.

So she tugged on a tank top, short pants, elbow and knee pads, and wrestling boots, found a fellow referee girl with some free time on her hands, and hightailed it to the ring.

Jean Grey-san, she thought, I'll make this match worth your while!

Jean was waiting at the top of the ramp inside the entryway out of sight of the audience. She felt she would let Rena make her entrance first and she stood there, arms crossed, sunglasses on her nose.

When she saw Rena scurry up she would call for her from the corner by her full name.

Surprised, Rena looked for the source of the call. And there she was. Jean Grey, her opponent for tonight.

"Grey-san!" she greeted back with a proper Japanese bow as her referee companion headed for the ring ahead of them. "It's a honor to wrestle with you! Thank you very much!"

Jean smiled and stepped into the light. She was dressed in her usual tight green shorts, boots and black top. A bandanna held abck some of the long red hair that spilled like lava down the back and over her shoulders.

She stood toe to toe with Rena, eyes closed slightly as she gave a bemused smile.

"I like you already kid. Tell you what. Why don't you head out first."

Jean's praise made Rena blush. "I will, Grey-san!" she replied. "Thank you again!"

After giving Jean another nod, the brown-haired ref girl with dreams of grandeur entered the ring. She received some applause -enough people knew her from her other job as a referee- but didn't mind the lack of support. Jean had told Rena that she liked her. Rena would do her best in return.

After Rena had descended to the arena the lights went dark. Then the spotlight shone on the silhouette of Jean standing at the top of the ramp. At first she struck a bit of a pose looking away from the crowd, one ahnd behind her head, the other on her hip as if looking distant. The the crowd roared as she threw up the hip hand and gestured, now looking at crowd and shaking her body a bit in a dance. She then headed down to the ring.

She would get into the ring with Rena and walk up to her standing before her a bit. She didn't say anything but gave a slight smile as if indicating that she wished her luck then returned to her corner.

Rena almost applauded Jean's entrance. I have to be professional, she reminded herself, Not gushy. She settled for a quick smile and a brief nod in return.

Here goes! she thought as the bell rung. Rena decided to lock up with the bigger Jean. It was the basic opening move of most face wrestlers. And she wanted to see how strong Jean was.

Jean took the lock up enthusiastically. She would push against Rena a bit to test out her strength. At first she would attempt to work her a bit by shoving her around the ring and trying to exhosrt her to push back harder or mount a counter offensive.

If Rena was unable to do this right away, jean would decide to school her a bit on holds and offensives. She would go to twist Rena's arm working it over fairly well. She would for about two hard twists to see if she could force rena down to her knees and if this worked she would add the exclamation by delivering a hard elbow shot to her shoulder to try and knock her down.

Rena met Jean's jostling equally. This was something she'd always dreamed of and practiced for. She held her own in the shoving contest, and while Jean did get a painful arm lock on her, Rena knew how to reverse the efficient but basic move, and would do so after the second twist, hoping to surprise and impress Jean.

Jean's eyes then went wide as her arm was twists and she doubled over sharply with a yell. She then flashed her geen eyes up at Rena in pain and some surprise and reached up for ehr own shoulder as Rena turned up the pressure.
