Sucker Punch vs. BlazeWave - Can't Stop The Beat

”Shit!”

There was nothing wrong with Theo’s dropkick on paper - good form, good height, good power, good speed. It was a move he’d practiced, knew well, and he launched it without a hitch. The only thing missing was the target. He wasn’t sure what Gyuri had done to avoid the blow, but it hardly mattered at this point. With nothing to hit, he wound up falling flat on his back, smacking the canvas hard.

It wasn’t the worst landing, he only needed a moment to recover, but it turned out that Gyuri was just fast enough to make that matter.

Willy had been focusing on Viper, getting ready to throw another taunt her way, hoping to get something out of her. A response, a little joke, a smile, something. Instead, all he got was cold indifference, not the usual response when he talked to hot ladies. Kind of weird.

He drew his attention back to the match, though, when he saw Gyuri coming his way out of the corner of his eye, looking to pick a fight with him. She was short, skinny, couldn’t have weight a pound over 130 soaking wet...no, he wasn’t too scared. ”Really?” He smirked and drew back his fist, ready to meet her head on. ”Don’t think this is gonna go the way-”

Her kick shut him and bowed him over, making him the perfect launching pad for her next attack. She went soaring through the air, sending him tumbling to the floor, just as Theo began to sit up, crashing into his chest and drilling him hard into the mat.

The crowd was impressed. Theo might’ve been, too, if he wasn’t so busy rolling around and nursing his aching ribcage.

Willy made for a surprisingly good launchpad, even with the give of shoving him off the apron she was able to get impressive air. Arms out to the side, almost swan diving back into the ring. She tucked forward at the last moment, whipping her body down across Theo, diving him to the mat. The padding of her jacket helped a bit to deaden the blow of coming down from such a height on top of a solid body but not enough that she didn't hiss in pain when she rolled off the blond boy to sit up at his side.

Gyuri glanced back at the writhing man beside her, letting out a small snicker as she leaned back, raising her arm up before bringing her elbow down on top of his chest. No real aim or follow-up, just a small moment of spite for that earlier knee. She rocked herself forward, staggering to her feet and whirled around to face Theo.

Reaching down she grasped for the blond man's head, backing herself up as she tried to drag him upright while staying behind him. If he was still malleable, the Korean girl would grab a handful of his blond hair and draw him backwards, booking an arm around his neck to lock his chin under her armpit and straighten herself out to lock him into a standing dragon sleeper.

She would bring her free arm up and over, clubbing at his chest with a few quick strikes before hooking her arm around his to restrain it as she laid on the hold hard, cranking back on his head as hard as she could. If she caught sight of Willy coming to his aid or found herself about to be overwhelmed by a truck by Theo, she would cut her losses and snap her victim back into a reverse DDT.

”Ooof!”

Theo cried out at the impact, as it sent all the air rushing out of his body and wrecked his chest. Gyuri might not have weighed all that much, but it was still a lot of weight to be just dropping on his chest like that. She’d gotten good height with it, too, even though it had to suck half as much for her as it did for him.

Not that elbow in his chest, though. That was all on him. ”Gah! Come on!”

She wasn’t about to leave him idle for long, though, as she reached down and yanked him up, tugging his head back and locking his neck under her shoulder. It was a dragon sleeper, a good submission by itself, but she didn’t seem interested in using it that way - no, she was more into doing a drum solo on his chest, battering away on his pecs. He tried his best to fend her blows off with his free arms, but not being able to see beyond her armpits made that more than difficult. It was open season on his chest.

Willy had other plans, though, as he hopped back on the apron and made known his opinion on being used as a springboard. ”What kind of bullshit was that?” He started to make his way into the ring, only to be cut off by the referee. ”You want to go, I’m right here!”

Theo couldn’t tell if she noticed Willy or gave any response, but Gyuri definitely didn’t forget about him - her next move was to fall back and drive his skull into the canvas, hammering him with a slick reverse DDT. It left him laid out, flat, stunned and starry eyed. Not too out of it to fight, but a moment or two to recover would’ve been sweet right about now.

Catching sight of Willy nearby was all she needed to make her pull out of actually trying to use the submission to its full potential. She reached out across Theo's chest, grabbing a handful of the waist of his pants. Hiking it up with a hard jerk she threw her weight backwards, dragging him with her to plant the back of his head I to the mat. She wasn't about to risk being a sitting duck if the other guy decided to blow last the referee. She had already started to drift over top of Theo, about to go for a cover when she released the referee was still distracted and that would be fruitless.

She planted her palm on Theo's face, shoving it hard into the mat while using it as a means to help her get back up. The blond was done for now, so she would have some fun with Willy instead. Gyuri wandered up to the scene, mindful to keep the official between the two of them as a buffer. She raised a fist in Willy's direction, showing him the back of her knuckles. With her free hand she gestured working a crank, slowly circling it while raising up her middle finger on the original hand to flip the other man off in style.

She was content to just mess with him, but if he tried to push forward into the referee to get to her and was still being held back by the official, she wouldn't think twice about trying to sucker punch him in the face… it was in their team name after all. "똥 먹어 얼간이!"

Okay, that DDT sucked. Getting your head rammed into the canvas tended to.

But as much as it hurt, it didn’t leave Theo so stunned that he couldn’t make sense of his environment, and from this he could make an interesting observation - Gyuri was easily distracted.

He was still on the floor, and he thought she’d go for the pin, but instead she just pushed off his face and got back to her feet, focusing on Willy and flipping him off. That got the predictable response from his partner, of course. ”Yeah, yeah, you wish, you little troll doll!”

And that got him a punch in the face. Of course.

It smacked him hard and nearly knocked him off the apron again, but he grabbed the ropes and pulled forward, starting to make another try to get in, one that the referee was quick to shut down. ”Enough, enough!” She spread her arms out, trying to push them both back at the same time. ”I’ll put a no-contest on this match, I swear! Back off! Last warning!”

It was an amusing scene, but that wasn’t what Theo saw with it. He saw opportunity.

Rubbing his head, still a little woozy, he threw a quick glance towards Viper as the drama unfolded - she hadn’t seemed to care much about jumping in or helping Gyuri before, and he hoped that would hold. With the way clear, he rolled over and rose to one knee, getting up just behind.

Willy was already making his way back in a huff, but the moment Gyuri turned around his way, he’s have a little surprise for her - rising up to her side, he’d hand one arm over her chest, use the other to clutch her back, then leaped backward in a full flip, attempting to bring her to the canvas with a Standing Moonsault Side Slam.[/b]

"당신이 강하다고 생각합니까? ~실패자~!" Gyuri pushed back against the referee, remaining at arm's length as she gestured threatening at Willy. She wasn't making and effort to push back, not after she got in her cheap shot, at this point she was just pushing buttons. At the verbal threat of having the match called out, she finally backed off, taking a few steps away from Willy while keeping her eyes on him, a small smirk beneath her mask.

Viper met eyes with Theo when he glanced her way. She made no effort to intervene, just as unmoving on the apron as she had started the match off being. If she was going to help Gyuri, surely she would have slipped in while the referee was distracted or called out to her oblivious partner… apparently she was fine with what was about to happen even if it came at the expense of her teammate.

Gyuri motioned her pointer and pinky fingers at her eyes, thrusting them out in Willy's direction as a silent threat. Seemingly proud of herself, she turned to mop Theo up to be caught off guard as he was already up, wrapping an arm around her. She had enough time to reach up and clasp a hand on his forearm before being flipped forward off her feet. She came down hard on the mat with a bounce letting out a gasp of pain, arching her back as she writhed on the mat.

Willy, naturally, had not a single clue what Gyuri was saying, but he did know one thing - he didn’t much like it. Or any of this, really. At least Mariko had been hot and kind of into him, with the sexy show she’d put on, but it didn’t seem like Sucker Punch was buying into the whole ‘AFW Spirit’. Viper seemed determined to be the more boring woman in history to ever wear leather, and Gyuri was, well, a bitch.

So, when Theo got up and sent her packing with that Moonsault Slam, needless to say, it brought a smile to his face. ”Yeah, how you like that? Down you go!”

Theo, in the meantime, wasn’t in any mood to celebrate the temporary advantage. While he’d laid Gyuri out, the truth was that he wasn’t in the best spot to take advantage - he actually started to roll over with the intent to pin her, but gave up when his woozy head said otherwise. That Reverse DDT was having some lingering effects, and he’d need a moment to get over them before he could launch a continued offense.

And that was the beauty of a tag match.

He gave Gyuri a quick elbow in the side, just a little payback for earlier, and rolled away from her back towards his corner. Willy was already waiting with his hand out, more than eager to get in the action. ”Hitmehitmehitme-”

Theo slapped his hand and rolled under the ropes while Willy leaped in from above, quick to move in on their fallen foe. Reaching down, he wrapped his hands around her head and roughly hauled her up, forcing her to stand whether she was ready for it or not, manhandling her. ”Come on, troll doll. Time for you and me to dance.”

Gyuri grunted and the stiff shot to her ribs, rolling over onto her side as she clutched where Theo's elbow had struck her. He was getting up, moving away… she knew what that meant and it wasn't good. With a soft groan she flopped onto her front, trying to tuck in her knees enough to prep for a rise. She never got the chance to do so under her own power though, as hands clamped down on top of her.

She was hauled to her feet far rougher than she expected, kicking her feet wildly as she briefly left the mat entirely. She threw an elbow back hard, trying to clip Willy as he held onto her, desperate to not be in this position. She was a fighter to be certain, but on an even footing Willy was a far larger, stronger person than her. "내리세요!"

Now that he was back on the outside, Theo had time to rise up, take a breath, and try to take stock of what was going on here. Make sense of things. And the big question mark that kept popping into his head centered around the silent, still blonde in Gyuri’s corner - Viper.

He settled against the turnbuckle as Willy went to work, not too worried about his partner for the moment, but more interested in figuring out what their opponents’ strategy was. Viper didn’t seem to have any interest in getting involved in this match. At all. Not even a little bit. Was she mad at Gyuri? Trying to hold back, save herself for later? Did she just not care whether she won this match or not? The more he thought about it, the less it made sense, and the more it bugged him.

But, oh well. If Viper wanted this to be a handicap match, fine. Even though the last one hadn’t gone so well for them, now that he thought about it.

Willy certainly didn’t have a problem with it, either, more than happy to ragdoll the much smaller Gyuri about the ring. Her elbow didn’t do much more than tick him off - which, considering he was already ticked off, was just a drop in the bucket. He promptly responded by ducking down, grabbing her by the legs, lifting her up and slamming her back into down in the mat with his body weight behind the impact, drilling her into the canvas with a ring-shaking Spinebuster. ”Speak! English!”

That cocky air she had cultivated was finding it hard to withstand being manhandled by Willy. To have a fighting chance against him she would have had to avoid getting caught but now that he had his hands on her she was finding it next to impossible to struggle her way free.

Gyuri let out a frustrated scream as she was hauled off her feet as if she were nothing. Swinging her arms wildly to thrash and claw at Willy as he scooped her up. Down she went to the mat, impact enough to flatten her out and bring her frenzied struggles to a quick end. The impact rattled her hard and left her breathless beneath Willy.

Viper shifted her weight to lean against the corner post, her brows lofted ever so slightly as she took in the sight of her partner getting tossed around like a sack of potatoes. She didn't look particularly impressed by what she was seeing, though that wasn't clear if it was in relation to Blazewave or Gyuri. She finally spoke in similar language to the young Korean woman, though her dialect wasn't nearly as crisp as her younger counterpart. "더 잘해."

Gyuri let out a faint hiss at Viper's words, but not really in a position to make good on any sort of offense at the moment.
